Crimson Curtain

*Written well before current events with the pandemic. This a draft I’m publishing while I’m having trouble writing. It was dedicated to my deceased grandmother. *** Maverick is trying to escape fate and the devil of a past proverbially on his shoulder. He joins the Vigilantes under mysterious circumstances and at a pivotal time in the League’s war with the Legion. Years ago the world was rocked by a non-lethal disease that erased the mental functions of the Infected. Confusion fueled violence usually followed. Society is now divided by normal people, the previously infected and now those who have superpowers; side-effects of a vaccine only the elite could afford. Follow Maverick as he leads his team and learns his way around this military academy.
