While Damian was catching fish and Yug and Rune still had an argument going on.

Simon quietly sat down on the fresh green grass and spread his legs in front before opening the book.

He was curious to read it, and just like every book, this book was divided into two parts the first part was about the life of the founder, more like an autobiography, and the second part was all about the powers that Simon had and how he can control them.

He gulped and started from the autobiography, and by reading the start, Simon can tell that the founder had a shitty life, a very shitty life.

His mother's hand died and his father had blamed everything on him and abused him for years, his brother never talked to him and ignored him, but later he got to know that the elder brother was also abused and was forced to pretend to hate the founder to keep him safe.

Because the servants and the guards all were spies of the father, duke and no one was loyal to the elder brother, his every moment was reported to their father and so he had to remain indifferent to the founder, because if he pretended that he cared about his little brother then their father would harm then both.

Simon was just reading the first few chapters and his blood was already boiling, he felt rage about how can a father be like this when he compared the founder's father to his own father he felt like he was the luckiest being in the world and the shittiest son ever.

As he read further, it got more and more depressing and Simon's eyes became wet when he read about the mistreatment the founder had to suffer, he had never felt so much rage before.

The very people the founder wanted to serve, publically humiliated him and smeared his face with black ink tore his clothes, and tied his hands together before trying onto the horse and then dragging him all the way to the dungeon to punish him for a crime he didn't do?"

As Simon read further, there was in detail described each and everything that the founder suffered, everything that those people used to torture him, what made Simon most shocked was that the founder's own, his blood-related father, tortured him?

The more he read, the more anguish he felt.

Is he also like the founder's father? Because he tortured his son and Simon tortured his father, slowly poisoned him, and gave him a painful death when all he wanted was to protect him.

Simon felt so disgusted by himself that he wanted to jump into the ocean and hope that some huge animal might eat him.

Simon was holding the book so tightly that his knuckles had turned white and tears slipped from his eyes as his face contorted with anguish and the huge amount of guilt and disgust were like hundreds of needles poking his heart and going in deeper.

He was so lost in his past and the book that he forgot where he was.

"Simon?"

"Simon!" He was brought out of his trance when he was harshly shook, and he looked at the one who brought him out of his thoughts, it was Yug, who was looking at him with worry, "Son? are you okay? Why are you crying?" he said and wiped Simon's face.

Rune also sat in front of him and took the book from him, Simon let go of it without any hesitation. He was still a little disturbed, and once the book was out of his hands, he noticed that he was shaking.

Yug also noticed that and held his hands, which were surprisingly very cold.

"Strange." Rune said, "I wonder what did you see in this blank book that made you cry."

Simon frowned and looked at Rune, "It's not blank."

Rune scoffed, "Listen kid, I have no intention to mess with your head, this book is blank, see."

He gave the book to Yug and as Rune said Yug could only see the blank white paper, and not a single writing on it, "Simon... this book is blank. Are you sad because of that? Because this book is useless?"

Simon looked at the book and he could see each and every word, figure every sentence paragraph, but the other two can't, he gulped. Maybe no one else other than him can read this book.

That's a good thing.

Looks like the founder did everything he can to protect the divine knowledge from anyone who will ruin it. Simon's respect for him increased ten-fold.

And when he looked at Rune who was the replica of the founder he smiled slowly.

And then took the book from Yug, "Father... Damian must have caught fish, can we go and eat something? I am hungry."

"Yeah."

Rune looked around, "I think we should leave now if there is nothing else left to see," he said after looking at Simon.

Yug sighed, "Simon, tell me what happened inside? What did you see? And what did you find out?"

Simon gulped, he cannot lie, this time, maybe his father should know and so should Rune.

Well, Yug never told Rune or anybody except nancy, Damian, and Diora that he was blessed, maybe because he never trusted Rune, or maybe he never got the chance.

When Yug was called to the temple with Simon, Yug knew that temple wanted to check that if Simon was the favored one.

Simon's blood can heal wounds and so Yug injured himself and checked himself and to his horror, his son was indeed blessed because his blood had healed Yug's wounds, that was when he called Diora and Damian and they helped him arrange another child that he would take the temple and Simon would stay with Nancy hidden.

Simon sighed, he knows that Rune will never ever betray him, and he trusted him, so he had no problem letting Rune know, "Father, there is a library under the temple, a huge library...it has some nine million books."

Rune and Yug's eyes widened and Rune spoke, "And how do you know that there are nine million books? Did you count them?"

"Sean told me." Yug was looking at his son with a straight face but his eyes held confusion and disbelief while Rune placed a hand on his head,

"Wait, a goddamn minute! You out of nowhere suggested coming here to thousands of years old, abandoned, and broken buildings, you know how to open that door and surprisingly, it only opens from your blood.

You are saying that there are nine million books down there and Sean told you that? The founder, the founder, who is dead for thousands of years."

Rune sighed and kept a hand on his forehead, "Does this even makes sense? Why would a normal human, a child like you know all this unless..."

Rune paused and Yug gave him a look, and Rune looked at the father and son, "Unless you are special?"

Yug took a deep breath, "General." he interrupted him and gave him a small smile, "Would you mind helping Damian with the food? "

Rune was not foolish to not understand that Yug wanted to talk to his son, and something he didn't want Rune to listen to, so Rune gave one last glance to Yug and then to Simon before walking away.

Yug put Simon back on the ground and kneeled in front of him and asked in a very firm and serious voice, "Simon I want to know each and everything that happened inside that room and how did you find out about that door, and you better tell me the truth, and If you tried to lie, I will not forgive you."

Simon looked into Yug's eyes before sighing, "Yes, father."
