Chapter 9: Source of Power


Soon after Caitlyn left, Tom ignored me and went towards the dining table, while bringing over the cat food.

He was fake snoring so that Caitlyn wouldn't be too worried and interrupt my night out.

But, to no one's surprise, he added 9 more portions, eating what 10 cats would normally eat, and then began to dig in.

Seeing how he ignored me, I knew he was being shy since I usually teased him when he worried so much.


I didn't say anything though, as I just patted his head, put all the equipment he asked for on the table and went into my room.

As I went into my room, I could see a wooden box in the corner of it moving.

I also heard slight murmurs coming out of the box.

"Let me out! Lucas, I know you're there! Your stupid cat put me back into this darned prison!" 


On second thoughts, it was probably my brain making up hallucinations since I was 'tired' from the fight.

Yeah, that sounds about right. 

"Lucas?" 

It's been a long day so I think it is a good time to turn in.

"LUCAS!"

Back at Star Labs

"Caitlyn, so you're saying that this energy can potentially be synergistic with the speed force? How much faster can a speedster run with this?" Asked Jay, as Caitlyn finished her analysis.

"Cisco's device wasn't able to siphon off much, it seems like an extremely minute amount, and according to the video we all saw, it seemed like the small amount we did is a by-product of the transformation that happened for the man in Blue's suits." Caitlyn explained.

"Answer my question." Jay asked, as he grabbed her shoulders.

"Hey man, take it easy." Cisco said, as he stood in between the two of them.

Jay took a second to calm down, and then seemed to think some things through in his head before eventually sighing.


"You're right, I am sorry for getting so worked up. It's just…now I finally see a way for Barry to beat Zoom." Jay said, while sitting down on a chair.

"We all get it man, an entire world is being tormented and we are still out here, but still remember that we are doing everything possible we can right now so we need to stay level headed." Barry explained, as he patted Jay's shoulder.

Jay sighed once again, but no one could tell what he was actually thinking.


"So, how much faster can I go according to your simulations?" Barry asked.

"Well, using this energy and injecting it into your bloodstream, thereby combining it with the speed force will put your cells that are supercharged with Speedforce already in an excited state and either make you run faster by 10 times…or make your speed force be consumed." Caitlyn analyzed.

"What do you mean consumed," Jay asked in worry.

"There seems to be a bio-marked place on this energy source that only allows it to be used by the man who produced it. If we could somehow meet the man in the blue suit it would help us a lot." Caitlyn explained,

"Well, better get starting," Cisco said, as he started to recalibrate the satellites.


"Cisco, try within these few blocks radius, I got the reading there last time." Barry added.


"I will survey the buildings in the name of CCN and see if there is anything we can find about this mystery man." Iris said.

"All we know is that he is probably not a bad guy, but he is still definitely dangerous. His armor can change into a mode with extreme amounts of strength, something capable of flying and he has something he can throw as well." Barry briefed.

"Do we need to get Singh involved?" Joe asked.

"Not for now, let's not get the cops in danger. Let's try first." Barry said, as the team got into action.

Serena POV

"Blaire, there has to be a way I can find out if he is okay." I asked, as the girl I was speaking to did not care and was reading her itinerary for the following day.

"Stop freaking out, I am sure he will be fine. He lives in a subpar neighborhood, so it means he is used to these sorts of muggings." Blaire said, clearly not bothered.

In her mind, her friend was just going on another savior crusade, and she did not like it when she described this new boy.

Dropped out of highschool?

Does not have relatives?

Lives in a shithole?

Is the manager of some shitty place?

Like, what reason did she have to like him?

Sure, if he was hot she could, but could she not just use him for sex and leave him, like her friend already did to all those men during the summer, on multiple occasions?

"Mugging?! It was a meta-human terrorizing us! Literal streets, with tensof cars were brutally destroyed and someone must have gotten hurt! And in between all that he decided to save me first!" Serena spat, as she tried to convince her friend that she was being unreasonable.

"Meta-human shmeta-human. What's new? This is central fucking city! We already knew this was the case after we left Starling to come here since at the end of the day the Flash will save us, rather than some hooded guy with an arrow." Blaire said.

"What does this have to do with the arrow?"

"Nothing…anyways, if you're so worried, didn't you say he was serving food at some dumpster?" Blaire asked, trying to spark her best friend's mind.

"Wait…yes…I can just wait for him at Jitters tomorrow and see how he is doing! Blaire you are the best!" Serena said, as she hugged her friend.


As she said that, she saw a text from Rufus.

[Rufus: Serena, your moms back and found out from the Dean…I tried my best, she wants to see you tonight.]

"DAMIT!"

"Lucas, I seemed to have realized something about the system."Speed said after I woke up, which immediately caught mine and Tom's attention.

I, who had a massive bed head, immediately looked towards the floating robot who was writing down some calculations on the whiteboard Tom had taken out for him.


This whiteboard allowed steel to use Turbo Energy beams on it and write on it like he is using a normal marker.

"So over the past few days, I have been analyzing your body and I picked up a minute amount of different types of energies traveling through your body, like Dark Matter, Anti-matter and even something that the Flash seems to use, something that is not in my database. Anyways, there various types of energy get stored in your body and then disappear, and a fair bit of Turbo energy you produce has been moving out as well. All these energies combine and just disappear. I had not realized this till now, but since I have been analyzing your body more to unlock more forms, I found out about this." Steel explained.


As I heard that, I let it sink in for a bit.


I always believed that the system was a bi-annual thing, something that activated 2 times a year, but what if thats just because it took me 6 months to get the required amount of energy.

What if I could speed that up?

"Now, there does seem to be a way to speeden up the process, but it would be a bit risky." Steel said.


"What do we have to do?" I asked.

"Well, the most amount of Turbo that is being absorbed by the system when we transform, if mid transformation I am able to find the point where the Turbo Energy is being absorbed and you produce an insane amount into it, we might be able to get another summon." Steel said.

I looked at Tom for his opinion, but he just shrugged his shoulders.

'I am an ordinary cat, how would I know,' his face said.

I felt like knocking this cat.

But I knew Tom's stance on the system and anything related to it, he trusts it.

The system changed his life for the better and only ever helped us, if we could reactivate it to potentially give me another summon, why not?

"Sure, let's give it a try."

Elsewhere in a random part of the multiverse 

Currently in the air, as the glistening moon was in the background, with some snow falling as well, the most popular man of the entire elemental nations was interlocked in a kiss with the princess of the world.

The man had short blond hair, and over his pants and sandals, he wore a black uniform jacket with an orange zipper and buttons on the waist and sleeves. He has a red armband with some sort of clan crest on his left arm.

The women had a fair complexion and pure white eyes that was a common trait among her clansmen. Her dark blue hair extends till beyond her hips and she wore a form-fitting light lavender sleeveless kimono blouse with vertical lines. She also had high stockings with black open toed boots.

As their kiss ended, the couple free-fell from their air extremely slowly, but they didn't seem to have a care in the world.

The woman was completely smitten, as she stared into the eyes of the man of her dreams, from ever since they were little kids.

"I love you," Said the man with whiskers, with a slight smile covering his face, he placed his forehead on hers.

"I love you too." Replied the woman, happy that her feelings finally went through.

After some time, the smitten couple suddenly looked around to realize something.

Nothing was moving, and they were still in the air.


The man looked around to realize that everything in the entire world seemed to be frozen in time, and a floating blue screen was in front of him.
