Hestia Familia | Unexpected

Kai waiting for goddess Hestia and her one and only Familia member Bell to arrive was having a talk to Tessa about various things but most of the ideal talk converge to the Familia they're joining in.

"I hope Bell isn't the same as the other guys." – Tessa said, a bit worried.

"I am sure he is not like that." – I replied.

"How so sir Kai? We haven't meet him before or did we?"

Tessa had long grown accustomed to Kai's mysteriousness and enigmatic behavior so she ignored random stuff and got straight to the point.

Of course I will know Bell because he is the main character of this world.

This world before it became real.

Or it's the other way around.

My head hurts thinking about this.

My inner thoughts were chaotic but on the outside I was still able to maintain a poker face.

I gave Tessa a smile and she understood that I don't have plans of answering her question so she just pouted looking elsewhere and began acting childish completely ignoring me.

Hestia accompanied by Bell arrived at the guild.

The moment they entered though they were greeted by Eina.

Hestia did not know Eina so she was suspicious.

"Good morning miss Eina." – Bell approached Eina and with a big smile he greeted her.

He then looks back to his goddess.

"Goddess, this is miss Eina she is my personal advisor." – Bell said with a blush which Hestia quickly picked up as she raised her eyebrows.

Hestia then began scrutinizing Eina from top to bottom trying to find anything that she herself did not know.

This intense scrutiny lasted for about a minute before Eina awkwardly faked a cough to bring back Hestia.

Eina knew that gods had their own unique quirks of their own so she just let Hestia do as she pleased.

"Um, Good morning goddess Hestia, I am Eina Tulle by the way." – Eina introduces herself trying to maintain her professional demeanor.

"Good morning to you miss Tulle, I am Hestia the patron goddess of Hestia Familia." – Hestia also introduced herself to Eina.

"You two should be here to officially finalize your Familia right!" – Eina said.

"Yes, miss Eina." – Bell said.

Hestia nodded.

"Before you register, I want to borrow a bit of your time." – Eina said looking straight at Hestia.

"Me…?" – Hestia asked.

Eina nodded.

"Bell can also come because this might be a turning point for your Familia…" – Eina said.

Hearing Eina's words Hestia developed a serious look on her face.

"Then please lead the way miss Tulle."

Eina then guided the two to the private room occupied by Kai and Tessa.

Kai sensing people approaching the door from the opposite side shifted his gaze at the door.

Tessa noticing his behavior also looked at the door.

The door opened and a familiar face came first, it was Eina and behind her were two personages.

Looking at the two personages trailing behind Eina, Kai tried to maintain an amicable smile but on the inside he was very shocked.

Not because he is meeting a person he thought of as nothing but a fictional character before but due to the blood resonance he is feeling coming from Bell.

Bell's eyes also shifted to Kai feeling the same feeling what Kai is experiencing.

Kai subconsciously thought.

He stood, no one was able to follow his movements as he appeared in front of Bell before anyone could react.

Finally reacting to Kai's sudden action Hestia, Eina and Tessa look at the two man staring intensely at each other.

The two have this complicated look on their faces.

The girls were about to speak up when…

"Cousin…"

Kai and Bell said in unison.

The three girls look at the two confused.

It took time before they could process the words the two boys just said in unison and when they did their already shocked faces became more apparent, mouths open wide.

Now that they look at the two boys they certainly look a bit alike in some angles.

The major difference is that Kai's beauty reached and even surpassed the level of gods of beauty but if one look closely and for those that possess great discerning eyes they can see huge similarities between the two guys.

"What just happened?" – Kai and Bell said in unison once again as they snapped out from their stupor.

Realizing that something had happened to the two the three girls quickly came over to them.

"Kai, what happened?" – Tessa grabbed him on the shoulders as she asked in worry.

"Bell, are you ok?" – Hestia asked also worried.

"Both of you what was that just now?" – Eina was more curious than worried.

She also recall Kai's movement that cannot be followed by the naked eye of a normal person.

'It's he a Falna less person?'

The room turned chaotic as questions bombarded the two boys.

/10 minutes later./

"Have you guys calmed?" – Kai asked the trio.

"Yes…" – Tessa said.

"Yes…" – Eina said.

"Yes…" – Hestia said.

"So your saying that you felt a very familiar sensation and the word (kin) just surfaced in your head, then when you approached Bell the word (kin) turned into (cousin)." – Eina asked.

"Yes I also experience the same thing." – Bell a blush on his face looking at Kai.

'Bro I don't swing that way.' – Kai thought.

"So do you two still feel the same feeling and voice in your head?" – Hestia asked.

Both Bell and Kai nodded.

"The feeling and the voice is still in my head but as the time passes by the voice's volume is slowly decreasing as for the feeling it did not change in the slightest." – Kai said, looking at Bell with a complicated expression.

'Damn, it seems that our destiny is intertwined by bloodline, but isn't my parents slaves!'

'The more reason I need to rescue my parents from that slave farm, are they even my parents, is Bell's parents also slaves?'

'Ugh, my head hurts, this is getting complicated.'

'Well, at least this way I have more reason to guide and guard this fella from doing anything reckless like in the first episode of the anime and what's with that transparent soul of his.'

'Either way my mere presence already change the entire story, or is this world even the same as in the anime, I don't want to think about it anymore, such complicated things that doesn't have answers will just add to my headache.'

"You two are strange…" – Eina muttered.

"Ugh, nevermind that and this even if you two are cousins or something else nothing really changes, right."

"So, you wish to join our Familia? Are you fine with a goddess like me?" – Hestia asked a bit of concern and anticipation.

"NO…" – Kai replied flatly without much of a hesitation.

"…" – Tessa was stunned.

"…" – Eina was confused.

"…" – Bell was dejected.

"…" – Hestia's expression immediately crumble.

Waiting for their reactions Kai smiled.

"We would like to join your Familia."

He grabbed Tessa on the shoulder as he looked straight at Hestia in the eyes.

Hestia immediately understood what he meant.

Her previous question was only directed to Kai so he refused because they were two of them that wanted to become part of her Familia.

Her mood quickly had a 180 degree shift, a bright smile emerging on her gentle face accompanied by tear drops that trail on her cute cheeks.

/Sniff/ /Sniff/

'Finally my familia is growing.' – Hestia thought hugging Bell beside her.

"K-kami-sama!" – Bell panic from Hestia's sudden embraced.

Kai walked towards Hestia only stopping a meter in front of her, due to their height differences he knelt on leg before her, pulling out a handkerchief out of thin air he then started to clean the trail marks of her tears.

"Goddess, someone as beautiful and cute as you shouldn't cry it ruins your beauty."

Kai said in the most amicable and gentle smile he could master, earning a blush from Hestia, an awkward raised eyebrow from Tessa, a squeal from Bell, and a nose bleed from Eina.

In Eina's eyes Kai look like a charming prince surrounded by blooming red and blue roses trying to console a crying princess.

'Bell my cousin, didn't you came to Orario to pick up girls, why were you acting as if you wanted to be pick up instead.' – Kai look at the squealing and blushing guy that certainly can make other men questions if they were really straight.

'Oh, you've been silent for a long time, what happened? I've miss you, you know.'
