"What was that for!" Qin Meirong complained. She covered her forehead and glared at Avina.
Avina gritted her teeth. "Did you tell the Emperor that you weren't sick?"
"Yes," Qin Meirong admitted, "But what does that have to do with anything."
"It has everything to do with everything!"
Avina massaged her temple. She turned her attention to the monitor she asked 5025 to set up. It showed Bai Zhenli riding out of the palace towards the South where the battle was happening.
"Fortunately, my head is still attached to my neck," Avina grumbled while rubbing her neck. She glared at Qin Meirong. "Or I would've been a ghost haunting your side."
At her words, Qin Meirong finally showed some fear. She scurried to Avina's side and looked her up and down. "Are you hurt anywhere? Did you offend the Emperor someway?"
"I'm not hurt, but the Emperor was indeed mad," Avina said.
