Deal Struck.

Xander removed his blades from Baraqiel's neck as they would no longer be needed. He was surrounded on all sides by powerful beings and from the look of it, they had no intention to let him leave. Even though he was sure that he would not be able to fight his way out he had hope that Adrian would show mercy. Adrian whistled and had his two Griffons land on the ground for him.

The two creatures landed with little to no sound as they still retained the grace they once did. Amara landed with him and walked at his side like a loyal guard. Rexam jumped down with him as well so the three of them walked toward Baraqiel.

He looked dead ahead at both giants and dragon as they walked toward him. When Adrian and Rexam stood just a few feet from him he asked the most important question.

"What is it you wish to discuss with me?"

Adrian crossed his arms as he looked down at Baraqiel. His distorted voice echoed from his helmet which unversed Baraqiel.

"I wish to offer you the same offer I gave Vasago. Serve me and you will be spared the fate of being turned into a Demon with no free will. Of course, the same goes for your followers, as long as you submit now that is. Otherwise, my legion will get its first field test with them."

Baraqiel squinted his eye as he looked into that dark void as if he could see the Soul Lord's eyes. Sadly he could not as the dark void blocked out all things from inside. He even started to question if Adrian had a face as he understood it.

"Are you willing to answer a question of mine?"

Rexam chortled at him.

"This little guy has some guts."

Amara squinted her dark grey eyes at him.

"And foolish, my lord just allow me to kill him. His body shall serve you better as one of your legion."

Adrian gave Baraqiel a small nod.

"Impress me. Ask away?"

Baraqiel wanted to get mad as they did not take him seriously at all.

"What is your end goal with our world? Why did you invade?"

Adrian decided to make his goal sound nobler. Of course, he still planned to offer this world up to Khorne.

"My original world is one where the Age of Fire has passed. Imagine it as my world ran on a cycle of eternal darkness to ages of light. Now, that the dark has arrived we needed a new world and this one was just the first one I found.

Of course, to accomplish this, War shall stain the field of battle. So, will your blood stain it, or will you be spared I wonder?"

Baraqiel looked down as he clenched his hand.

"Will you allow my men to leave?"

Vander looked at the army of Fallen and gave a nod.

"They may leave as you are who I am after. Of course, the next time we meet they will be met on the battlefield."

Just as Baraqiel was thinking of this Aurelia began to drag Uriel by his arm toward Adrian. She tossed the beaten angel at his feet as he was no longer in any fighting shape. Adrian kneeled down lifting Uriel's head to look into his eyes.

"So, what about you angel?"

Uriel grabbed Adrian's hand and clenched as hard as he could.

"I am sorry father."

A violent build-up of Holy Energy began to gather in Uriel's body as he planned to self-destruct. Adrian grabbed Uriel by the neck and with one hard tug ripped the angel's head from his shoulders.

Baraqiel watched as one of the strongest of Heaven died just like that. He wondered if there was any hope for them to hold off the Soul Lord's invasion. Adrian brought the head up to look into his helmet.

"Your slow."

Uriel's power as a Seraph kept his consciousness for longer than a human, but that was dying too. He used what little power he had to send a message to his brothers in Heaven to prepare.

Viron felt his attempt and caught his message in his clawed hand.

"He tried to send a warning. Do I destroy it?"

Adrian glanced at the magic warning in Viron's hand and shook his head.

"Allow it through."

Viron tossed it to the sky which caused Uriel's desperate last message to rise to Heaven. Rexam nudged him with his shoulder with an odd look.

"You didn't seem the kind to boast like that old man. What changed?"

"I am not boasting. Consider this my declaration of war on Heaven."

Rexam grinned at the idea.

"War it is old man."

Adrian ignored his joking as he looked at the still petrified Angel army in the sky.

"Amara, release your control on them. I think my legions deserve a test run."

From his shadow began to emerge his two Abyss Legions which burned in black purple flames. His first Legion had been named the Abyss Legion and was made for melee combat. His 6 armed Abyss Knights made up the largest part of the legion, but they were supported by Abyss giant Berserkers wielding giant axes.

They were towering figures covered in heavy armor with dual axes in their hands. He had even used the souls and bodies of the 5 Ultimate Class Zombies to make some powerful generals for his Legion.

The second legion was named the Night Lords and they were made up of quick-paced troops. Assassins, Hunters, Rogues, and even demonic horse-mounted demons. He had created more like Erebus his personal war horse for his fast-paced legion.

Viron set up a massive barrier to keep them from escaping as his Demonic Legion were about to be field tested.

"Amara, you may release them."

She nodded as she released her petrification on the Angels. When they became free they were instantly assaulted by a storm of Abyss-forged arrows which would explode once fired. Among his legion, he had mages who launched Abyss boosted spells of varying elements causing casualties in an instant.

"WHERE IS LORD URIEL!"

They began to prepare a resistance as they were sitting ducks in the sky. Baraqiel watched on as the battle between Adrian's Demons and the Angels began. To call it a battle was an exaggeration as each of Adrian's Demons was crafted for war and battle.

Angel warriors flew down in swarms toward the much smaller group of Demons only to be overwhelmed. The Abyss Knights lived up to their titles as they were unmatched up close.

"FOR THE LORD!"

They yelled the name of God as they flew toward the Demons. Adrian watched how each giant Abyss Knight would cleave apart Angels like a bloody butcher. Still, they did not decent into chaos as they fought in a bloody formation that kept order among them.

Their dark greatswords burned and each slash would send large slashes of Abyss Fire that reaped the souls of many. In terms of defense, they were far superior as their very skin was made of Titanite and their flesh was made from that of Silver and Black Knights.

The leading Angel after Uriel looked on in shock as his army was being slaughtered. The 1 winged Angels were not even a bother as each Knight massacred them in droves.

'My God.'

"DO NOT FIGHT ALONE! WORK AS ONE! ATTACK AT RANGE!"

Following his order, the angels who only had 1, 2, and 3 pairs of wings began to avoid getting close. They attacked at range wiht magic and spears of light while angels with more fought in the melee.

This lowered casualties slightly, but not by much as the Abyss Knights were not the only fighters in Adrian's army. The Abyss Giants lept into the melee with their giant axes cutting angels apart in a brutal fashion.

Adrian watched with a careful eye over the battle as he was using this as a way to learn about his own Demons. Rexam did the same as he watched on with the eyes of a general. Each Demon seemed to know what those around it were thinking as they were all connected through the Abyss Fire that filed their new life.

As such, they fought as a unified force that always knew what to do. The Demon Archers at the back fire arrow after arrow while mages cast dark spells.

"You did a good job old man."

Amara clapped at the sight of her master's loyal legions.

"Most impressive."

Adrian raised his hand and waved forward as his mounted demons charged into the sky with their glaives and halberds in hand. Their demonic horses were just as deadly as their rides as both fought in brutal unison causing severe casualties among the angels.

"Yes, my first two legions are doing well."

Baraqiel and Lord Vassago watched the brutal sight and knew that if they had fought Adrian they would suffer the same fate. Baraqiel hoped that Azazel choose right as, from the look of it, the Soul Lord knew what he was doing.

Still, even Adrian's Demons were suffering casualties slowly. Each time they fell in battle they were taken into Adrian's shadow to recover. That was acceptable because as long as the soul lived he could bring them back.

'Not bad at all.'

Just then the leading Cadre charged down with his holy sword clad in holy and Light magic. He charged at an Abyss Giant that had been rampaging among his army. He came down like a blinding figure as he slashed down with his sword.

The giant swung both of its axes toward the angel wiht a mad roar. Even then the Cadre was not fighting alone as from the sky Spears of Light fell like rain. To support it, Abyss Mages raised their staffs to the sky to return fire to help their brethren.

The Cadre slipped between the axes and slashed through the dark armor of the giant. The black burning blood that spilled from the wound made him warry.

"Even your blood us cursed, die in the name of the lord."

The Cadre used his smaller size to move around the large giant. Each of his sword slashes spilled dark blood until he took the thing's head. When the giant body of the Abyss Giant fell to the ground he stood over it with renewed hope.

That actually caused the Demons to stop as they were not mindless. They watched as one of their own fell without fear or worry, but with boiling rage. Just as they were going to charge in with renewed vigor, one stepped forward.

The leading Angel looked at this demon that was larger than the other Abyss Knights that it led. Adrian had made this one from the body of Ornstein and 3 Black Knights. The soul was made from 10 Black Knights to be able to bring it back.

Unlike others of its kind, it only had two arms. It aimed its giant spear at the Angel and spoke.

"Face me."

Hearing it speak was not unexpected for Adrian. They were still sentient beings and this one was special. Rexam gave it a closer look with a watchful eye.

"So, your general wants a one-on-one. Will you allow it old man?"

Adrian gave the nod. He respected this tradition as he himself liked it.

"A warrior should respect a challenge. If the Angel accepts that is."

Adrian watched the Angel who aimed his holy sword at this particular Demon.

"I accept your challenge demon."

The Angels backed away as they reorganized themselves while the Demons did the same. They watched as the dual between the Generals was about to begin.

"Do you have a name, demon?"

The Demon aimed his massive spear at the angel and answered.

"I have yet to receive one, what is yours?"

"I am Benedek."

The Demon grunted when he heard it.

"Then I shall take yours for my own once you are dead."

He began to crackle in powerful Lightning instead of Abyss Fire.

"YOU MAY TRY!"

Both charged at the other as they clashed in their duel. All the while Adrian watched with curiosity as his test had gone well.
