Chapter 1OLD TESTAMENT

**Carpophorus's P.O.V**

"In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth."

"Father, you called," I say, bowing slightly to the man in front of me. "It's almost time for you to shine, Carpophorus," he says, standing up and patting my shoulders with his white, wrinkled hands. I should be happy about this, but I know this throne isn't rightfully mine—it's Caesar's.

My brother Caesar has always been the most skilled and was loved unconditionally by our father. I was never the center of attention, but today, the tables will turn. The most feared title will be given to me. The title of 'God.'

**Flashback**

Caecilia gasped as Caesar thrust into her, her body shaking violently from the 15th orgasm. It was more pleasure than she had imagined her son could give her. All those nights lying next to her husband after he failed to satisfy her were nothing compared to the thrill of Caesar buried inside her.

My brother was caught bedding our mother. Father was furious but couldn't banish him because of his love for him. Caesar has been deprived of many things, and I am being favored by his misfortune.

The day of the coronation finally arrived, and the heavenly realm was abuzz with excitement and anticipation. Divine beings gathered in the grand throne room, their finest robes shimmering in the light of golden chandeliers.

I, Carpophorus, resplendent in white and gold cloth, stood tall and proud as I approached the throne. Cassius, my father, his eyes heavy with sorrow, placed the crown upon my head.

"By the power vested in me, I crown you, Carpophorus, ruler of the heavenly realm," he declared, his voice echoing through the hall.

The assembly erupted into cheers and applause, but Caesar's voice was noticeably absent. He stood at the back of the room, his face a mask of silent defiance.

As I raised my arms in triumph, a dark energy pulsed through the room, like a shadow cast by an unseen force. The divine beings cheered on, oblivious to the ominous sign.

Cassius, however, saw it clear as day. His heart heavy with foreboding, he knew that my ambition had unleashed a power that would bring darkness and despair to the heavenly realm.

The coronation feast that followed was a grand affair, with tables groaning under the weight of celestial delicacies and drinks flowing like the rivers of the heavens. But amidst the merriment, Caesar's absence was felt like a shadow, a reminder that the harmony of the realm was about to be shattered.

Finally, the title 'God' had been given to me. Now it was time to set things right, to correct the mistakes Father made. I thought with a wide smile on my face, "Just wait and see, brother. I can and I will do better than you," I said to myself in the 'caelestis locus' (heavenly room), a room of great power.

Months had passed since my coronation, and the heavenly realm was still basking in the glory of my rule. But beneath the surface, a deadly conspiracy was brewing.

Caecilia, the beautiful and kind-hearted divine being—my mother—had discovered she was pregnant with Caesar's child. My brother's child. The news spread like wildfire, and my anger knew no bounds.

I saw this as a betrayal, a personal affront to my authority and power. My mind raced with dark thoughts, and I became consumed by a burning desire for revenge.

One fateful night, after much contemplation, I decided to restore balance to the heavenly realm by eliminating the source of the imbalance. I summoned my most trusted advisors to the chambers. "We must eliminate the imbalance in the heavenly realm," I hissed, my eyes blazing with fury. "Caecilia, Caesar, and their unborn child must be destroyed."

They looked unsure, but they knew better than to disobey my order. And so, a sinister plan was set in motion.

Assassins were dispatched to hunt down Caecilia and Caesar, with orders to leave no trace of their existence.

**Caesar's P.O.V**

I sensed a darkness brewing in the heavenly realm. My brother, Carpophorus, had been acting strangely, his ambition and desire for power consuming him. I tried to reason with him, to bring him back from the brink, but he wouldn't listen. And not too long after, the worst happened.

The day began like any other in the heavenly realm. Divine beings went about their duties, and the realm was at peace. But then, without warning, a dark energy began to spread, like a stain on the fabric of the universe.

At first, it was subtle, a faint tremor that only the most attuned could sense. But it quickly grew in power, until the very foundations of the realm began to shake.

Carpophorus, my brother, stood at the center of the chaos, his eyes blazing with an otherworldly energy. He raised his hands, and the darkness responded, swirling around him in a maddening vortex.

"You have stood in my way for the last time, Caesar!" he screamed, his voice like thunder. "Today, I take my rightful place as the ruler of the heavenly realm!"

And with that, chaos erupted, a maelstrom of darkness and destruction that threatened to consume everything in its path. I knew then that I had to act, to stop Carpophorus and restore balance to the universe. But as I faced my brother, I realized that the darkness had already taken hold, and the fate of the heavenly realm hung in the balance.

He came at me with bloodlust in his eyes. He swung his sword with the intent to cut flesh and end my life. With each swift sway, I moved ever so gracefully to avoid being hit by the intense sword swinging. Seeing that his sword skills weren't working, he switched to magic.

**The Battle**

The air was electric with tension as Carpophorus and I faced off, our magical powers crackling with energy. The darkness swirling around him seemed to pulse with an otherworldly power, as if it was alive and hungry for destruction.

I raised my hands, and a brilliant light burst forth, illuminating the darkened realm. The light coalesced into a shimmering blade, its edge razor-sharp and pulsing with divine energy.

Carpophorus sneered, his eyes flashing with malevolent intent. He hurled a bolt of dark energy at me, its power enough to shatter the very fabric of reality.

I raised my blade, and the two powers clashed in a shower of sparks and lightning. The force of the impact sent us both flying across the realm, our powers locked in a struggle that shook the very foundations of the universe.

The darkness howled and raged, seeking to consume me whole, but I stood firm, my light burning brighter with every passing moment. Carpophorus's powers were formidable, but I would not be defeated.

He saw that his attacks towards me were nothing but child's play, so he decided to take this game to the next level. He went for Caecilia. Our mother. I couldn't stand there and watch such a thing happen; I had to take action, but no place was safe enough to guarantee her safety.

Creating magical creatures to hold him off, I rushed to find Mother and think of what to do next. "Evanesco," I said, vanishing to her side. "It's not safe..." I couldn't finish my words because my brother was already there, ready to cause chaos. "Abeamus!" (Let's go) I said as I carried her and teleported away from him. The only reasonable thing I could think of was sealing Mother to Earth so she could not return here. "Goodbye, Mother. In nomine Dei Patris et Dei Filii et Dei Spiritus Sancti. Amen!" (In the name of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Amen.) A white light shone around her, sealing her off to Earth, far away from this disaster.

**Carpophorus's P.O.V**

Seeing my mother vanish in a burst of light only fueled my rage. "So, you think you can thwart me, brother? This is far from over!"

With the divine balance shattered and a growing darkness within me, I swore to bring Caesar down, no matter the cost. My reign had only just begun.
