17 Cheating

Min Yue also ended up being entangled with his cousin, Du Tianxing, and together, they made plans to take revenge on the Min family and Yang family who were the reason why both his mother and sister were dead.

Min Yue never told Li Ruyan the truth about his mother and sister's deaths. He felt that it was only right that he did not involve her with the power struggles in his family and that a kind person like her was better off not knowing the things he went through.

It was for the best.

Li Ruyan looked at him with pity when they first met and Min Yue who has long gotten tired of that look did not want her to have the same lasting impression on him. He was still a man filled with pride. He naturally did not want to look weak infront of anyone, least of all, the woman he loves.

He thought that things could remain the same and that he would be able to carry out his revenge without her knowing about those ugly things.

And yet, she still found out and mistook his actions for infidelity. He did not fault her for it because if he was in her shoes, he would also think the same way.

But Min Yue did not cheat.

He did not like Yang Shiwei.

Never in his life would he ever love or like or feel anything for the daughter of the man who had a part in the murder of his mother and sister.

In fact, he loathed that woman in the same way he loathes CEO Yang for being involved with his mother's death. The perverted old fool who loved his mother but could not have her, planned her death and ending with his stepmother. And because that man could not have the woman he likes, he turned his eyes on his sister and coveted her.

Min Yue's anger for that man never dissipated no matter how much time has passed. Naturally, that anger and hatred also extended to that man's daughter who was just the same as her father, scheming against people and ruining people's lives.

Min Yue would never like that kind of person. His heart belongs to one woman alone and that woman's name was Li Ruyan, the person he was currently holding and embracing.

If it was up to him, he would stay by her side and continue hugging her, ignoring all his responsibilities and desire for revenge. Beside her, he could be himself and he would never have to hide his true feelings. If it was beside her, he did not need to think about anything.

He simply felt at peace.

However, because she did not know about the whole truth, she probably found this embrace repulsive and was itching to stay away from a 'cheater' like him.

Min Yue smiled bitterly.

"Yanyan, I am sorry. In time, I will tell you about the truth behind my mother and sister's deaths. For now, I can only ask that you trust me and not judge my actions based solely on face value. I am doing everything for a reason. Yanyan, you know me the most... Miss Yang is a spoiled young lady. I would never like that kind of person. And CEO Yang is not the kind of father-in-law that I would want to make a familial relationship with." Min Yue said very calmly to Li Ruyan's ears.

He kissed the tip and caressed them with his lips before pulling away, and allowing her some space. He also pulled back his arms and took a step back.

Li Ruyan turned around, glancing at him with a doubtful expression.

Min Yue looked at her, he was hoping that she would put her trust in him just this one time.

He did not want to lose her just because of one careless misunderstanding.

He realized that this was him being selfish but she was the only woman that he would ever cherish in this life. Li Ruyan was now the person that he valued the most in the world. He would not be able to stand it if she ended up being caught in his own battles.

And for them to be able to live their lives in peace together, this revenge was necessary. Du Tianxing, his cousin only cared about their revenge, he would not care if it somehow ended up hurting an innocent person as long as he was able to make the Min family and Yang family fall.

Min Yue was not the same. He would not allow any harm to befall his woman. Li Ruyan deserved to be tucked safely away from all this, even if she ended up developing negative feelings for him.

Min Yue accepted that she would hate him and be angry at him but as long as she still believed in him, that would be fine. He'd take all the blame and chase after her even until his death, whenever that was.

"Yanyan, believe in me. I only want you to trust me right now. Please." He bowed his head to her. In this life, he would only ever bow his head towards her and no one else. He was a very prideful man but when it came to his woman, he could even throw away all his pride and dignity just to please her.

'You hate me, Li Ruyan. But I am doing this for us. Yang Liu must not get away with his deeds. The same can be said for the rest of the Min family who allowed my mother and sister to die.' Min Yue thought.

Li Ruyan was in doubt.

She wanted very badly to turn away and tell him to leave but in her heart, he was still the same man that she loved and cherished the most. The man that made her happy, smile, and laugh was no other than Min Yue.

Even after finding out that he cheated on her for three months, he still told her to trust him and that he was doing this thing for a reason.

But is there a reason for someone to cheat on their lover?

Li Ruyan was unable to come up with a reason because, in her mind, cheating was cheating.

There was no excuse for it and those who cheat should be condemned to hell.
