When I look at the map of Long-Lizard island, I learn the reason why it was called that. The island has the shape of a lizard, and it is massive. Three times the size of the previous island, maybe a little bit bigger than that.

When we get out of the ship, we are greeted by a group of people. The first one greeting us is a middle-aged man with light blue hair.

"Greeting and welcome to the Long-Lizard island White Warrior."

"Ah, you already know about me?"

"Of course, we already notice our personal banner in the distance."

I smile a little and look back at the flag on my ship. Underneath the Marine logo is my personal banner. It was a combination of Sword and Shield. It was a symbol from the game I liked in my previous life.

It was the symbol of the Rune of Beginning from the Suikoden series.

It symbolizes our crew very clearly. We will protect the innocent as a shield and eradicate the people causing suffering as a sword. The Rune of Beginning also symbolizes us giving other people a second chance.

"Ah, I see. Anyway, we come here to explore the island and maybe get some of the herbs on this island. In exchange we will do a free healing and check up for all the villagers."

"We gladly accept your offer, Captain Yuuji. Welcome to Long-Lizard Island."

"Thank you."

"Please follow me, there is a house you can use for your hospital."

I nod, and we follow the village chief to the building not too far from the port where we dock our ship. The building is not too big but not too small either. It is a three-floor building with a good backyard.

After making sure we are cleaning all of the corners of the building, we begin to prepare for the hospital. When the entire building is sanitized, we open it to the public.

"Alright, the hospital is ready. We will open it for a few hours for now because we still need to prepare. For today's service, I will take care of the one who is crippled, the one who has severe injury while my assistance will be taking care of the one who has light sickness and injury. Please make a queue and don't push each other."

My first patient is an older man in his sixties. Half of his limbs are gone and replaced by fake wooden limbs.

I nod my head and put away his wooden limbs before working.

"Mighty breeze, heal from the sky! Curaja!"

After my chant, his limbs regrow from nothing, and I can see him widen his eyes in surprise. After looking at the limbs for a few seconds, I nod my head.

"That should do. Please take it slowly, don't get into a fight for a few days, at least three days. Don't strain your new limbs, okay?"

"Thank you, healer. I will not forget this help."

"Don't worry about it. Next!"

The next one has the same problem; half of his limbs are gone. I look behind him, and half of the people in the queue have the same problem.

"Huh? There are many people who have their limbs missing."

"Oh yeah. People in this place are warriors and fighting against a massive beast is not easy. They are tough and losing one limb did not make us give up on hunting because if we are giving up we will be overrun by the beast."

"Fair enough. Just make sure you guys did not lose your limbs too often."

"Hahahahaha! You don't need to worry about us, young'un. We are a tough bunch. Losing one or two limbs will not make us useless."

I nod my head and cast another Curaja spell to regrow his limbs.

We worked in the hospital for four hours and stopped when the sun started to set. After healing the one who lost his eye, I got up and said,

"I'm sorry but this will be the last. We will continue tomorrow morning. If there is an emergency you can get back here and ask for our help."

Some of them are disappointed, but they accept it without too much fuss, unlike some of the previous islands I visited.

I get up from my chair and look at my crew still working on people with common diseases like cold and food poisoning. If only there were antibiotics in this world, my work would be easier. Wait! I can make them myself! I take out the tablet from my pocket and start searching.

The captain of the ship called Yuuji was watching from the side while ordering his men to hunt the beast. The said beast is a giant bear-like creature that we call Lakurts Bear. It has the shape of a bear but stands twenty meters tall, and its body is covered with scales instead of fur.

"Good! Now aim for that spot! The scale is gone, aim for it."

Hearing his command, his crew begins to move to attack that one weak point. Slowly but surely, the bear is defeated from bleeding too much. I can see they are celebrating, but it will be their mistake because….

I take out my spear and get ready to fight the much bigger beast, but before we can do anything, Captain Yuuji appears above the bear in the blink of an eye and punches the bear down.

I look at the captain splitting his body into six and using his sword to stab the neck of the bear. Six bodies move and cut off the bear's head.

I look at my father, who is standing next to me, and say,

"I want to be a marine."

I can see my father slowly nodding his head and saying,

"Sure. Go ahead. I will support you. If they are the medic of the Marines, I cannot imagine what kind of people their powerhouse will be."
