Janiyah's pov

Tuesday, April 16

It was spring break and school was out.

I was was sitting on my bed when I heard the house phone ring. I got up and looked at it it read

"Janice Pendleton'' that's my best friends grandmother. I picked up the phone and answered "hello?" "Hey janiyah may I talk to your mom please?" of course I told her yes and gave her the phone

**After 10 Minuets**

mom: Janiyah go take your shower Ms.Pendleton said she's gonna pick you up in 30 minuets"

"Okay!" I told her

After I finished taking my shower and brushing my teeth, I went to my room and put my clothes on.

I was sitting on my bed waiting for Ms.Pendleton to pick me up when I suddenly heard a honk. I look outside to see her car out there waiting for me. I put my jacket on and raced out the door to her car.

**At Ms.Pendletons house**

Ms.Pendleton opened the door and we went in. I looked around looking or my best-friend Vaughn. When I turned around to go into the living room I saw her playing with her 2 year old brother.

"Hey Vaughn"

Vaughn:"Oh! Janiyah!! Hey!"

We then both hugged and let go

Vaughn:" How ya been?"

Me:" Been good i guess. what about you?"

Vaughn:" Good too just you know same old stuff"

Me:" Yeah i understand"

** Two hours later at 12: 00**

Me and Vaughn were just chilling in her room when her grandmother had asked if we wanted to go to the park. Of course we had said yes.

**at the park**

Me and a vaughn were getting bored so she had said "I'm going to ask my grandma if we can go see Martavis and Michael"

Me:"Who is that?"

Vaughn:" so technically they are my friends since i was like three Because, when we were little I would go to my nana's house and we would all eat breakfast together and go play"

me:"Oh okay well go ask her if we can"

Vaughn:"Ok"

she went over there to ask and came back

Me:" So what did she say?"

Vaughn:"She said yes and that we should invite them here"

Me:" Oh okay well let's go then"

The walk was only up the street and around the corner so it wasn't far. While walking Vaughn was explaining me most people her knew her by the nickname "bright eyes" and stuff.

Vaughn was walking when we had got to the house. We went up to the house and knocked on the door.

A young black boy had showed up to the door and waked back into the house. Me and Vaughn stepped in.

When we walked in we saw an older lady that was sitting on a chair with a cast on.

Vaughn:" Hey Ms.Kimble"

Ms.Kimble:"Hey bright eyes. how you doing?"

Vaughn:" I'm doing good. I'm just here with my friend Janiyah"

I look at the older lady and wave. she smiled back

Ms.Kimble:"Ok well Martavis and Michael are in there rooms.

vaughn:"Okay see ya"

Ms.Kimble:"Mmm"

Me and Vaughn were waking to their rooms when I had stopped her.

Me:" Vaughn I don't know about this. What are they like?"

Vaughn:"Don't tell anyone but they are part of a gang. Martavis is 13 and Michael is 15"

Janiyah:"ohh okay not too old for me? shiiiitt i might just try to get together with Martavis *quite laugh*"

vaughn:" Okay well before we go in I used to date Martavis when we were like 6 and he was 7 but we broke up because my dad found out about us. And i do still have a crush on him. But don't tell him tho!"

Janiyah:"ight ight I Gotchu fam"

Vaughn then knocked on their door and went in. I stayed outside the room for a little bit before she had said.

Vaughn:" I'm here with my friend Janiyah so just letting you know"

???:" Oh okay"

Vaughn:" So Martavis my grandmother and my siblings are at the park at that church wanna go?"

Martavis:"Hell yeah man I need to get out of here Michael you wanna go?

Michael:"Yeah I'll come with ya'll. Tavis you bringing your Blacks?

Martavis: yeah hang on let me get a lighter real quick"

Michael:"ight"

That's when Me,Michael, and Vaughn went out their house and waited outside for Martavis. Pretty soon he came out.

Me and Vaughn was walking in the front and the boys were in the back

We eventually made it back to the park.

Michael and Martavis went on the swings while Vaughn had pulled me over to the side.

Me:"What's wrong with you?"

Vaughn:"Nun really I just really like Martavis and I want you to ask him if he likes me back"

Me:" oh okay. so you want to say. look Vaughn really likes and you should consider her feelings and she's known you for so long you guys should date cause she really likes you"

Vaughn:"Yeah! That should be good"

Me:"Ok Well when you want me to do it?"

Vaughn:"now I guess"

Me:"Okay"
