Chapter 1CP : 1 - Beginning

"You pathetic loser. Do you dare to lift your head still?" the blond man spoke while kicking my head. His expression disgusted me.

It had been around 6 hours since I was being held captive in this warehouse.

I tried to lift my head once again, but two men were holding my arms and my hands were tied behind my back. They didn't let me move.

The people beating me up right now were a group from my school and my neighborhood. Although I could beat each of them one-on-one, when the situation was 1 versus 10, there wasn't much I could do.

"Don't go too hard on the kid. I'm sure he's itching to eavesdrop on us," said the person with the nickname Neo. He was the leader of this group, known for bullying others.

"What we want from you is extremely simple. You will deliver the package there to the address I will give you. Besides, I know about your father's situation. Listen to me, and you can make some money."

I don't know what's inside the package he mentioned, but it's definitely not legal.

Their interest in me began when I reported them to the police. They started bullying me on the same day. I wish I hadn't reported them that day. The police turned a blind eye to what they were doing.

"Your father is still in jail, and I'm sure your brother is not sending you money every day. Deliver the package, and we'll give you money. It's a pretty good deal, I think. If you do the delivery job right, you can even spend time with beautiful girls," Neo spoke with a disgusting voice.

My father went to prison for money laundering. When my mother found out, she left us. My brother started a new life in another city. He sends me money for school from time to time, but we don't really keep in touch.

"Get lost. Take your disgusting package with you."

"If you take the package, I can arrange a meeting with your mother for you. I'm sure you're curious about where she is right now."

Neo spoke confidently.

Honestly, I was surprised. Could he know where my mother was? Or maybe my mother was involved in these kinds of things too? But I had already removed my mother from my life. She no longer mattered to me.

"Between us, it was actually your mother who had your father do the money laundering."

Neo smiled and continued talking.

"It cost me a lot to find out where your mother is. If you take the package, I can arrange a meeting for you."

Neo finished speaking.

But honestly, I didn't care if he knew where my mother was or if he could arrange a meeting for us. My mother had already abandoned me. She no longer had any significance to me.

Before I could finish my sentence, a man with a strange mask on his head and a gun in his hand entered the warehouse.

As soon as the man entered, he started firing his gun repeatedly. When I heard the gunshots, I lowered my head and closed my eyes. After firing about 8 shots, the sound stopped. I started to look around without raising my head.

"Didn't I tell you to be quiet, Neo? Is that a Makarov?"

Someone came out of the back room and spoke when he saw the man in the warehouse. He quickly went back to the room he came from.

"Hey! What the hell do you think you're doing, you bastard? This place belongs to the Raphea family."

The man inside shouted back, but the masked man didn't make a sound. Suddenly, he headed towards the room inside the warehouse.

Then he fired five shots. I couldn't distinguish between the sounds of the guns. I didn't know who had won, to be honest. Right now, I was trying to stay as quiet as possible. I guessed the police would arrive here within 5 minutes.

Someone had come out of the back room, but I couldn't see who it was. He was standing behind me. I had probably taken a deep breath. It would be absurd for him to leave me behind.

*POP*

I felt a pain that spread throughout my body from my head. But the pain lasted less than a second.

When I opened my eyes, there was a blue screen in front of me.

[Congratulations! You have become the 38th Dungeon Master.]

I Can Copy And Evolve Talents

Across the vast convolution of worlds, divine beings rule as absolute sovereigns—each god assigned dominion over a singular realm. Skirmishes are inevitable, whether for power, amusement, or sheer pettiness. One such battle, between Nexus, the God of Trickery, and an aging, senile deity, resulted in an anomaly… A soul misplaced. Elliot, an ordinary man, was never meant for Ul’Tra-el. But fate, or perhaps a cosmic prank, had other plans. Unlike other worlds, Ul’Tra-el is an aberration—one that developed a voice. A voice that diverged from the natural order. A voice that changed everything. Its foundation cracked, leaking dimensions into one another. Rifts tore open like festering wounds, vomiting forth unspeakable horrors—monsters not meant to exist. But the world did not sit idly by. In response—perhaps an act of self-preservation—the world gifted its inhabitants power. Talents awakened, granting people extraordinary abilities. And for every rift sealed, the Voice of Ul rewarded them generously. Survival was simple: fight, grow stronger, and close the rifts… or die trying. In this ruthless, blood-soaked reality, Northern—a white-haired boy burdened by his past life—was reincarnated. But unlike the chosen heroes, he awakened as a talentless nobody. No power. No strength. No future. And when death loomed over him—when despair clawed at his soul and the cold grip of the failure threatened to take him— A Voice responded: [System Notice] [Your Soul cannot take a form.] [Searching for a Unique Pattern Ability…] [Searching…] [Search Found.] [A Unique System Ability has been detected.] [You Can Copy And Evolve Talents] ... Follow Northern through his journey as he becomes the pinnacle of this world. This a story about a white-haired boy’s rise from rubbles!! Note: This is an overpower genre but MC does not just start off like that. Even though MC can copy talents he doesn't just jump around copying talents because there's a limitation. However, his rise to strength is depicted and is an experience to enjoy. The first few hundreds would be frustrating to follow because MC is weak but that makes the experience all the more interesting when MC finally gets freaking strong and starts wiping the floor with everyones asses.

GlaringError here! As I have already mentioned in my author review I am restating it here since I am getting tons of comments about it, that I am more of a reader myself than a writer, I made this novel in an attempt to capture my fantasy world residing in my mind into words.. Writing is new for me.. The premise of my novel is inspired by many great works that I have loved over the years. And some elements I have in my novel that are slightly similar to them but it's just the skeleton of it, the real meat of the plot is entirely my own cooking. Some of the influence that is more noticeable is from The Runesmith (By Kuropon), The King's Avatar (By Butterfly Blue) and Shadow Slave (By Guiltythree). I have immense respect for these legends and I can only hope to follow in their footsteps. To all those who comment just by judging the name, at least give it a chance before letting your opinions be known. Thank you.
