Four boys want to become hunters for different reasons: Gon to find his father, Kuro to avenge his clan, Leorio to make money and Kurapika to recover the eyes of his clan. They meet on a ship and become friends. They face together the tests of the exam and the adventures of the world of hunters. The story adds a character, Kuro, who looks like Sasuke from Naruto.
