Chapter 11: Forcefully retired

This is a rewrite for the Pokemon Ancients web novel I've done. This novel will contain pokephilia (sexual relationships with Pokemon) but the other novel called Pokemon: Ancients v2 will not contain pokephilia. The novels will mostly be the same except the relationships.

Ancient legends gave birth to tales and stories. Traversing through the histories of Life and death. Mysteries, marvels, fables, myths. Each one forgotten just as it's place of tales told.

Until its reawakened, legends become true. History rewritten and the past becomes the present. But should it have stayed forgotten?

Almia region, Pokemon Ranger HQ

"Come on Natsu wake up," says a voice beside me as I'm shoved and fall off the cot. Waking up I glare up at a beautiful woman wearing an aerial ranger uniform. She sighs and says," look I know it's your day off before you chew me out, but chairwoman Erma is waiting for you on the roof. She said it was urgent."

She starts walking off as she exits the room I mumble," oh go suck a dick summer. Arceus knows how many you blew this morning already." Standing up I stretch and go get ready in the communal bathing room, reflecting on my life.

My name is Natsu obsidian, and I'm a transmigrated soul from another world. One where the marvelous creatures known as Pokemon didn't exist in real life only as fiction. I was reborn here to a young trainer who believed I would have been a burden on her, so I was left out on an old couples' doorstep. I was almost stepped on by as the old lady went to go milk the milktank. Soon I'm adopted into the obsidian family as the only child of Slate and Grace obsidian. My early life was learning all about the world around me and the farming life.

The world is vast bigger than shown in the anime or games. Each region has 18 gyms (one for each type), showcases, contests, races, and any other type of challenge. The regions take months to travel on foot, ride pokemon or bike.

The age for trainers to start their journey is fifteen. It used to be ten but due to arrogant trainers and their subsequent death at either wild Pokémon or villainous teams, so the Pokemon League alliance and rangers' union boosted the age up to fifteen about twenty years before my birth. When a trainer turns fifteen, they're a legal adult meaning, taxes, marriage, sex, drinking are all on the table. Harems are completely normal since the birth rate of women to men is 12:1 ratio. You would think I'd be swarming with girls but, the same troupes that girls follow in my past life still holding true. Money, looks, bad boys, toxicity in the relationships held true and it was worse due to the number of girls. Pokemon battles between girls have occurred more often over a guy's attention while the guy would be elsewhere sampling the variety of other girls available. And that was in the preparatory school that all trainers must take for at least a year.

I've had around three relationships during my trainer and preparatory days. My first relationship was a toxic relationship that had me basically being cucked as the girl would cheat on any other man.

My second relationship wasn't even a relationship, it was me falling for a girl that asked me out but I found out it was a bet made by friends.

My last relationship almost killed me literally. We dated for a year and traveled together completing challenges and living our dreams, but it was a long game. My blind love left me bleeding out in the wilderness as my own team left with her willingly after beating me into the ground. The scars have never really healed both physically and mentally.

After that I left the league at 17 and joined the ranger's school. Completing the school, I was scheduled in Vienna town and was shoved into the thick of things when the shadows of almia plot played out. After saving almia I was assigned to oblivia region for the guardian sign plot. During this time my only two pokemon have been pachirisu and ukulele Pichu.

Finishing my inner reflection and getting dressed I walk up to the roof of rangers' union HQ. As I reach the roof, I see Professor Hastings, Erma, and Murph standing there. As I approach, I see them giving sorrowful looks as Erma sighs.

" Natsu obsidian, with a heavy heart the board of the ranger union has asked us to forcefully retire you from the ranger forces," says Erma as she shakes her head," I wouldn't throw away your talent but it's not my decision since Professor Hastings and me were out voted on this ordeal."

" I understand," I say sourly at the deal. I return the ranger stylus and leave the ranger union HQ. Within the hour I'm already on a float plane back home. My only two companions are pachirisu and ukulele Pichu as they're curled up in my lap as the plane flies to the Paldea region. Sighing I pull out a letter I received the other day from my family's lawyer and marked with the Pokemon League alliance stamp.

Dear Mr. Natsu Obsidian,

We regret to inform you that your only living relatives, Slate obsidian and Grace obsidian, have passed. The inheritance was supposed to be the family farm but due to outstanding debts all property has been seized for liquidation of assets to pay back the collectors.

Thankfully you still have an inheritance through a mysterious donor. He's requested you to gain a large island chain. The smallest island is roughly 160 square miles while the largest is twice the size of Paldea (approximately 5,000 sq miles). An 8,000 sqft. two story house is included in a property on the smallest island. It has a large kitchen/ living area, five guest bedrooms, one master bedroom, one guest bathroom, one master bathroom, a 1,300 sqft basement. The property is a five-acre small farm that's fenced in by 15ft high, 5ft thick log fence.

The Pokemon League has granted this request but has assigned three guests to live with you on the islands as a requirement.

Luna Aspen, a young pokemon professor that has taken to studying the island phenomenon called surges as well as to catalogue the islands pokemon.

Jeanne Joy a young but smart member of the joy clan will be the on-call Doctor for both Pokemon and humans.

Rasha Jenny is a member of the Jenny clan and is there to make sure the law is upheld and protection for the property.

I wish you good health

Sincerely Justin fairlaw

The Synthesis Wizard

In a world where elements lay barren and powerful wizards had abandoned their homeland a millennium ago to explore the multiverse, Sunan found himself reincarnated as a noble scion stripped of his title. This world, once brimming with magic and wonder, had fallen into a desolate state, and wizards had become mere legends. Sunan was acutely aware that after a thousand years, the elements would awaken once more, heralding the return of the wizards and ushering in a new era of prosperity. He understood that his path was clear: he must train diligently to become a wizard himself and survive until this glorious age arrived. “Resources are scarce?” he mused, determination flickering in his eyes. “Then I’ll just have to synthesize them myself.” With that thought, he activated the Synthesis Cube, a device that granted him the ability to combine materials into something new. This Cube was not just a tool; it was a symbol of his potential in this world, reflecting his status as a player in a game he once played. As he set to work, the Cube glowed with possibilities, presenting him with a myriad of options. He had a few basic materials at his disposal, remnants of his previous life and the knowledge he had accumulated from his past experiences in the game. Sunan began experimenting, combining herbs and minerals he had gathered. Each successful synthesis filled him with a sense of accomplishment, inching him closer to his goal of becoming a wizard. Days turned into weeks, and Sunan’s skills improved rapidly. He crafted potions, improved his understanding of magical theories, and honed his mental abilities through intense meditation practices. The Star Ring Meditation, one of the first techniques he mastered, allowed him to tap into the latent mental energy within himself, enhancing his cognitive functions and magical sensitivity. As he progressed, whispers of his endeavors began to circulate among the remaining noble families and the common folk. Some viewed him with suspicion, while others saw potential in the young man who dared to challenge the status quo. Sunan knew he needed allies. He began seeking out individuals who shared his vision—a return to the age of wizards. He discreetly approached the remnants of the nobility, the few who still held some influence, and began to forge connections. His reputation grew cautiously, and with it, the opportunities to gather resources and knowledge. He learned of hidden libraries, ancient texts, and artifacts that could aid in his quest. One fateful day, while exploring a forgotten ruin, he uncovered an ancient tome detailing the rituals of the wizards who had once thrived on this land. The pages contained knowledge that could accelerate his growth, including spells long lost to time. “This is it,” Sunan thought as he carefully transcribed the contents into his own notes. “With this, I can not only learn the spells but also improve my synthesis techniques.” As he delved deeper into the arcane arts, he realized that the key to his ascension lay not just in personal power but in understanding the intricate web of alliances and rivalries that defined noble society. He had to navigate these treacherous waters carefully. In the back of his mind, Sunan always remembered the impending return of the wizards. The time was coming when he would have to reveal his true potential and lead the charge into the new era. With each passing day, he grew stronger, more confident, and increasingly aware of the responsibilities that awaited him. The world was changing, and Sunan was determined to be at the forefront of that change—a wizard in a world that had forgotten what it meant to wield true power.
