The author uses flashbacks and foreshadowing properly, and even took the stepsister plot and made it actually enjoyable and not cliche, and feels like time flies when reading this. I reccomend even watching the anime.

This is PEAK! all aspects like character development, world building, writing quality etc. are executed perfectly. Anime ends at the volume 4 but I would recommend you to start from the beginning.

The novel is brilliant; its character development is slow and realistic, allowing you to clearly identify the feelings they're going through. Sometimes you despair because the character doesn't act better, just to show you that they're in the process of growth, clearly highlighting what made them grow and improve their decisions.

This is the first YA romance I've met where the obvious high intelligence of the main characters is a major factor. They're not nerdy so much as they're dedicated. Their emotional involvement and development has stuttered at times, but they're turning out beautifully. They've managed to impress professors at college even before they've been admitted. They're concerned with family and doing the right things by them. They're just so stinkin' admirable, and I love it.
