God's Inheritance

66 million years ago a God of the Universe was dying after losing a war against multiple other Gods who wished to take over all of his lands and take all his resources so that they can get stronger and more powerful as well as eliminate other powerful Gods.

While he still had a bit of life left in him to create an inheritance on his original planet he had made that was called Earth, in the hopes that one day someone from his planet can inherit it as well as get revenge for him in the future. Unfortunately, after he placed it on Earth and died the Gods that took over all his lands, made an asteroid hit Earth killing most of the living beings on the planet as well as taking all the items and anything he left on Earth apart from the inheritance.

They also killed all other life on other planets in the Universe and took all the resources before leaving the Universe hoping it would just die out and ended up getting forgotten about by all. Unknown to all of his old enemies the Universe didn't die out as well as life appeared on Earth again and only in a matter of time will the old God's inheritance will be found.

Now in 2022, a group of people from Earth are out in a forest exploring it, just having some fun together, messing around deep in the forest away from any civilization. as it was their first time in a while just exploring the forest as they hadn't done it for a long time since they were younger. It was still light and they had only been a day so far as they plan to just spend the week in the forest together till they all needed to get back to and carry on with life. Not knowing soon all of the group's lives will be completely changed.

James, one of the people was a shy guy but was fine around friends and others he knows and also believes he would do anything for his friends and people he cares about. He was 6'3 with brown hair and brown eyes nothing too remarkable about him just your normal person in the modern world.

"Anyway it's been nice so far so far being able to get away for a bit and just to relax with all of you," he said to the 3 people as they kept walking.

"Yeah, I do agree college has been busy for all of us so it's good to be able to all meetup and do this" one of the females said to him being called jess who was short 4'8 blonde hair girl with blue eyes.

The other 2 also agree with it and just nod. the other 2 are called Michael who was another tall guy at 6'2 with brown hair and blue eyes and the other Rebecca a redhead girl who is 5'6 and has slightly green eyes. They had all been friends for years in school but hadn't talked or done too much since starting college with each other.

As they kept talking more about how life was and enjoying the forest, in the corner of James's eye he saw a pack of wolves that seem to be getting closer to them and looking like they may attack them. "Guys we need to run now wolves are running at us" James shouts and starts running.

The others look around as he says that and sees the wolves getting closer to them and start running with James as the girls scream not wanting to be attacked so they all started running as fast as they could. They all just kept running as fast as they could hoping the now running wolves won't catch up to them and kill them all. The only thing is even running the wolves and Rebecca was starting to fall behind too now.

"Rebecca keep running you can't slow down" James screamed not wanting something to happen to her.

Rebecca now breathing heavily struggling to keep up started to cry a bit " I don't know how much longer I can keep running but I don't want to die yet James" cries more as she struggles to keep up more slowing down more.

Michael and Jess looked round to see but didn't care much that their friend could die and just kept running more making the distance between them and James and Rebecca more. James stayed with Rebecca trying to make sure she keeps up and doesn't get killed, but it wasn't going well she was getting slower and the wolves catching up fast as she cried more not wanting to die.

They kept running but the wolves caught up more and were close ready to pounce on Rebecca, just as one was going to jump on her she screamed more and cried. it scratched her back but before it would do more James jumped knocking the wolf off Rebecca and pushing her away to save her life as doing that the floor gave in underneath them and all around dragging Michael and Jess in too.

James got knocked out when saving Rebecca from the wolves as well as the fall, Rebecca wasn't in the best shape as well with her back bleeding from being cut by the wolves. She then woke up a short time after seeing she was awake she was relieved and happy she was till she then remembered how James saved her life and started worrying if he was alive as she looked around the now room she was in to look for James.

It didn't take long till she found him unconscious she quickly moved over to see if he was alive crying a bit hoping he was, as she was still injured she crawled over and hugged him while seeing if he was alive still and after she did she breath happy he was but as she was injured all she did was hugging him hoping someone will save them.

While James and Rebecca lay unconscious and injured, Jess and Michael explored the ruin-type building they are in not caring too much about their other 2 friends as to be honest they didn't like them too much but stayed with them. But all of a sudden all 4 heard a voice.

"Welcome to my inheritance I'm happy some people have finally found it as a reward I will make you all ascend to become Gods as there are 4 of you I can only give you the power to awaken, all I hope is you get stronger and you may kill or try to do something against the people who killed and robbed my and your Universe" after saying that the last bit of the Gods being looked over the 4 and who they are.

Sadly he found 2 (Jess and Michael) would be bad to inherit more and may even course more trouble but nothing he could do, that's when he saw James and especially how he had helped his friend so decided to gift his full inheritance to the unconscious boy as well more power to Rebecca. He also used the rest of his power to hide the power James and Rebecca have in hopes that with the help of the system he gives they can grow strong and be safe. Right after it went black for all 4 as they ascended to the God's realm.
