Chapter 167

The roof was equipped with some cool traps, if you pull levers it can pour poison and oils onto the attack's heads.

There were plenty of spaces for archers, there were crossbows. Although tasteless against warriors without the proper blueprints, they were still useful against mortal cannon fodder.

''Dam thief! Coming into my territory and claiming it like it's his!'' Daniel Simpson Smashed his hand against the chair.

''Did you find out where this bastard came from yet?'' He spoke to his attendant. He was also from the Simpson family.

Daniel wanted to use his family's power to find the origin of Samuel, but he was unfortunately disappointed.

''We haven't managed to find the exact origin of the force. But from studying the bodies we have found connections to Eltorns, Caterpillar Swarms and Humans. It is a strange combination.''

The attendant loyally reported.

Although the Simpson family is large, they don't know the entire situation of the Eternal Battlefield. Even the top tier species don't dare say they can do that.

But they were able to find the connection between the races.

''Three separate species? Damn, is it another family taking action? The Nasfords? The Libensraums?'' Daniel angrily spoke.

In his opinion only large families would be able to incorporate multiple races into one army. But he didn't understand why they would be so determined to attack his plane?

''Unless they are like me?'' He was quickly confused.

He remembered his first century as a ruler, he was determined to prove himself and started an invasion of another Plane.

In the end, he lost miserably. He lost a vast majority of the soldiers that his dad gave him to start off in this Plane and he also lost his ambition.

But it would make sense if the people invading him was just a young branch member wanting to prove themselves to access better resources.

What he didn't know was that Samuel managed to control many races with his system. If it wasn't for that, the occupation of his first two planes wouldn't have been so easy.

As for the two families he named, they were long term enemies of the Simpson Family. In fact it was one of the Nasfords planes that Daniel attempted to occupy the first time.

But he was crushed by a young junior who had controlled the plane for less than ten years! Such a defeat was definitely shameful for him.

Especially since he lost half of the warriors he took there.

Samuel didn't know about Daniel's self struggles, if he knew that Daniel thought he was someone from a strong family he would be surprised.

In fact Samuel is confident to create a large family in the future, but he was slowly realising the difference between him and the families.

If just a weak old branch member had over ten thousand warriors under his control, how strong must the rest be?

Not to mention how rich they must be. Just a single Mythril Mine was making Samuel so much money, and families probably control hundreds if not thousands! Just this number made him drool.

But he refocused, Families have lasted the test of time and outlived countless eras. He can't be expected to reach that immediately.

Even Protagonists wouldn't dare say they can match these families. After all Samuel wouldn't be surprised if these large families condense enough luck to artificially create sons of luck!

Just a mediocre Blue Star Protagonist isn't comparable.

However Samuel is also aware of his own advantage. His Dogs of War aren't easily traceable, he is very safe when he does deals.

Even if one group of his forces are wiped out, he can recover with the rest of them.

The battle on Lestan Plane has reached a Stalemate. Samuel made up for his troops' weaknesses by filling up the numbers.

Close to eight thousand warriors were trained by A1, although not fully but in around a year they had the basics and were transferred.

Soon the day came that Samuel was determined to take action against Daniel Simpson.

He didn't have enough time to waste with a fight on this plane. He still needed time to make all of the population his transitional Dogs of War before the scourge happened.

Although there were still around 90 years left, if he prolongs this invasion it will waste his time.

Samuel appeared looking down at the over ten thousand soldiers, the new legion members clearly have weaker equipment, but they are warriors nonetheless.

Soon they set off, their target was the capital city. Soon they arrived. It was a giant city with walls over forty metres tall.

Samuel could see from miles away that the city which should be bustling with mortals was completely closed.

Two figures floated above the city wall.

''You dare to attack our capital city? Haven't you already suffered enough?'' Daniel Simpson held a mocking smile when he saw the legions behind Samuel.

Unfortunately he didn't take the time to realise that the forces were actually double the size as when they first attacked.

Samuel saw this and realised why Daniel was restricting and unappreciated in his family.

However he sized up the man next to him. It was an old crickety man dressed in a servants uniform.

He must be the attendant who works with Daniel Simpson. He is the only other High Rank 1 Warrior here.

Samuel flew into the air, and under Daniels shocked eyes two other figures appeared beside him.

''Three High Rank 2 Warriors?'' His eyes widened.

''Dam what are you guys doing!'' Out of anger and surprise Daniel smashed the head of one of his intelligence agents.

''Not so confident anymore huh?'' Samuel sneered mockingly.

But this was largely a facade. He wasn't completely confident, his eyes were focused on the warriors floating slightly behind Daniel.

Creation is hard, cheer me up!
