I am the Heiress of the Lost Kingdom

Short story...

In the land of Arnstone,There were a number of different kingdoms. Each Kingdom was set up by a group of different people. There were the ice people, The Fire people, The water people, the Greenery people and the fliers.

These people all had different abilities and power that enabled them to do different things. But amongst these kingdoms, The fire and the Ice kimgdoms were the most powerful and the other kingdoms feared them.

However, People prefered the ice clan because the fire clan was evil. The two took control of almost the whole land but they always had disputes.

In the legends, It had been said by the gods that in the time to come, A child shall be born from two different kingdoms of the five and this child will come with three shooting starts on the night of its birth on a full moon.

It was said that the child's parents shall both die that very night the child will be born and that this child will will doom to the whole land.

It had been prophesized that this child will cause a number of wars where many people will die and that at the end the child will become the ruler of the whole nation.

Because of this prophecy, The different kingdoms made sure that there were no inter marriages amongst them.

They all promised each other that in case three shooting stars were seen one night, All those babies born that night must be killed to avoid the prophecy.

Then the unbelievable happened one day. A princess from the ice kingdom fell in love with a man from the fire clan. At first she didn't know but she came to realize when it was too late. She was already carrying his child and when the people found out, The princess was asked to abort her unborn child but she refused.

" Of you don't want to abort the child and leave that man, Then I am no longer your father. The title of the princess has been removed on you. " Her father the King of the ice clan said.

" Father...I am sorry but I can't kill my child. And its not ypu are sure that my child is the one that the gods talked about. Very many children have been born from mixed clans. " The princess said.

Her name was Princess Aurora.

" But you brought shame to our family. You know very well how we hate the fire clan. " The King spoke.

" I know that Father. For now I will leave your kingdom. " Aurora said and just like that she was exiled from her Kingdom.

She went with her lover Liam to a deep village village of Roseville of the greenery people. This was the most friendly clan that had mixed tribes.

These tribes could be differentiated by their eyes.

The ice clan had blue eyes, the fire clan had red eyes and , the greenery green, the water purple and the fliers had black. Though some had the ability to disguise into other clans.

After 9 months

Aurora was in the cottage with Liam who was now her husband. They had been living happily for the past 9 months until today when Aurora's stomach begun hurting.

Liam was just preparing their dinner when he heard Aurora groan in pain and rushed to her.

" Darling...are you fine ? " Liam asked with worry.

" It's the baby..it's coming

...." Aurora said in gasps.

" Oh..." Liam panicked and rushed out to call someone to help them.

There was a local doctor in the neighborhood and some other women who rushed in to help them.

Liam waited from outside impatiently as he had the noise from inside. Aurora was groaning in pain and the women were encouraging her to push.

It was very dark outside and the moon was full. There were a number of full stars and it was already midnight.

Aurora finally managed to push the baby and when it was out the local doctor held it. It was a she. The baby cried immediately

The local doctor smiled on seeing the newly born baby and she said.

" Aurora, It's a baby girl..." Said the local doctor

Aurora smiled from the pain.

Liam who was outside heard the voice of the baby cry and smiled. The moment he got up to run inside the room he saw three shooting stars in the sky pass immediately.

He looked at the moon and it was full.

' Could it be that our child was the one talked about ? '

He asked himself and then rushed inside . He first put the three shooting stars things aside and smiled on seeing his baby.

Aurora smiled too on seeing her husband and baby.

Liam got the baby in his and then pressed a kiss on Aurora's forehead.

",It's a girl..." He said.

" Let me have a look. " Aurora said and the baby was given to her.

" Husband..please take good care of her. " Aurora said in gasps giving Liam back the child.

" Aurora...we shall. We shall take good care of her. " Liam said.

" I am sorry husband..I won't make it. " She said softly.

" What do u mean ? " Liam asked getting worried.

The other women looked at her in worry.

" ...I ...don't think that I can. " She managed to speak but one could see that she was really struggling to talk.

" No Aurora...you will..."

" I love you Liam...Call her Aria .." This is all Aurora could say at last and she finally heaved her last breath and passed away.

" Aurora...Aurora..." Liam tried to call but in vein.

They were like this when another woman from the neighborhood came into the house.

" The three shooting stars have been seen and the the law has been passed on that every child born on this night must die. " The old woman said.

" Liam...You have to run away with the baby before the officers get here. They will be each house now. " Said the old doctor.

Liam nodded in tears and then wrapped the baby in warm clothes.

They did that as fast they could.
