Chapter 1Awakening

His head hurt as he laid face down on his bed. It was only after a few moments that he managed to recover.

In a daze, he scanned the room, and only he noticed he wasn't in his house. As the room was utterly foreign to him, it had several beds, and various toys littered the room.

It was only when he looked outside through a window and only saw a forest that his memories came back.

His parents were dead. They died as collateral damage in the villain's attack on the Justice League headquarters, the one that was apparently located on the mountain of their town, Happy Harbor.

But his sorrow felt distant. It was like it happened years ago. He blankly looked at the wall as he tried to remember what happened.

His memories were jumbled, and somethings didn't make sense, but he discarded them and focused on the ritual he did to see his parents one last time.

His family was one of the mages. His family has taught him some rituals and some magic, but nothing too spectacular, he could light a few candles and enhance his senses, but nothing more.

So it was no surprise when the ritual he copied from one of his parent's books went wrong. He could only remember the pain and scattered memories from the future.

Even then, he could feel that he wasn't the one in control these past few months.

The spirit he summoned was the one in control; he had been a passenger in his own body for the last few months. He felt dread and relief at the same time; thankfully, the spirit disappeared.

As he ruffled through his memories, he noticed the spirit that inhabited his body had left a diary.

The first page made absolutely no sense to him. It was a much of scribbles that said how screwed be was because of the world he was in.

There were a few notes that stood out on the page.

'Peak Human, that's bullshit.'

'Do I have a metagene?'

'Where's my cheat?'

There were a few ideas written next to them, as to how to train or how to activate this 'metagene.' In the end, he flipped the next page.

The handwritten got more unclear, but there was an ending message.

'My memories are being erased.'

'I'll make them regret it; if they don't give me a cheat, I'll make one myself.'

A feeling of intense anger flooded his mind as he read that. He could feel the spirit's resentment towards whoever erased his memories.

Hunter Carlson read the entries of the diaries page after page. Finally, he realized how much time passed since his parent's deaths.

Thirteen months.

There was only a single thought on his mind when he finished the diary.

Fuck.

He wasn't just Hunter Carlson anymore. The spirit mixed their souls when he activated a ritual so he could create a 'System.'

The man was a madman by his standards; he gouged their magic but gave them a highway to power.

Magic could do anything with enough materials and preparations. But the spirit realized it was useless in a world like this where one could die at any moment. Like his parents.

So he created limitations and guidelines to their magic, this, in turn, let them grow, and the spirit planned to use this to accumulate power so he could buy magic items and knowledge.

But what baffles him, was on what he based the system on. A Game, a particularly bloody one at that.

He tried to activate the 'Diablo System.'

Diablo System Rules:

1. Will make the dreamscape of the user the world of Diablo II.

2. Abilities and stats gained in the dreamscape will be transferred to the user.

3. Items from the dreamscape won't be transferred to the real world.

4. If the user dies in the dreamscape, he dies in the real world.

5. Specific abilities will be modified as the dreamworld will be close to reality.

Character selection (User only has one slot.)

-Necromancer

-Sorcerer

He knew why those two appeared, because he already had magic, and he had experimented on souls.

He immediately made a choice, sorcerer. The spirit already aligned a plan, and he saw no flaws in it.

Kol Mikaelson-The Wild Original

After being killed by Elena and Jeremy Gilbert, Kol Mikaelson finds himself reborn in a different world—our world. Stripped of his memories, he lives as a human, free to indulge in his passions and desires, just as he always has. For 27 years, Kol thrives in this new existence, his sharp wit and natural charisma carving a path through the mundane. But when his life abruptly ends at 27, Kol awakens back in Mystic Falls, moments after the dagger is pulled from his chest. His memories of centuries as an Original vampire flood back, along with the recollection of his recent mortal life. Though he remains the same unapologetic, pleasure-seeking Kol, his time in our world has given him a fresh perspective—a modern, human lens to view the supernatural games he loves to play. Armed with this newfound understanding, Kol navigates the dangerous waters of Mystic Falls with his usual flair, seeking revenge, revelry, and perhaps a few unexpected opportunities. Unshackled by guilt or doubt, Kol lives as he pleases, but with sharper eyes and an even sharper mind, ready to take on the world—and anyone who dares cross him. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the rewrite I planned. I got stuck with writer's block and didn’t know how to move forward, so it turned out like that previously. Now, let’s get this show on the road! The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, and related fandoms do not belong to me. I’m always up for discussion and comments, and I always appreciate constructive criticism.
