The Admission Day

The day was autumn, as the season the day seemed to be very beautiful today. The leaves of the trees had already turned yellow, orange, brown and red as the season had set in. 

The cold breeze was gently stroking the girl's body, making her sleep more peacefully. Her long, lustrous black hair billowed, dancing in harmony with the cold breeze.

"Grrrr!! Grrrr!!" The itching sound of the alarm clock broke the peaceful sleep of the girl, making her hand forward and turning off the alarm, aswell getting drunk in sleep. She was just in peaceful sleep when suddenly she opened her eyes and her beautiful lovely brown eyes glanced at the clock, ticking its way to 6 o'clock. 

Seeing the time, she took a sigh of relief and with that she heard her father calling "Nini!!, Nini get up darling otherwise we will be late for your admission." "Coming papa, I just woke up." Said Nini to her father with a smile thinking she is about to secure admission in the same college that had been her dream since childhood.

Cheerful Nini is a girl of 18, who has just passed her 12th with A+ grades which made her parents feel very proud. Though she is a cheerful girl, no one knows her backstory, not even her parents, which had broken her very badly and even affected her examination. Her parents were very happy with her results but she was not satisfied as she knew she could have done better.

She quickly got up from the bed, immediately made it up singing the rhythm "hmm…hmm". Taking her clothes, she entered the washroom to get fresh and rejuvenated for the new beginning.

Within 20 mins she came out of the washroom completing her daily routine and it took her 10 more minutes to get ready for the fresh beginning ahead.

"Nini, if you are done come downstairs and have your breakfast." Her mother shouted from the ground floor. "I am all set to start my new journey let's have breakfast now" thinking this in her mind she locked her room and came downstairs. Seeing her parents, her grandma and sister on the dining table, she took place beside her grandma.

"Umm! Have it", enjoying the delicious food her mother passed her breakfast. She quickly completed her breakfast as always, she likes to savor every bite, fully enjoying the flavors of her meal but today she was in a hurry as they had to leave for the admission.

Nini's father took out their car from their garage and opened the passenger side's door for his lovely daughter. Passing a smile towards her family and waving her hand she sat inside the car holding all her documents like marksheets, Identity card, and some other certificates as they will be important for the admission.

Waving hand to the younger daughter, her father started the car and played a song as both the father-daughter duo have the same taste in music. With that, old classic songs started to play and both of them were enjoying the songs that were perfectly complementing Autumn.

As Nini is a nature lover, she always loves to enjoy the view of trees, sky, birds, etc. and loves to feel the air as it embraces her, making her feel protected and safe. Sitting inside the car she was stunned by nature's beauty which was forcing her to admire the natural things around her. The cold breeze was flowing which was making her happy seeing that exact moment.

After 45 minutes of happy and peaceful journey, they reached in front of the college gate which was very huge. The guards who were always present in front of the gate in their proper uniform, instructed her father to park the car outside as only VIPs and faculties were allowed to park their vehicles inside college campus and others are allowed to park in the general parking area of the college.

Nini got down from the car, holding all her documents inside a file and her phone. Within few seconds her father parked the car and got down too. Signing on the registration book both father and daughter forwarded their footsteps to go inside.

"Papa we should call HOD sir as he told us to call when we will reach college" Stated Nini to her father. Her father hummed before dialing their professor as he is Head of the department.

They reached in front of the cabin of the HOD as the HOD had already instructed them. Without wasting a second they went inside the HOD's cabin.

"The HOD seemed to be a nice man" thought Nini seeing the gestures and his way of greeting. Soon the HOD asked some questions to test the IQ of Nini. After he was done he passed a smile and welcomed Nini for the new journey.

"Sir, please come this way, rest of the things are going to proceed in two different halls." The HOD guided them to the different block and finally within a few minutes they reached in front of a huge hall. On the above door a steel plate was fixed with 'Civil Auditorium Hall' written on it. 

She sat in that auditorium hall for around 30 minutes till her turn came. "Nini Palmer", a faculty member called her name and she forwarded her steps towards that old man. The old man asked her to have a seat through his gestures while fixing his glasses. Nini nodded and sat on the chair in front of him. "Show me your marksheets of previous institutions and the School leaving certificate and yes your national identity card too." The old man instructed in one go, while looking at the papers that he was holding in his hand and typing something on the computer.

After checking all those documents, the old man took the admission fees from Nini's father, who was also sitting beside her from the start. After completing everything he forwarded Nini and her father towards another hall in which the rest of the process is going to proceed.

She again looked upwards to check which hall is this and she found again a plate above the door with 'Mechanical Seminar Hall'. 

She chose to sit beside a girl who was too sitting there on the 3rd bench, as the other benches were filled with hundreds of students. 

Soon all of the students got an informative paper to complete the paper works for their personal files in college. Holding that paper in hand Nini asked the girl "What's your branch?" The girl beside her passed a smile and said "Information Technology". Nini smiled thinking finally she found someone from her branch Information Technology (IT).

Both of the girls were chatting with each other when Nini heard a voice from behind. "Do you have an extra pen?" A boy who had covered his face with a mask was standing there. "Hmm" Nini nodded and gave one of her pens to the boy.

Nini again turned back towards the girl and soon both of them filled the paper and glued their photo on it.

She was about to put down the pen when a lady faculty called her name "Nini Palmer, please come here."

She took the receipt and forwarded her file towards a young faculty member who was sitting on the computer doing data entry of the students. He asked a few questions to Nini just to check whether all the data were correct or not.

And within a few minutes the entire process was completed and that young man gave her files back to the lady faculty.

"Now you can go dear." The lady handed her the receipts and with that Nini slightly bowed her head before coming out of the room. "Papa, finally my admission is successfully completed. Let's go and eat something Papa at the market. I am feeling very hungry."
