Chapter 134: Her Return

Shub and Salome holed up in the tower and prepared their vehicles to make an escape. "Listen Shub, our convoy vehicles are mostly unarmed. We can't let them get any of our arsenals or assets, if we're right. The 2nd herrscher assimilated the 1st one." Salome got solemn.

"Alright, I hear ya." Shub was still relaxed, as she always got out of a pinch. "We will fight atop our vehicles." Salome briefed her companion again.

"You're saying that because you're a ranged fighter." Shub thought Salome was being biased as she was specialized in range.

"Shut up Shub, don't focus on the fight. We have to get out of here as soon as possible." Before Salome could argue again, the tower shaked as multiple honkai beasts crashed onto it and tried breaching.

"Master Salome! We're finished! All exits are guarded by numerous honkai beasts!" A scientist ran to them and told them the news.

The remaining personnel quickly armed the garrison and shot down the honkai beasts at their exit, so they could escape.

"The way is clear! All stragglers would be left behind! Your orders are to leave this place as fast as you can!" Salome barked and everybody scrambled to board the vehicles.

Atop a nearby hill, Pat was exhausted and is heavily injured from fighting off the hordes. Dropping her gun as it smoked from overheating.

"Salome, Shub. I really wanted to say hi to you girls. But I'm afraid you might get angry that I'm receiving 2 paychecks. Drive on girls, don't look back. The damned honkai messed up my face." She staggered and a templar loomed behind her.

"If only I had 2 arms, I would have greeted them with 2 little friends, but that's life." She took a swig of beer and looked at the convoy.

"Sorry Cecilia, you have to take care of these snow pups by yourself... Patricia Highsmith, A-rank valkyrie. Signing off..." She smiled one last time and she closed her eyes as she heard the templar stab its lance onto her.

But it never came, she opened her eyes and looked behind her. Pat then lost the strength in her legs and sat down on the snow.

"Yare, yare. What's Lieserl doing? Leaving an operative here to die alone without support? Not even having a communicator? I gotta teach her how to take care of operators it seems." Ein appeared with his entourage and she saw the demon Kosma crunch the honkai beast like a piece of candy.

"Ein-sama..." Pat looked at them and felt her heart beat faster. Thinking that even one of them is enough to save her friends. She then pointed at the convoy with panic.

"Ein-sama! Please, save my friends. They're not going to make it with that thing overlooking the place." She gestured at Bella that was flying and watching the surroundings like a hawk.

"Hmmm, Nuwa is right. That judgement class honkai beast gained more intellect and got stronger due to a pseudo herrscher core. Don't worry, Pat. Support's here, well. They might get injured, but they won't die." He smiled and patted her head. She then got rejuvenated, surprising the valkyrie as she also got her arm back in an instant like it wasn't missing in the first place.

"Adelheid is arriving in 1 minute, Ein. I'll just support them with little book for now. One of the members of squad snowwolf is also nearby." Fuxi carried little book in her arms and she let the little ELF go. Book saluted and flew to the battlefield.

"Okay, let's relax for now. This is Adelheid's fight, she trained for years anticipating this battle." He took out a seemingly normal tent, making Patricia skeptical about relaxing inside. But when she entered, it was perfectly warm and looked like a fancy room that her overseer would furnish.

Ein took out food and drinks and gestured for Pat to get some. He then grasped a remote and pointed it at the displays. Pat was gobsmacked and the place now looked like a surround sound movie theatre.

"May I interest the lady with some wine? It's nice after spending a rough day at the cold." He smiled and poured her a drink.

"Ummm, sorry. But will they really be fine?" Patricia was nervous and thought her friends would get swarmed at any second.

"What a good friend, they'll be fine. It isn't them you should be worried about." Fuxi patted her on the back and they watched little book in action.

Bella noticed the convoys and she squinted her eyes. "It seems a few humans have eluded us."

Bella charged up a ball of honkai energy that crackled with electricity. She then threw it at them and Salome noticed it immediately.

"Brace for incoming impact!" She formed a shield with all her might, the attack made contact and it got stopped for a second. But her attempt to block it was for naught as her shield shattered and the attack was going to hit her still.

Little Fuxi then swooped in and blocked the ball of death. "Ahhh, a worthy opponent. Our battle will be legendary!" Little book looked at Bella and pointed at her. The convoy was shocked, seeing a baby sized kid blocking the attack.

"She really looks cute doing that I can't take her seriously." Ein chuckled and Fuxi nodded, Pat looked at the little cute thing that protected her friend and couldn't believe she stopped that attack without difficulty.

"What in the world is that kid?" Shub immediately went to Salome and carried her back to the convoy as she drained herself trying to shield them from Bella's attack.

"A child? No matter, impossible." Bella tried sensing the mysterious floating being and couldn't get a grasp on what she was.

"Stop gawking honkai beast, I am little book. And I will be the end of you! Observe." Little book started shooting beams at all the honkai beasts present, killing them with efficiency.

Bella furrowed her brows and started to create more balls of energy. Thinking that the little creature was suspiciously similar looking to the girl that bodied them on the moon.

"My queen shall prevail! I will not let you through, even if I die here. Whatever you are." Bella swooped in and they started shooting at each other.

Little Fuxi with concentrated fireballs that rained down on Bella like homing missiles. Exploding upon impact and causing chaos and destruction.

Bella blew flames on Little Fuxi and willed lightning to strike her down, but they were in a deadlock and the convoy could only watch on in shock as the little kid could fight the judgement class honkai beast toe to toe.

"What in the hell!? The little kid is even stronger than us!" Shub saw their fight and they were annihilating every single honkai beast just from the collateral.

Salome gained consciousness and thanked the little girl in her heart. "Move! Damnit! This is our chance to go to the evac point!" She shouted and the convoy started moving again.

"Wow... That umm, little girl sure is powerful." Patricia watched them fight and Fuxi nodded in satisfaction.

"Of course. Little book was made to be a companion bot. But now that Phoenix has her friends again, we modded her to take down Vipralopa class honkai beasts on her own." Fuxi sipped some tea and thought the little droid was now perfection.

"Vipralopa class? That means ruin or destruction right?" Patricia was confused as that classification of honkai beast hasn't appeared anywhere.

"Well, you're lucky you haven't seen or heard one. Because if it did, humanity would've been forced to go underground and never see the light of day. Especially if Vishnu was the one that appeared." Ein replied while eating some popcorn.

Patricia shuddered and thought the little android was even more amazing than she thought.

"Aye, having a cold one is much much better. I better greet my friends I think. I want to see them." Patricia stood up and grabbed two bottles of beer.

"Okay, bring them here too. You wanna watch the paladin fight for real right? She's going to give us a grand show." Ein waved her goodbye and Patricia nodded, excited to introduce her friends to Ein.

Adelheid then arrived at the scene and saw Bella fighting with an ELF. "The book of Fuxi? But she's supposed to be only rated for emperor class honkai beasts..."

Little Fuxi was getting tired of their exchange and she decided to get a little physical. "Aight, Imma throw hands!" She flew to Bella's position and socked her on the face, making her crash down on the ground.

The ELF then grasped on Bella's hair and dragged her face on the earth, plowing it with her head. She finished her attack with a kick and Bella crashed through entire forests before landing on a mountain.

"Kyahahaha! Did you like that?" Little book laughed like a maniac and felt wonderful as her new mods gave her super strength as well.

"The fuck is happening right now?" Adelheid stared at the ELF and thought she might be the bad guy here with how she's cackling like a madman.

"Ohh, you're Cecilia's sister. I guess you're here to take care of the honkai eruption? Well, that was fun while it lasted. I'm getting tired now, I want to sleep." Little book yawned and floated slowly back to their tent to get some sleep.

"Okay..." Addy then shook her head and raised a sphere of her blood high up in the sky. With her boosted int stat, she used her enhanced mental faculties with the 1st gate to target every single honkai beast at the area with pinpoint accuracy.

Thousands of them died instantly as the Schariac's holy blood acted as miniature spears skewering them and breaking the beasts down from the inside.

"Well, they won't be causing trouble now. It's time for Sirin. I hope Natasha and Bronya won't get roped into this." She then flew to the nearest sign of immense honkai energy.

Somewhere nearby the tower, Sirin looked at the 3 graves of her friends and made pseudo herrscher cores.

"Avrora, Agata, Galina. You won't believe it, but I went to the moon... We'll make them pay for what they did to us." Sirin used the 1st herrscher's powers to create bodies and she inserted a pseudo core in each of them.

"Let's do this girls. Let's change this world to what it ought to be. Clean, pure, pristine..." The bodies started to gain consciousness and Sirin teleported them all over the world to start her purge.

In Finland, a super hurricane appeared out of nowhere and a reporter inside a chopper saw a silhouette of a girl flying at the eye of the storm.

"This is madness! I just saw something fly inside that storm!" The pilot then saw a bus flying to them, but they were able to dodge and fly away to safety.

"My dear Avrora, the wind of bitter end. I name thee, prince of Desire. The vanquisher of men."

At Kazakhstan beams of fire were slicing buildings apart. Fires raged in the heart of the city and a glowing red girl smiled as she burned everything in her wake.

"Brave Agata, command my holy fire. Rise as the prince of haste and light their funeral pyre."

A city in Russia was suddenly engulfed in a black mist. And people started disintegrating into dust.

"Sweet Galina, the prince of Serenity. I order you forth to unleash the sleep of eternity."

Sirin started siphoning honkai energy that was scattered into the world as more people perished, but it was so little.

"My god told me that feeding on the human cities would give me greater power. But there's barely anything coming to me. What is happening?" She thought there might be a mistake, but it was just Aesir saving everyone as much as possible.

"Hmph, no matter. This world is done and from its ashes I will create a perfect world. A paradise for my people." Sirin then tried calling for her loyal servant but there was no response.

"Bella. Bella... Where in the world are you?" She was starting to get irritated. A white and red blur then crashed right in front of her as the dust exploded.

"Bella isn't here. And I will put a stop to your shenanigans right now." Adelheid brandished Abyss flower and threw it right at Sirin.

She blocked it with a subspace lance and looked at the newcomer with narrowed eyes.

"Another human, but you are not nearly as strong as that girl on the moon. Hmph, an insect at best." Sirin surrounded Adelheid with her lances and willed them to skewer her like a porcupine.

"You know nothing girl." Addy created swords of blood and parried the lances, surprising Sirin as they should just phase through those without difficulty.

"It seems you have a couple of tricks up your sleeve. But I will still prev-" She was monologuing again so Addy coated her hands with her blood and decked her on the face. Launching her through multiple trees before she corrected herself.

Sirin looked at the blood coming from her mouth and a tooth that got loose as it fell. "You dare... You hit your queen as she speaks!? I will tear you limb from limb like the insect you are!"

Sirin boiled with anger and rained down lightning on Adelheid, accompanied by the flames of the 7th herrscher. Burning down the dry trees like tinder and melting tons of snow as it released steam.

She then used her wind to disperse the steam and she saw massive vines covered in blood. It unraveled and Adelheid was virtually unharmed.

"You aren't the only one with perks here! Now, let's rock! Gate of opening, release!" Addy then split abyss flower into two and brandished her weapons.

"Interesting, I will have fun with you. Tearing your limb one by one will be entertaining." Sirin floated and they were in a standoff.

Black abyss shone with a dangerous light as the miasma in it started to get released. Disintegrating the surroundings.

Sirin eyed the black spear that was surely dangerous and planned on skewering her from the back as she opened a portal that was hidden.

A snowflake then started to fall in front of them. And Adelheid tensed, her surroundings slowed down to a crawl as she focused. The gate of opening quickening her perception to the max.

Sirin's hand twitched and Adelheid immediately lunged toward her. The ground exploded as their battle for humanity's extinction and safety has begun.
