Although it was wrapped up, Edward had no intention of disbanding the crew, as there might be a TV version to shoot next. It would be a pity to disband the team that had been built up so painstakingly.
Under such circumstances, after the filming, Edward gathered everyone together and announced the news of a celebration banquet for the completion of the theater version of "KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World."
Before anyone could express their excitement, Edward announced another astonishing piece of news: he would hold a screening of the theater version during the celebration banquet.
As a tradition from another world, after a film is completed, there would usually be a celebration banquet, followed by a screening or premiere once the film was ready.
In this world, due to the lack of post-production capabilities, once filming was completed, it was almost equivalent to a finished film. Thus, Edward decided to combine the celebration banquet and the screening directly on the same evening.
Since "KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World" had a light-hearted plot, which was quite cheerful, it was suitable to be played during the banquet to enhance the atmosphere. Therefore, Edward made this decision.
Upon hearing this news, even before the actors could show their embarrassed yet subtle expressions, the rest of the people showed considerable excitement and expressed their expectations for the movie. Lawrence even asked Edward if he could bring his orc girl from home to the celebration banquet to watch, which naturally received Edward's approval.
Finally, with everyone happily heading back to tidy up their things, the filming scene was left with only Edward. At this moment, Edward held a long list of personnel in his hand, containing the names of the actors, producers, Lawrence's monster shop that provided monsters, and Viz, who handled the music.
Since the image crystal had dual tracks, and they couldn't do post-production, it seemed that the only way to include the personnel list in the film was to directly film the list. Although it was less expressive than the scrolling credits from the other world, it was at least acceptable.
Looking at the names of Belldia and Viz on the personnel list, Edward suddenly seemed hesitant. After all, these two were directly wanted elsewhere, and although this was the South, if something went wrong...
"It seems I'll have to find Grand Duke Viktor later. If the Southern Territory Grand Duke is willing to intervene, even the Church and the Knights can't do much."
Muttering to himself, Edward continued to look at the personnel list, and then involuntarily burst into laughter, because a long string of names written behind were all his own.
However, regardless of whether it was directing, planning, scriptwriting, setting, cinematography, editing, or filming itself, Edward had put in a lot of effort. At a time like this, he wouldn't hesitate to write his own name.
After completing some simple post-production work, the production of the live-action theater version of "KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World" was declared completely finished.
...
Nighttime, in the Adventurer's Guild of Nosrick.
Facing the many eyes below, Edward walked up to a white wall specially cleared of any obstructions, holding a crystal of noticeably different material.
After infusing it with magic, the images stored within the crystal appeared in mid-air. As Edward moved the crystal, the images were projected onto the relatively clean wall of the Adventurer's Guild.
Then, as the surrounding lights dimmed as per Edward's request, the cinema screen, a luxury only available on Earth, appeared in the Adventurer's Guild of this otherworldly realm.
Adjusting the position of the image crystal, Edward slowly fixed it in place and then moved to the makeshift audience seats in the hall of the Adventurer's Guild.
At this moment, all the adventurers who had participated in the performance, even the extras, had gathered for the screening. Since they had all acted as extras at some point and Edward hadn't paid them, he decided to let them all attend this precious screening, which would also allow him to explain to them what exactly the previous filming was about.
Inside the guild hall, many tables were arranged along the walls on both sides, forming a dedicated seating area for the audience. Undoubtedly, this seating arrangement was devised by Edward himself. After all, this was a screening, and if these adventurers were allowed to sit randomly, the back rows would easily be blocked by those in front, causing both viewing issues and potential chaos.
He didn't want to see a bunch of rough guys crowding towards the screen, creating a scene reminiscent of a cult gathering, although Edward had often seen such situations when watching movies in the square during his previous life.
At the same time, the main reason these adventurers were maintaining discipline was because they already knew of Edward's identity as a Grand Mage.
While ordinary adventurers might not care about nobility or aristocracy, they would give the highest respect to true powerhouses. Therefore, even if they didn't know what the so-called screening was about, they were still trying to maintain discipline as much as possible, whispering to each other about what would happen next while watching the wall gradually forming images.
In the 'audience seats,' sitting in the front row were naturally Edward, Winry, and many lead actors, as well as Lawrence and the orc girl he adopted.
The Headless Horseman didn't have a seat prepared for him due to his overly tall stature, but he didn't need one anyway. He simply lay on the ground like a corpse, with his head placed in the appropriate position by Viz, allowing him to watch the perfect picture in the most comfortable manner.
His carefree appearance made those around who knew his situation envy him for a while.
After Edward sat down, Winry beside him spoke up, "Lord Edward, why choose the Adventurer's Guild? I originally thought the celebration banquet would be held at a tavern..."
To Winry's question, Edward just smiled faintly and said, "I originally planned to book a tavern, but then the manager of the Adventurer's Guild suddenly found me and discussed the broadcasting rights with me. After finalizing the deal, they decided to lend us the guild's venue."
"Broadcasting rights? What does that mean?"
To Helena's confusion, Edward just showed a mysterious smile and shook his head. "We'll talk about that later. By the way, Helena, what are your plans next? You won't be going back to the Mage Tower temporarily, right?"
"Well, even if I go back, I won't be able to earn enough credits. It's better to delay the inevitable expulsion by staying with you for a while."
Seeing that the film was about to start, Edward replied without much thought, "I see, alright, let's get ready to watch the movie."
Aya, sitting in the distance, also prepared to watch the show while she enjoyed the snacks provided by the Adventurer's Guild for free. Due to some kind of deal reached privately with Edward, the Adventurer's Guild was very generous in offering free drinks today. Therefore, not only Aya but also most adventurers were happily enjoying themselves at this moment.
Likewise, they did not ignore the movie being played over there. Facing this new film and television experience, this group of adventurers were showing unprecedented curiosity and anticipation, and even almost forgot what they were doing.
