"What kind of pain are you talking about?" Ling asked with a crease between his brows. He glanced at Seth to ascertain what Ruby was talking about. Ling's eyes widened when he saw what was on Seth's skin.

"What is the matter?" Ruby asked before she replied to the question he had asked. She noticed the look of shock and dread on the wizard's face and it made her heart beat faster in her chest. She placed a hand on Ling's shoulder and she squeezed a little, urging him to speak with her. She had gotten Seth back and could only wish that everything was alright with him. Ruby didn't feel like she could bear any more bad news that night. She had not even processed the death of Anthony so her ears were filled with her voice praying that there would be no bad news from Ling.
