CHAPTER FOUR

A night with the king 2~

     Walking into the queen's chamber,king Arthur found his wife, queen Elizabeth laying down on the bed as the physician attended to her.

   "Luckily for you,the lightening didn't cause any damage on you my queen, possibly because there was already a weak protection spell on you, someone cast a spell of protection on you" the physician explained.

     "Yes,my mother,she cast a protection spell on me before leaving home,I didn't think the spell was still standing because it's been a week now" Elizabeth replied to the physician.

    "Then it must have being a strong spell. You fell due to the shock from the lightening,your brain assumed that you were struck and so your body responded" the physician brought out a small vase from his bag and handed it to Elizabeth.

    "This is a fragrance,pour a little amount of it everyday,it will help protect you from lightening attacks"the physician smiled "see it as my little present to the queen." He handed her maid the vase who was beside him. The physician stood up and bowed before leaving.

    "Leave us"king Arthur command. Everyone in the room including Elizabeth personal maid,Kira,as well as Cristal left the king and the queen to be alone.

    The sun had gone down and the day was turning night, Queen Elizabeth was still on her veil, lying still on the bed staring at the king as he slowly approached her.

   Elizabeth felt the hair around her tensed. The king already blew off all the candles and and lamps. It was a little dark but they could see each other as well as felt each other breathing.

    "So nothing happened to you" the deep muscular voice of the king fill Elizabeth ears and she felt her heart beats hard and her voice almost escaped her lips.

   The king smiled,he had this effect on women,and he was well aware of it. "Remove you veil let me see your face" king Arthur spoke but it was more of a command.

     Obediently, Elizabeth carefully removed her veil and the king took it and tossed it to the floor."Elizabeth, daughter of lord wilfred,today I shall be with you as an husband be with his wife"

    King Arthur sat down on the bed and lean closer to Elizabeth, brushing her hair behind her ears. Elizabeth felt the cold shivering touch of the king,she imagined it warm but she guessed the king wasn't called the god of storm for nothing.

   Looking into each other eyes,so deep and intensed Elizabeth was almost panting,was she scared or just scared of what is to come, either way she was.

   "Don't be scared"he said reassuring her that he wasn't going to hurt her,but the words flew pass the window immediately the king buried his lips on Elizabeth lips.

   "My king..."Elizabeth moan the words out but the king didn't seem to relent nor did the king respond. Their lips intertwined in such a way that Elizabeth felt pain.

    Knowing this won't end, Elizabeth shut her eyes tight, determined to bear the pain till the end. If this was what it cost to be the king's wive,she might as well go through it,tough.

    Hours later. Elizabeth opened her eyes,the sun flashed directly at her. It was daylight.

   Elizabeth found herself naked on the bed. Immediately she remembered what had happened the previous night,only that the king was no where to be found. Was that how it works? The king would come at night and disappear at day. Elizabeth didn't want to think further about it as she was feeling sore all over. She felt like crying.

   Someone knocked at the door,"my queen, it is I,your maid,am here for your morning bath" the voice of Kira sounded from behind the door.

   "Come in" Elizabeth replied with a low voice.

   Kira walked in as well as with three other maid which were Elizabeth maid as well. One was holding some linen  and the other was holding a bowl filled with oil used to oil the queen.

    The three maid turned their back toward the queen as she stood up to get her rode before going into the wash room. On getting to the room Elizabeth sat inside the small pool."You may come in now"

    Kira entered the room and shut the door behind her. "How is the water temperature my lady?" Kira asked. "Good" was the short respond of Elizabeth.

    Kira took a sponge and soap and walked into the pool,the pool wasn't that deep as it just leveled up above her waist. Steam-like particulars wear coming out of the pool and so it was almost like dew.

   Immediately,Kira began silently washing Elizabeth body extremely tenderly, starting from her feet up to her shoulders,after which Kira poured shampoo on Elizabeth hair and the smell of lavender filled Elizabeth nostrils,the smell of home. Elizabeth spent extra five minutes inhaling the fragrant of the shampoo before allowing Kira to wash it off her.

    After a through warm bathe, Elizabeth entered her room with her rode on along with Kira by her side.

    The bed cover was already changed and the room tired up. The maid came and assisted Elizabeth in removing her rode and it revealed a white cottoned gown she was wearing which was above knee level.

   Kira brought out a blue gown decorated with white linen and few tiny buttons at some edges." This would look wonderful on you my queen" she said, smiling brightly.

  The other Maids nodded in approval. Elizabeth stared at the gown for a while before giving a faint smiling "It looks lovely"
