1 Prologue

Screeching ripped through the silence of the night. The guards of Heaven locked chains around Myra Yamishito's throat and limbs. Her violet eyes looked all around frantically, tears building with rage. "You can't do this! You can't take me from my kids!"

Across the center of the house, her husband, Girston, stood in front of their three children. They looked at their mother, unsure as to why the guards were taking her away from them.

Girston approached the leading guard, exchanging a specific handshake known only to elite Angels as Myra snapped her head at them. For a moment, the guards hauling her away let their hold waver and she broke free, baring her demonic features towards her husband. She trusted him, loved him, believed they would actually accomplish their goals together, yet he stabbed her in the back. He hurt her, sold her out, and for what?

"I'll rip your head from your shoulders, Girston!"

He appeared before her in a flash. Myra was shocked at his incredibly fast movement, even as his fingers ripped through her stomach. The oldest of the three kids, the black haired boy Kairas, took his two siblings and rushed them into another room. His sister shouted to their mother, while their white haired brother remained silent, empty, like a husk.

Myra dropped to the floor, coughing up bits of blood as she looked up to this stranger. Who was this man? This man that so casually betrayed her and harmed her in front of their kids.

"I truly am sorry," He told her, kneeling down. "Your ideals weren't going to get you very far, Myra. You'd be forsaking us, and our kids. I figured it would be best to turn you in and keep them safe, instead of all of us going down with you."

"We're family," She said, feeling her voice crack. "I love you.. I just wanted the best for us, you know that!"

He didn't speak. Instead, he watched as the guards hauled her weakened body away. Girston only said something as she was going out the door. "By the way, I spiked your drink with a drug. You won't be able to properly perceive things for a little while. May God have mercy on your soul."

Her eyes closed halfway. She pursed her lips, but nothing escaped her throat. No sounds, no words, and her body gave no resistance.

From the window, Kairas watched as their mother was thrown into a black van with no side windows. The door was slammed shut, the guards moving in through the side doors. Griston stepped outside with the leading General, once again exchanging their elite handshake before the General stepped into the van and closed it with a heavy slam, the dark van suddenly sped off and into the air, before fading into a dark cloud.

Girston took a look back at the house, catching Kairas' eyes for a few seconds before the boy dropped off of his sister's shoulders and slid down against the wall. He looked between his sister, Shine, rubbing her head as she played nervously with her long black curls. Kairas's green eyes met with his brother, Takabi's, violet orbs.

They still looked empty, as if his entire world had come crashing down, and he was unsure of what to say to the middle child. Not many words could come to mind though, because Griston soon entered the room, looking down at the three.

First, Shine hit the floor, unconscious. Takabi passed out next, sweat forming from his forehead. Kairas struggled to stay awake. He knew what it was. Their father was casting a sleeping spell.

The boy fought with all his might, but the spell was too strong for him and he knew it. He just watched his father move towards his brother, and pick up the white haired boy's motionless little body.

"His temperature is rising… This is not good." He ripped off Takabi's shirt, eyes falling on the two gems sticking out of his son's chest. A white gem was over his heart, while a violet one was rooting into his right lung. Both left visible scars, as if they were recently implanted.

"Damn her… She implanted them beforehand.." Girston looked at Kairas next. "That cold you had a couple months. Did your mother do the same thing to you?"

"She… She told us it was to make us stronger.. Make us men so bad guys wouldn't hurt us." Kairas said weakly. His little voice was slowly coming back. The sleeping spell must've been lessened. Kairas and Takabi were twins, with Kairas being a few minutes older, yet it seemed they were years apart in age, despite both being seven.

Girston's hand sped through the air, coming down hard on Kairas' cheek. The stinging pain lurked in the boy's cheek as he rubbed his coco colored skin, a thin redness beginning to form. He looked at his father in horror. He had never hit him before. This was not the man he knew, the man he admired.

"Don't… Hit him... " Takabi's little voice left his parched throat. His body heat had grown considerably, so much that Girston dropped him on his back and stepped away, hand red from burns. Takabi rose his head slowly, getting to his feet and standing between Kairas and his father. "No dad… ever hits… his kids…"

"You're a child. You know nothing of the burden your mother bestowed upon you both!" Girston tried to keep his tone calm. "Enough of this. Come with me, and I will remove them before it's too late." He held his hand out, but the second he saw Takabi's eyes flash, his violet-green eyes widened in shock at his son. "T.. Taki… Calm down…" Girston went from a gesture of help to one of defense. He put his hands up, palms out and tried to ease the obvious anger in his son.

"You let them… Take mom… Get away from us.." His small fist clenched tightly, his coco skin becoming a pitch black and hair lengthening to his lower back. His canines sharpened into thick fangs.

"Takabi, please just relax!" Girston's voice was full of fear. The Gems made him dangerous. He could sense it, the constantly swelling divine Mana.

"JUST GO AWAY!" The windows shattered at his voice. The walls ripped apart, and pipes burst. Flames surged from his feet, rushing at Girston, before the entire house ignited in a white fireball so massive, the houses nearby ripped apart, and the neighborhood was turned into a flaming wasteland in an instant.
