Omniscient POV

'I don't know how I got on the roof. I was getting beat up by Dudley and his oafs when I just appeared elsewhere like magic.' Harry thought to himself as he crossed the street.

'Like magic...Wait magic can't be real right?' Harry reached the door to the Dursley residence slowly pushing it open and there was Vernon waiting for him belt in hand, and skin nearing a purple shade.

"Get inside and close the door boy!" Vernon whisper shouted. Harry complied arms shaking he could barely hold the doorknob right. His body shivering in fear and every little movement Vernon made triggering phantom pain from the previous incidents.

His body wanting him to just duck and cover while he knew that it only made the beatings worse.

Vernon grabbed him roughly by the elbow, throwing him to the ground in front of the cupboard. Harry felt his right knee flare up in pain and a second later Vernon was hitting him with the belt buckle. "AAAHHH!" His back lancing up in newfound pain and shirt ripping open from the force.

"I'll beat the freakishness out of you if it's the last THING I'LL DO!!" Vernon yelled continuously whipping the boy like a man possessed. Skin tearing apart and Harry silently takes it all, his magic numbing the pain.

"You're the reason I couldn't get that rich client!... You're the reason I got demoted!... Your freakishness is bad luck!... Why can't you just die!?!"

After the 27th lash, Vernon bodily picks him up and throws him in the cupboard finally finished venting his frustrations.

Harry POV

My back felt cold but that cold was slowly but surely fading as a simple ache took its place though I felt nothing in my limbs. By the morning it turned into agony as the blood stuck to the sheets and every movement felt like I was tearing off my skin.

I tried moving my legs but I felt nothing even when I touched them. This has happened before and I recovered fully within the week. I lay there for the rest of the day covered in tears, blood, and piss as I wait for my punishment to end.

Another day has passed and I still can't feel anything in my legs, my throat is parched, the sheet is partially off my wounds, and my stomach has begun to protest the lack of food and water.

This is the fourth day since Uncle Vernon beat me they finally slipped some food and water into the room, but everything just feels so cold my hands can't pick me up anymore, and I still can't feel my legs.

I went to reach over and grab the food but when I blinked for just a second there were already spiders and ants feasting on it with cold tiny pieces remaining of the bread crust and egg.

I feel so cold. My body just wants me to close my eyes but I stay awake even though I just want to rest. There's nobody I care for and nobody that cares for me. It wouldn't be so bad to just sleep...

I watched a baby being coddled by his mother and playing games with his dad. Their death and waking up in a small room in the Dursleys. Always having less food and attention. Always needing to cry longer and harder to get sufficient nourishment.

Being forced to work on the gardens as soon as I could walk and talk. Then forced to cook food for them. Not having any shoes to wear until I was in school. Yearning for their approval even having fantasies of making them proud while studying hard for his tests. Handing them his test results only to be beaten up and spat on for it, with this being the first time I couldn't feel or move his legs.

Constant depression from the clear difference in treatment he received with regular beatings from Vernon and Dudley. Trying to imitate Captain America his hero from history class with his 'never give up' attitude. Along with the last few days of his existence and death.

'What the fuck is wrong with these people? Wait a minute I have to live with them now! Actually this is fine I have magic and a system it shouldn't be too hard to avoid them if nothing else.'

Magic is controlled by one pillar made up of three things Intent, Willpower, and Imagination. With only willpower, the magic will build up but has nowhere to go and nothing to do. With Intent but no willpower magic leaves the body but uses far more power. With only imagination but no intent or will nothing happens, but the use of all three allows for more efficiency.

Magic is a supernatural force that changes aspects of the world at fundamental levels. The ability for humans to use magic is a hereditary trait passed down from a person's ancestors, which allows witches and wizards to practice it. Rather than being a mystical or unnatural pursuit that defies the laws of nature, however, magic simply allows those who could wield it to exploit them in very specific and creative ways that Muggle science is unable to replicate.

One example of this, for example, is in how Vanishment does not actually make objects cease to exist, but rather go "into non-being, which is to say, everything", which is consistent with the law of conservation of matter and energy. Magic also followed its own set of rules with respect to what it could do, such as how Conjured objects could only exist for a temporary period of time, and objects couldn't be enlarged beyond a certain point without becoming unstable and/or exploding.
