Atticus walked over to Brodin as the entire church began to be filled by the people of the Town, holding a chalice in his hand.
Nearly everyone from the town was walking inside the church, crowding around them as they had neutral, yet peaceful, looks on their faces. They didn't seem to react to anything that was in front of them; the red magic circles around the altar that was in front of them, the candles lit up around them, and the odd glowing red crystal at the top of the altar.
"There is something you should know, old friend." Atticus said, "Why is this place so special? I bet you're wondering."
Brodin, who was still chained to the ground with spectral chains, "I..." He said, "I really wasn't."
