Chapter 2

After going through the memories I was amazed at the number of ninjutsu in my arsenal. There were many but most of them were of fire and wind element. I was glad about having two natural affinities because this made me talented already.

The battle and training experience of Aoki was etched in my mind but I still felt a little off when practicing ninjutsu. Come to think of it , this should be normal because those experiences were not fully mine in the first place.

Still the otherworldly experience of easily spitting fire from my mouth already made my day. I was feeling happy and excited when I thought about learning new jutsu in the future on my own. But I forcefully suppressed that feeling for now because there was already too much knowledge inside my mind which was waiting to be practiced properly.

The battles of ninja especially jounin class ones were too high paced ones according to the memories. So I did not want to die because of time delay when using jutsu during life and death battles. Well it would take time anyway so I had decided to stick with only B rank missions for now.

Actualy there were missions of different difficulties in the same rank too. The ranking was not apparent but could be seen after just going through the introduction of the mission. I planned to take on the ones with lowest difficulty and raise the difficulty in time as I felt that I was ready for them.

Tsk.. my first plan was to take on C rank ones but I had no choice but to discard it because according to rules , jounin class ninja could only take C rank and below missions if they are assigned a genin team. I had no wish for now to babysit fresh genins like Kakashi from the anime for now.

Come to think of it , Kakashi should be working in anbu now. Aoki was same age as Kakashi so he should be about 25 years old now. If I remember correctly then the cannon would start when Naruto was 12 or 13 years old.

Hmm.. there was not much time left then. Too many events would occur after that so I needed to become as strong as I could before them. Looks like I had no choice but to rely on my golden figure then to become stronger quickly and more easily.

Yes I had one like many other time travelers too. The problem was that currently it seems to be locked for some reason. I climbed on top of a thick branch and sat down with a thoughtful look. But my focus was on the system inside my mind.

Right now , I could only check my STATUS. The other functions were grayed out so I assumed that I just had not fulfilled some kind of conditions to unlock them yet.

My stats seemed to great and I was satisfied with them too but I also knew that compared to the real talented ones , mine were really not that great either. After all my body stats could be said were intermediate among jounin class but my chakra was barely at basic Jounin level.

According to system the rankings were like this :

Civilian : 1 to 10

Genin : 10 to 50

Chunin : 50 to 200

Jounin : 200 to 500

Elite Jounin : 500 to 1000

S rank - 1000 to 5000

Kage - 5000 to ..

If I compared then my stats were realy not that great compared to the real powerhouses of this world.

I was starting to feel urgency because I did not have much time but the cannon would start real soon. I could still train my body to its limits and break them to improve my body stats but I was helpless when it came to chakra. It would increase with my physical strength but I knew that the improvement would not be that great either.

The reason was the innate talent limit of this body. Aoki realy was talented to reach jounin level but I felt that the limit was already there. At this rate I could reach the level of elite jounin at best and that too in my whole lifetime at that. I simply did not have that much time.

I had no wish to participate in the upcoming war but I also knew that I would be forced to if I remained as a shinobi of Konoha. Most importantly my wish was to travel the world at some point of time and that too needed strength to face unexpected dangers and enemies.

So my main hope for now was that I could somehow unlock these system functions and expect some great stuff.

For rest of the day , I tried as many ninjutsu as I could to familiarize with them but my poor chakra capacity once again reminded me of the urgency to find a way to quickly increase it permanently..
