Xavier turned to the side of the bed feeling the chills. He sat up and pulled his blankets closer, clutching them to his body.
"Xavier," Vera's voice called him. She was weeping and looked so frail. His heart ached upon seeing her. He quickly ran to her, knelt in front of her, and hugged her. "Xavier, please let me out." She begged. "It's not my fault. I swear."
He was speechless but then, he trusted her. He trusts his sister.
"I know," He whispered.
"It's not mine…" She sobbed and hiccuped. "Eris did this to me."
Xavier woke up from the dream. He was sweating cold. He gasped some air as a knock on the door interrupted him. He swore that he put a do not disturb sign. He got up and went to the door. The first thing he saw was Marvin's face. They stared at each other for a while waiting for the right moment.
"Can I come in?" Marvin asked. "I'm sorry that I disturb you."
