Annie Cresta, who, typical of teens her age, was obsessed with Harry Potter.  Books. Movies. Cards. Games. If there was anything related to Harry Potter, she should have it. This was her way of life. And, like teens her age, who wished to be born in the universe as their favorite movie or show. She did too.  Unfortunately, her wish was granted in the worst possible way.  A car crash that led to the death of her parents and her younger brother caused her to reincarnate into the Harry Potter-verse.
