I sat down quietly beside her.

Jackie was sleeping. There was scrowl on her forehead and a frown on her damaged sleeping face. Definitely not sleeping peacefully and it made my heart clenched a bit. Okay more than just a bit, my heart ached actually.

But her breath was steady and calm. It was as if she faced nothing and had no problem in life.

That's exactly what I wanted her to feel. Not just when she's breathing but every single time. And by my side.

I gently rubbed the lotion on her scared face. Her face felt rough under my hand and its all because of the scars that were forming on her face.

She hadn't felt my movement on her face and was still fast asleep.

The lotion would take up to an hour before taking effect. It would help the marks on her face heal and don't turn to scars.

But what's really on my mind and is really pressing me is how on heart was I going to convince Jackie to not press charges on Ryan?
