Memory

"Honey, Do you remember when we first met?"

A gentle yet raspy voice spoke, the small breeze of the evening wind making small whispers, along with the small creaks of rocking chairs moving back and forth.

"Of course I do, when we were still young."

A deep but sweet voice replied, the old man reaching out his hand to hold the old woman's hand. Rubbing his thumb on the back of her hand gently.

"Forever will I be grateful for your lack of shyness."

He chuckled gently. The wrinkles on his face moved up as he smiled, gentle brown eyes looking towards the woman in front of him, the same wrinkles yet matched with round black eyes. She began to let out a small laugh reminiscing of the past.

"I would never regret it, no matter how embarrassing it was."

The night breeze was calming and sitting under the shining stars let the two old couples remember those sweet old days. The old woman continued to hold her husband's hand, humming before letting out what she was thinking of.

"Let's see.. it started when…"

.

.

.

"Ugh.."

Sitting in the dark, the computer screen was the only light illuminating the small bedroom. Gentle typing sounds echoed before a hand slamming on the keyboard.

"Why is it so hard to create a likable male character!?"

Letting out another groan, the woman leaned back on her office chair, rubbing the bridge of her nose under her round glasses. The screen displays a chat forum, under the title of "Loveless girl, the male lead of the story."

.

.

Chatter 1 - "I think the character sounds handsome, but his personality is.. so bland?"

Chatter 2 - "I agree! The girl is so cool but also sweet, but even when the writer tried to make a cool character, he was just so.. boring… ;;"

Chatter 3 - "author-nim, just act like the male character is a woman! You create female characters well!"

Chatter 1 & 2 - "yeah author-nim! Our Ultimate author!"

.

.

"I'm trying…"

The girl let out a small whine before sitting back up properly, opening a new page on her writing app. Taking a quick deep breath, she started to brainstorm a new story that would take over her past works, and this time with a male lead that was interesting but not like the typical male lead! She was determined and started writing down the characters and their characteristics.

A simple girl, who at night would be the coolest woman. Her female leads always had to be the cool one. As for the guy…

"Hmm.. maybe this time a guy that's more.. submissive in a way? Acts tough, but cute.."

She was still struggling to figure out how exactly his personality was going to be, so instead she wrote down the visual aspect of the boy.

"Mysterious looking, uhh.. undercut but with somewhat long bangs.."

'Pretty sure that was the current style for guys anyways.'

Focusing on her glowing screen, typing carefully onto the keyboard.

"Tall, and kinda toned.."

She was so focused she didn't hear the beeping of her lock, then the door opening and closing. The moment she snapped out of her focus was when she heard footsteps running in and suddenly..

SLAM.

The door burst open with a beautiful girl opening it in anger. Long black hair and a fierce makeup look. She wore a black skirt with a red corset tank top, and black high heels to match it all.

Standing there with her hand on her hip she let out a sigh.

"Bong-Cha! Did you even sleep last night?!"

She shouted before walking over to the window, opening the blinds in a quick manner, the author now letting out a whine and melted to the floor.

"Please Ari.. too bright.."

Now with the light, the girl named Bong-cha was more visible, short black hair that needed a quick brush, round glasses that gave her a cute look along with her freckles.

She stood up with a sigh, pushing up her glasses to rest on her head and gave her eyes a rub. Bong-cha was dressed in all sweats that hid her body, she was a bit on the chubbier side, not fat but also not skinny.

"We have class, you know? And you have work too! Hurry and get ready!"

The long haired woman said before walking out the room and into the kitchen, on the other hand, the other girl began to get ready.

Bong-Cha Gae, a student in *** national university, taking Bachelor of Arts and is currently in her second year. She's also an author under the name of "Ultimate Author," a English mix of her Korean name, Ultimate girl. A short and thick-thighed girl. Gorgeous short hair and-

"Bong-Cha!! I'm leaving first! Hurry to class!"

Her "mini" monologue was cut even shorter by her best friend Ari, she should probably hurry along as well.

The day was bright and mildly cloudy. Too bright for our main character but she had no choice, especially her first day of university. In her tiny neighborhood, a bit on the lower middle class, it was still very rowdy. The aunties huddling at the side of the road to chatter, the old grandpas and grandmas taking their morning walk, and the students running off to hurry to class, it was peaceful, until she missed her bus.

"Ah! WAIT!!"

Running as fast as she could, the bus didn't stop at all, and she stood there, huffing furiously even if it was only a little run, regretting the fact she should have gone at the same time as the other girl.

"Motherfu.."

Huffing and puffing, Bong-cha finally reached the front gates, another person alongside her who seemed to be late as well, carrying a guitar bag behind him. But there's no time to ogle this boy, she walked through the gates, a guard on the side, on duty.

"goodness you two, you're in university now you need to be better in time management."

The older man spoke as the girl simply nodded with a shy smile, hearing beside her a whisper,

"hah, annoying."

She looked over to her side, to the boy with the guitar, and seemingly noticing her looking towards him he just smiled and replied to the guard.

"Yes we will, thank you."

He then hurried off first, with a smile that was so fake yet it was hard to notice on first glance, if the girl didn't hear his whisper, she might not have even thought anything of it. Who cares, she's late already, she should hurry!

Arriving in the class, she quietly sneaked in from the top doors and sat near the back, not wanting to disturb the class. It was an auditorium style classroom, and thank god there were no students being loud or disturbing. The class went well, but she did almost fall asleep just from the monotone voice of the teacher. Before she knew it, her classes had ended and it was now lunch.

Ding!

A small buzz from her phone shook her leg a bit, pulling out her phone from her pocket, she realized it was a text from Ari.

From: Ari <3

message: Hey! Lets go to the cafe near the Uni? I'm sooo hungry right now! I'll meet you at the gates!

Replying back with a simple okay, she stood up and got her stuff into her bag. Everyone was already socializing and making friends on the first day, but this author wasn't keen on making friends, she's content with having her best friend by her side. It may seem sad, but she doesn't have enough energy to try and keep friendships to last. Keeping contact takes too much effort.

Hurrying off to the front of the school, she can already see the flocks of men huddling around her best friend. Well, it's not shocking after all. Ari Kim was a gorgeous beauty, she had a fierce look, and a fierce personality as well. Many girls are jealous of her and call her a slut, but they're idiots who don't even try to befriend her first. She couldn't care less about what the men or women thought of her, she felt pretty dressed like that and that's all that mattered. Plus, taking engineering, there's no time to play around.

"Ari!"

She's a strong and beautiful girl, Bong-cha was glad to be friends with someone like her. Walking closer to her, the boys paid no mind to her at all, all eyes were on Ari, but for Ari, her best friend was all she cared about.

"Bong-Cha!"

Pushing everyone else away, she took her best friend's hand and walked away towards the entertainment street. It had all the cafes and karaoke, the fun street for the uni students basically. Looking back, the short haired girl can see the men feeling dejected, but she had no sympathy for them, none of them looked good enough for Ari!

"Oh right! Every year there seems to always be a group of pretty people in the first year, they get so famous! I heard one of them is in engineering and I did see him, he was pretty good looking, but he didn't talk to anyone!"

There was another thing Ari liked more than herself or Bong-Cha, it was gossip. Whatever it was, she was social enough to get the info from anyone, just the good tea for her ears. Even though the writer didn't care much for rumors or gossip, she still listened, not like it's bad to know what's going on in the school and Ari enjoys talking about it.

The pretty girl continued to talk about these 3 people, and how they have everyone's attention just from day 1, even the famous kids from other grades got overshadowed by those 3. Walking into the store, the best friends took a stop on the gossip to order some food and drinks, then Ari was back to it.

"Everyone is calling them the flowers, I still haven't seen the other two, but they sound very attractive."

Bong-Cha simply nodded, occasionally replying with K-drama references.

"So like the boys over flowers?"

"That's right! that's right!"

Just from that, the two started giggling. They looked like the complete opposite, but they cared for each other so much.

"I think the names were Eun-Jeong Seong, Sung-Ho Lee, and Ji-Hoon Park! Their names sound cool too."

Said Ari.

Bong-Cha as she took a bite of her strawberry shortcake. The two finally arrived, so they took a short break from talking and just ate for a while.

"oh right! you've got work right?"

"un, In an hour or so."

"ahh okay okay... let me tell you about this girl.."

Bong-Cha nodded with a small laugh as they continued to chat, before finally she had to go home and change for work. Her work was in a convenient store just two streets over from her apartment. It was a nice quiet area that wasn't too busy, so she didn't hate working there.

Running off to work, she didn't realize how life changing this first day would be.

Some insight just in case most don't understand!

Un = yes

Side note:

If you've read my other novel, I sadly cancelled that because I lost the information I had saved for it. Hopefully that doesn't happen to this as well and this novel turn out well!
