Chapter 1I'm a sword

Where am I? There's grass dirt, sunlight and clear skies. Am I going to field? No wait wait. There's trees okay so a forest wait. How did I get here? Yeah I got nothing. I can't move my and there's a blade where my leg should be. Wait was I always a sword I can't seem to recall the more I think about it. The more I feel like something's not right here. There's like countless amounts of information and I don't recall when it required them. The deeper I dig the more I feel like there was something really important that i was supposed to be doing. But when I question it what kind of business would a sword be doing so it's can't move right? I try to push the subject a bit more but before I can get anywhere or rather large guy comes in from between the trees, he spots me sitting in the clearing more like stuck in the clearing and grabs me by the head and drags me off by my blade. Guess I want to field trip. After half an hour of walking. He's walking more dragging for me. We reach out wagon with no roof. A bunch of scattered dirty door damaged blades laid in the bed of the wagon while a rather large nosed man who is clearly balding at the top was hailing the wagons horses. The man tossed me in with the others and they set off towards the city.

Okay. It's been about 3 days since I got here. So far what I've gathered is this information that I'm carrying is memories that I can't associate to myself. Why apparently when the guy who took me was apparently owns a weapon shop took me apart well to a degree. Turns out I'm not actually a sword. I don't know what I am but from what I'm gathered I'm at the sort itself but along the wide hills of the sword there is a jewel like thing embedded in the core. The man took it out and assessed it when I tried to get a good look from them. Flexion of a shield hanging on the wall. I noticed that there was a small crack along the back of it. If my whole being is apparently the core, then it's more logically to say that that piece that's missing might be my identity or at least the part of me that associates all these memories I have. So if I find that piece of me I should be able to recall myself and therefore remember what it is. I'm forgetting but I can't really do that as a sword who is very much a mobile. I've tried to move like multiple times nothing's happening but another interesting thing. The body that's my chorus currently housing is a rather fascinating one The hilt is made of bronze with triangular steel pieces embedded into both the electric right side resembling monstrous teeth. My jewel goes all the way through the hollowed out center and it would appear that the missing piece of my jewel was taken out so that they could wedge in the part of the sword that whole the warrior holds. So in theory, if I want to find my missing piece, I'd want to locate my craftsman sounds easy enough. I guess if I can only get out of here.

Okay, it's been about a month. This place sucks. I've been trapped in a barrel for a while now. Worst of all the bargain barrel. I'm worth one silver or seven coppers that really has got to hurt my pride. Plus all the other swords in this barrel aren't nearly as good as I am Tell me they were arrested and some of them have chip blades. The only reason I'm in here is because my core is doing a cracked in on the top half and if someone ever took me apart they'd see that. Plus I guess the parts that make up my sword may be an inferior quality as well. What's a sword got to do to get some good representation around here. Another thing I've been trying and trying but no one is able to hear me. I've also try to talking to the other swords none of the swords seem to be capable of holding up a conversation. Yeah I can understand a good majority of what everyone else is saying. The shopkeepers always complaining that not enough people stop by despite how well he sets up his shop. He's got a barrel in the corner where I'm at of the shop. There are two openings so that people could come in and out of. He's got all of his quote on quote. Finer wares and weapons displayed on the walls yet again another insult to my pride and his guard is just standing in front of the back door to the storage area if I had to wait jerk. The reason why people don't stop by is because he only sells weapons and also The two of them don't exactly look like the friendliest shopkeepers in the world, so of course no one's going to bother to stop by unless they're really itching for some knock-off weapons In my opinion, who would want to buy a 3000 gold bastard sword? Well I go on my ranch about how stupid the shop is an interesting girl with pigtails stopped by the store cuz we're going to button up shirt her jeans are very torn and her boots are rather muddied so she's been on it long hike to this town He's my guess she starts going on and on about how she's looking for a nice durable sword she can use " business" which means that she's trying to murder someone. Obviously the shopkeeper being the greedy son of the gun he is asks how much she's working with. She pulls out a few gold coins and some copper and bronze and silvers the shopkeeper then sized. Knowing that he's not going to get much out of this interaction points over in the general area where I'm at and then proceeds to pick his nose and flick it off into the corner. The girl ignores his rudeness and then proceeds to look around for something she starts. Looking out the spear on the wall and notices that it's 100 silvers sure, then looks over at the ax leaned up against the pillar dividing the two separate entrances to a store, but the tag on that says it's 50 gold. Why is something like that in a place where anyone could steal it? Man? This guy must be confident in his security or maybe this ax is heavier than it looks. She then starts to wander a bit more towards my way as she spots the one silver/7 coppers barrel. She starts sifting through the swords as the first one she pulls out has a blade that's pretty much gone. She pulls out another one which seems to have a bite taken out of it. Why is that there? Then she digs a bit deeper and finally she grabs me pulling me out. It's clear she's struggling to hold me up, which means I way more than most swords considering she had no trouble picking up any of the other swords. She then hoisted it in the air with more effort and points at me while talking to the cleric about if I'm for sale. The guy says yeah sure but don't expect to get far. The swords are really heavy. It's got a lot of damage to it and parts of it seem to be rather rusty which that part really surprised me. I didn't spot any rust and now I'm starting to wonder if I'm okay we're going through a midsword crisis knowing that I'm in worse condition that I thought I failed to notice that she had already paid for me and was dragging me down the street. What is with humans and abusing weapons? Seriously, we need someone to advocate for our fair treatment. Anyways, while I'm sort of lost on my own world, I just happen to hear her saying who she plans to kill in her own words. She said" I'm going to kill the hero and I'm going to avenge my father " those words really got me. Something is. If it was just murder, I'd probably just end up in one of those places where nights take weapons that criminals were using until they eventually distribute those weapons to the militia to enact in a war. Meaning that I'd probably be in there for a few years, then out again in time for a conflict and by that time another scavenger maybe the same scavenger would combine. I ended up in a shop again, but if she's planning on offing a hero, which if memory or knowledge serves correct is the big cheese at best. I'll just end up in an arms ward until war time, but at worse the hero kills her then destroys me seeing as I was a throw it to his life. An alternative scenario he kills her and then I get sold in nine up in a shop again. Since according to the shopkeeper I'm not exactly a weapon and great condition man. Those words really hurt. While dragging me to her inevitable crime, I started to resent her for putting me in between her weird situation. The more I resented her the more I wish she could hear my complaints which led to me cursing her and then and that moment I thought to myself. I really don't think I can but I have to stop her for my own sake and just as I thought those words she stops dead in her tracks just started looking around and then she said to herself and I imagining things I could have sworn I just heard someone say something but the people around her were all mining her. They're on business. No one was looking at her and no one was saying anything with an audible range of her but before starting to move again I thought to myself that maybe she was being paranoid. What was her attempting to kill the hero and all and imagine a lot of people would be opposed to that and after I finished that thought she stopped again and looked around even faster and this time she set out loud. Who said that and everyone stopped and looked at her? I was starting to think that maybe she was crazy. You'd have to be crazy to want it. Try and kill someone especially. Someone is powerful as that but she responded with. I'm not crazy. I can clearly hear you talking about me out loud with her shouting people started to whisper to themselves, concerned about her mental health and started to back away from her a little bit more slowly. Some even attempting to go and get guards since a crazy person with a weapon was standing in the middle of an open passway. While this was going on I started to put two and two together. Perhaps she can hear me but that's impossible. I've been trying to keep it before but no one has ever responded unless they were ignoring me that would be a jerk move. Considering the chances in the opportunity, I decided to humor the situation I said to her. Can you hear me for which she responded with obviously? Otherwise I wouldn't be talking to you. This got my hopes up a bit but I didn't want to but myself get carried away. So I followed up to be sure. Okay. If you really can hear me then we should really get out of the open if we're going to talk. She asked in a, but agitated voice and why is that people were staring even harder at her. She of course was unsure why people were staring in her but it's clear someone is talking to her but to everyone else she's going to be talking to herself and very dangerous because she's also holding a weapon. So I decided the best movie would be to get her moving and tell her what's up. I said the reason why is because you're currently talking to a sword and right now people think you're crazy because no one but you can apparently hear me right now even responded with what sword. I don't see any swords talking so I told her to look down and she looked down. I the core inside the sword which resembled an eye and was acting as my only form of visual aid to the outside world looked back up better. She then began to freak out and ran at top speed dragging the sword with her. I of course was wondering why would she carry the thing that's frightened her with her after running for a couple hours the two of us had reached rather interesting shop. There appeared to be a researcher of sorts on the opposite end of the counter and the walls we're decorated with monster parts and funny looking items. She started frantically talking to the shopkeeper. I really didn't care what she had to say, but while I was zoning out I noticed something interesting. While focusing on one of the objects at the wall started to wonder what it is cuz something about it felt off and that's when peculiar box appeared before me. Not a rectangular boxer flat rectangle that hovered in air well to say it covered in air would be untrue. It was more like an optical illusion that I could see that had words on it I could understand. According to the words, the object i was staring at which was neatly placed inside of a jar was into ogre's heart. Apparently it's a cursed object that when consumed by cursed or uncursed beings, it caused them to drop in levels. Specifically it would drop the consumer by -15 levels. According to the price tag it was 700 gold. That's expensive. Probably among all the knowledge that I've got, none of it really provides me with an idea of how economics work or at least the ideal value of things, especially money. So I'm just guessing. But it feels like 700 gold is a lot. Maybe it's not grabs the greedy shopkeeper. It's actually just a poor man trying to make ends meet with the cheek based items. Money has to buy nah no matter how I look at it. That man was clearly looking to get his hand on as much money as possible, but still quite an interesting item. The more I looked around the more I started to notice that there were a bunch of curse items in the shop. The hand of a lizard man. Apparently the jar it's in seals it from regenerating completely but if attached to a being that's lost it slim the lizard man part with assimilate to the body inevitably cursing them to become lizard man themselves. That sounds rather dangerous. There is also a club that was unbreakable that would cost a million gold. Judging from everything that I'm saying in the shop, I guess this guy is specialist in cursed items which means she brought me here because she thinks I'm a cursed item and is hoping to get the curse on done. Now that I think about it, I might have cursed her. I try to get a good look at her and see like the objects a box did appear. Didn't have the same information as you objects in the store but there were more details. Age unknown name a known level. Zero status cursed yep, there it is. I focused a bit on the cursed one and another box up here. This one overlapping the first in this box. The words reads curse of connection and below that one was curse of exertion the curse of connection. One had a little detail that just skated allows the curse to experience communication with other cursed beings that wills to communicate. Thinking back that does make sense so it's more than possible I cursed her. This can't be good. I decide to rejoin the conversation she was having with the shopkeeper halfway through it this point. Apparently she was saying I think I purchased a cursed object. Please examine it before it kills me. I want to get the curse removed. But shopkeeper told her that he'd be happy to look at the sword for her, but in most cases the only way is to remove a curse is to destroy the object curse in you. Typically speaking, depending on how Father Chris's developed destroying. It should free you so long as your curse has not dropped too far beyond the level you were at when you got cursed you should be fine those words do not bode well for me. I tried raising me with the girl I spoke to her. Hey, now let's calm down about the destruction thing here. If I recall correctly, you wanted to kill the hero, correct? Wow! I so happen to be a very powerful sword with my help that hero would be deader than dead. She looks at me skeptical then looks at the shopkeeper and tells her it's talking to me and it's trying to seduce me with things I want. Well that didn't work. She places me on the counter in the shopkeeper looks me over. He then pulls out a hardcovered book from under his desk. It starts flipping through the pages over and over again front to back. Repeatedly looking force information as can assume about me well the structure or not. This would be a good opportunity to learn about myself. Maybe I might be able to find the craftsman who created me. The man stopped hurting the pages and looks at her. This is not a sword. He says she looks at him like he's some sort of con artist and states. What do you mean the man gestures at me while explaining about the book? He just looked through. As it stands, this book is a catalog of all sorts created. Craftsman are required to write down every sword they produce in detail and if the sword is ever curse, a new updated book is sent out reporting on the changing status of swords and the thing is the demon country also complies with this rule as well. Meaning that if a craftsman did produce a demonic weapon that was strictly demonic it would have also been reported in this catalog. So the fact that I can't find the sword anywhere in it means it's not a demonic weapon. Or at least it's not a legal demonic weapon. And if that was a case, the shopkeeper who sold you this weapon would have turned it in if he's as a legitimate as he looked and no one in the sword is allowed to sell weapons that are illegally produced. Thinking back, I did recall while the The shopkeeper was taking me apart. He identified a serial number on specifically the part wedge in my core here then confirmed the serial number for that item in a book and then just tossed me into the barrel. So I guess that means I am in the catalog. I do recall that serial number he pointed to I tell her try looking again. Serial number s 11 07. She hesitantly does so but tells the man to look for the serial number at provided he opens up the book and turns the pages a few moments later. He does get a sword that's looks similar to me. But the thing is that sword doesn't have a hollowed out jewel section like I do. He explains that well. It is possible that there is a modification upon closer inspection. He starts to stare very uncomfortably close to my core. He then pulls out another book with the words beastiary on it. He flips the book a few times and then points true. An object that looks exactly like my core and I shaped jewel. Of course this book also had different variants of it. Some round like me. Some shape like diamonds one shaped like a cube. He then points to a went to the text and reads out loud. Mimic points the sword and say that sword. Your carriering is a mimic. She looked at me and then looked at the shopkeeper and just said huh. He didn't started explaining mimics are creatures that start off as a core an empty jewel if you will when amendment takes up a nest with treasures and things that it keeps nearby to lower in unsuspecting victims, it starts to develop excess energy at one point. Any jewels within it stash because become an immediate vassal to hold the excess energy over time that energy trapped within the jewel is infected with its cursed energy developing a baby mimic at that point, when the mimic becomes self-aware enough, it will take up a piece of treasure within the parent. Mimics hoard over time, the mimic will feed off the life force of its newfound while disguised as treasure when it's strong enough, it will began killing humans while working towards building its own nest to complete the cycle. Of course, typically speaking only mimics that take the form of treasure chest do nest mimic said take the form of weapons typically are more keen to traveling changing hands of victims it will kill its host in ways that make it look like they died in battle. Then when a new host claims it as its weapon it will continue to drain the user until they're weak enough to kill that one and will continue to pose as an unsuspecting weapon until then. But given how we are, it should have killed you the moment you were alone with it. Frankly speaking, it should have killed the person who brought it to the shop unless it's self-aware and in most cases, even the most self-aware of mimics don't have the restraint enough not to kill a victim when it's weaken after to do so. It's always capable of finding a new victim when given enough time she looks down at me a bit more anxious about the whole thing. Everyone was also shocked. I mean the picture does match my core and the fact that I'm in a weapon that's registered in the thing that looks different than myself. It would only make sense for me to be a mimic but when I was in the field there was no corpse inside. So if I had killed my former wielder, there should have been at least some sign that they died in battle at least or some blood on my blade. I was perfectly clean so something is not adding up the shot keeper then pulls my core out of the hilt and points to the cracked spot on my core. Oh never mind he says healing elaborates look here. See that crack. Seeing as the crack is on me and I can't move my eye anywhere near the part of me, that's damaged, nor can I see the crack directly considering that spot is pure black. You continuous explanation this mimics man lobotomized she looks animal with a confused expression. He goes on another explanation. Rant Yes man knows way too much you probably haven't heard of this, but it's a very popular thing. Weapon mimics are very powerful, but the thing is they have a bad habit of killing their users as I already explained, but some hunters and the likes have identified that there's a sweet spot on a mimics core. If you damage it let me make becomes unattached to itself and in doing so you essentially lobotomize it since it can't associate its so then it's need to kill humans or the like. It basically just becomes a sentient object without the danger and since they are fine as long as they're thirst for blood is fed, they don't really die and just sort of live a life as a weapon with little experience. So in this case is perfectly fine to use this guy. He's incapable of feeling hostility towards you. He then puts my core back where it belongs and then suggest that if she doesn't feel comfortable having me, he'd be happy to buy me off of her. A lot of people would pay top dollar for something as powerful as this, but the girl then started to show signs of reconsidering my earlier offer and decides to leave. I insist on stopping her and beg her to buy a scabbard from him. I am getting real tired of people dragging me. She didn't stops in the heat of the moment. Turns back to the man and asks for a cheap scabbard The man offers her an old one for one copper after leaving the two of us sat at the edge of town near the forest so that we could have some alone time to talk

Spotting the knife that was stuck to the apple on the table, he reached for it to pull it out. In one swift movement as if he were chopping onions, he chopped the four fingers of the man off his hand making him yelp and cry in pain. "No one touches what is mine. I am sure this will remind you the next time you even think about touching her," sighed Damien as if he were tired of telling people to keep their dirty hands off his belongings. The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system

[Sweet, satisfying, pampering, lots of face slapping.] Zhang Caishen's era had come to an end and he could never rise again, or so they said. But why did he seem to be getting richer and more powerful even if he was now crippled and abandoned by his betrothed? Why was he suddenly so unnaturally lucky? The answer was simple; his new wife!! Lin Alix was not lucky when it came to her family. She was the older, less loved and less talented one in comparison to her younger sister who stole everything from her. But fate intervened and she got lucky when it came to a husband, not only was he wealthy but he loved to spoil her. Suggested by her infinite luck gaming system, Alix married her sister's unwanted crippled husband to be and stepped on the path of a winner in life. She swept up music awards, gained international recognition and got her revenge on her cruel family while becoming Beijing's most envious wife. "Are you crazy, you willingly married a crippled man?" her friends asked. "Yes, but have you seen how much he pampers me?" she asked in turn. "She will cheat on him, he is a cripple and he can't perform his husbandly duties." others gossiped. Alix looked at the so called crippled man who climbed into her bed night after night and laughed. Sorry, he was more than capable. "Honey, I am here to perform my husbandly duties." he would always say coquettishly when he flipped her over.
