Volantis Frontier Town Uz
Fire burned all around the small town, while the sound of screams resonated within the now destroyed buildings, the small wooden gates which had provided some medium of protection had been utterly destroyed. Ravaged by the Continuous firing Siege equipment.
A loud horn sounded on the outskirts of the town.
Siting atop a massive dark mane Dothraki horse, Tamerlane watched as his spearmen stepped forward, consisting of a group of twelve hundred in total, something which hadn't been actually easy to acquired.
'If The Dothraki riders could dismount, and actually fight on foot without considering it a disgrace maybe he wouldn't have had to create a new army of foot soldiers. Thankfully the lamb men's are easily controlled and docile, else he would be in a bind in his future conquests, and my even resort to mercenaries.'
But now he didn't need to worry about such a think, as he watched his spearmen advance into the defenseless town, while being covered by the continues arrow fires of his horse riders.
The rest of his riders stood at attention, they wouldn't be seeing much combat on this day, he didn't want to risk his horsemen in such a pitch fighting, where his spearmen would handle it better.
Not to mention he still didn't want to commit his whole forces in case of any unforeseen accident,
Volantis wouldn't be responding quickly to his attack at least according to his information, and scouts but Tamerlane was still cautious and had made sure to set up a fortified position atop a hill on the east of the town.
Hoof
Tamerlane turned his heads at the sound of horse scout approaching his position, but before he could even take another step he was stopped.
"Don't move another step boy," the cold voice of his right hand man and blood brother Chango reached the young scout, forcing to halt his horse. He was instantly surrounded by riders which began to check him.
Only after making sure everything was saved both person and scroll, did chango give the parchment to him.
Grappling the scroll, Tamerlane read it with a careful look,
The letter was from his secret ally a volantis nobleman, who he had met in his early years when raiding the Lamb man with his Father.
Vogiros Sorren wasn't a trust worthy in the least, but Tamerlane wasn't concerned about the character of the men, but the situation at hand,
and he knew the amount of profit this expedition would bring to the money loving nobleman. So for the moment he needn't fear betrayal.
But the information on the scroll was concerning not to say the least, because the Volantis forces had responded quicker than was expected, especially concerning his ally.
Tamerlane hadn't gone headlong into his incursion into volantis frontiers territory without gathering aids.
And one of this aid was apparently being besieged at this moment while being outnumbered,
He couldn't help but musing not sending any aid, but quickly discarded it he needed the alliance for his future goals, at the very least until he become a Khal of Khals.
Not to mention this was a direct attack on his logistics line.
Still he didn't want to retreat so quickly, Uz the small town was located in a strategic geographical position, one which he intended to use as a logistics resting position. It sat near one of the bridges straddling a tributary river of rhoyn.
"Chago, Take three thousand of our fastes riders, and head North, I want you to asses the battlefield and see if support is possible Khal ghaze if not burn the supplies don't let the enemy take it," striking his fists into his chest Chago reared his horse back before riding to carry out his Khal order.
"My khal will be able to carry out such an attack and capture the bridge without so many of our best fighters," Kesso His Second blood brother asked with a puzzled look as he watched, his brother ride off.
"One wouldn't be able to take such a fortified stronghold with our numbers, but we won't even need that much, if my gamble works out," Tamerlane had a calmed expression as he spoke, his gaze turning to burning village.
