She felt a chill go down her spine as he said, "Tell us the truth."

Her lungs heaved forth a "yes."

She leaned in closer as he ran his fingers through her hair.

"Tell Mathew how you really feel."

Our eyes met, and I saw the sapphire in hers. Her eyes were still clouded by mystery, yet she managed to say the thing that made my chest tighten.

"I have feelings for you, Matthew. I didn't realize I wasn't afraid of you.."

"Do you get it now? Emily, you're important to me and to you. There will be no jealousy or rivalry amongst us over you. We're better off as a unit. We're a group of three. "
