Chapter One Hundred and Forty-six: Without further Ado

That afternoon, the Emperor, the Empress, and the Imperial Prince prepared themselves, especially for that afternoon's meeting. Even though they were not in the same room and did not plan for such trifling matters, the Royal Family seemed to dress the same way; golden and flamboyant. It was as if to let the officials know who, once again, was the ruler of the Empire. 

As soon as the two knights that were guarding the audience hall noticed the presence of the Royal Family, they straightened their backs as they opened the door and announced their arrival. "His Majesty, the Emperor, Her Majesty, the Empress, and His Highness, the Prince had arrived!"

Hearing those words made everyone be attentive and bow respectfully to the imperial family, together with the sun setting and birds seeming to find a place to rest.
