Douluo Dalu 3: Crimson Eyed Sword Douluo

"I, Xiao Yu, today after a long period of patient anticipation, have finally reached the age of six. It's the day when I can officially awaken my powers. Since a young age, I've heard countless tales of the legendary Douluos, Thousand Hands Douluo Tang San and Spirit Ice Douluo Huo Yuhao. These stories ignited a fire within me, fueling my passion to walk the path of a soul master.

Both my parents are accomplished soul masters, each more impressive than the other, and they have always encouraged my dream of becoming the best. I've led a life of utmost comfort so far, as my family is well-off. My father, Xiao Chen, serves as a lieutenant in the navy, and my mother, a remarkable soul master herself, receives funding from the state. We reside in a multi-storied building in SkySea City provided to us in recognition of our family's long-standing commitment and contributions to the military.

I have a high chance of awakening the [Bright Sword] Martial Soul, a legacy passed down through generations in the Xiao family. Alternatively, there's also a possibility of attaining the [Spirit Eyes] Martial Soul, the same as my mother's rare body martial soul, related to the Spirit Ice Douluo. Regardless, my deepest desire is to awaken my soul power, for without it, I cannot become a soul master," Xiao Yu ponders to himself, a nervous anticipation palpable within him.

Xiao Yu possesses jet-black hair and striking crimson red eyes, reminiscent of his father, while his facial features bear a resemblance to his mother, making him a handsome child.

"Xiao Yu, stop spacing out. I have to return to the base tomorrow, and I came here today to accompany you for your awakening. Son, don't burden yourself too much. With the numerous Spirit Treasures you have consumed and the strict dietary regimen you've followed, it would be a miracle if you don't awaken your soul power," consoles Xiao Chen, a tall man with jet-black hair and distinct crimson eyes. He drives his son to the Spirit Pagoda, where they have an appointment for Xiao Yu's Soul Power and Spirit Power assessment.

"Mm..." Xiao Yu responds, not one to merely dream about his ambitions. After learning about the legends of the Spirit Ice Douluo, he realized that only through hard work and perseverance could one achieve greatness. Thus, he has diligently maintained a healthy diet and consumed spiritual treasures, regardless of their less-than-ideal taste. These efforts have nourished his body significantly.

Typically, Martial Soul awakening occurs once a year, free of charge. However, Xiao Yu missed the awakening day by just a month, and he couldn't bear to wait another year. Therefore, his father made a reservation at the Spirit Pagoda for his awakening.

Soon, they arrive at the Spirit Pagoda. The Spirit Pagoda in SkySea City is an expansive establishment with multiple floors. Xiao Yu proceeds to the reception, accompanied by his father. After verifying their identities, the staff leads them to the Awakening Room.

Xiao Yu steps into the room while Xiao Chen waits outside. A spirit master from the Spirit Pagoda welcomes Xiao Yu with a smile and points to where he should stand. The soul master informs Xiao Yu that the awakening is about to commence, and he releases his soul power, enveloping the entire room. The soul power gradually approaches Xiao Yu.

Xiao Yu stands there, dumbfounded. It's the first time he truly feels the presence of soul power. He experiences a sensation as the soul power crawls up his legs and flows into his body, permeating through his heart.

A comfortable surge of power wells up within Xiao Yu. Suddenly, his eyes begin to emit a crimson glow, an indication that he has awakened something akin to [Spirit Eyes]. But it doesn't stop there; a longsword resembling a katana materializes in his hands, revealing the awakening of twin martial souls.

The soul master, momentarily shocked, soon recovers and proceeds to test Xiao Yu's Soul Power.

"Have I awakened my soul power?" Xiao Yu looks towards the soul master with hope now that he has awakened both the [Bright Sword], inherited from his father, and the [Crimson Eyes], which he believes to be a variation of his mother's [Spirit Eyes].

"Yes, indeed! You have awakened your soul power, and the test indicates that you possess innate full soul power. As expected of a twin martial soul master," the soul master responds with a smile.

"This is it! Now I can finally embark on my journey to become the greatest of all time," Xiao Yu silently rejoices. All his hard work has paid off.
