Commitment With The Devil

{WARNING - MATURE CONTENT} "What is your wish?" Gazing into his violet eyes, I ask. Inside deep down, hopes grow. Please don't be something off the line. I can't handle such things like that. It is against will. "There is a massage I want to try out" Zander voices and takes his hands back. I finally get to escape the tight embrace. "Get in the car. There is a place I know" Turning around, I begin to walk away. Yet, his strong arm holds me back. He forces me to face him. What again? "We are not going out, miss independent" He grins. Alone with the evil smile, I can sense the mess he will cause with requests. "I don't know how to massage" A frown displays across my face. I really don't. He should just walk out of my house. "Who says you have to?" Zander raises his right brow. And I quiet down. No fucking way. "I am the one who is going to massage you... your breasts" The last two words he continues, feel like a lightning striking me in the middle of summer day. I knew this devil would ask for such sensual things! "No. Pick another wish. I am not permitting stuff like that" I instruct. Attempting to shove the man's grip away from my arm. "Don't you recall my statement, darling? You are not allowed to decline either" He brags. Of course, I am aware. But seriously? I have had sex for a few times only in my entire life with all the men I wasted my extra time on. I don't find the contentment in that area. "I am getting impatient, love. Let's commence already" Zander flashes his dimple smile. Picking me up in bridal way which catches me off guard. "Put me down!" With the strength I gained before, I try to get away. But still, he won't let me. "Don't move. Otherwise, I might end up doing much more worse thing than the massage to you" The whisper hushes me down. He is a devil, the type to do as his words. I better remain calm. There will be a chance for me to slip through this situation. Yes, I have to wait. "Good girl..." He grins down at me once I cease struggling. Jerk. His steps enter my bedroom. And he places me on the bed. "Strip now" He orders. His hand already has the oil bottle to begin the massage. He is really quick with everything. What should I do? "Come on, my gorgeous" He whines like a child begging for the sweet candy. "Are you certain this is only a massage?" I shoot a slight glare. Maybe it is fine to enjoy this. Also been a long time since I have spent a night with a man. I guess there is nothing to concern to have some fun with this devil. It is not like I can run away. "I would never lie to you" Zander assures. Well, I don't see anything wrong with these wishes. There are no feelings involved as well. I can use him for fun. Right. Think in positive way. "Are you going to observe me take the top off?" Over my query, the man's lips curve up. "Finally..." --------------- Violet Ravena, the fearsome mafia leader, was poisoned by her husband and his lover brutally. The real protectors

Oh.

Ken, once again, is shielding me. I must have to admit; Ken is the best right hand man ever. "Don't" My hand raises, in front of Ken to cease him. He is the man who would pull out the gun and shoot if he is irritated. In that case, I have to prevent him from causing things like that.

I stare through Damian's exasperated gaze. "Why would you think I would do such a thing? Dragging own clan is never my option. Only a fool like you would assume I am the one behind this" Risky. I picked this peril specifically. In return, I can cover myself with every excuse.

"Where is the evidence to prove your innocence?" Damian whispers through gritted teeth. "Let her go, Sir Damian!" Now, the polices attempt to drag this madman away. "Consider. I would never haul my clan" Convincing him is tough. But others aren't. Damian backs up.

He peers at me without any words. Somehow, his puzzled frown appears. Don't tell me I managed to play with his mind successfully. He is that easy? "Ma'am, are you all right?" Ken's voice pulls me back to reality. I nod as reply. He cares a lot more than before.

Despite the fact I am under disguise,

he treats me with care and respect.

"I have an evidence to prove my family is guiltless, Sir. May I follow as suspect?" I tilt my head. Hushing down the room. Policemen glance at each other as a man walks in from behind. "You must be Miss Verena Laurel" A voice rings. He stands across me. And I furrow brows.

"Detective Vyle" His hand comes front after introducing himself. Oh. My shot is here. Though he was exploring the mansion, there is no sight of sweat. His black hair remains neat and slicked. Are all detectives this serene at the scenes? But this detective is to be deceived.

"Pleasure" I only respond beneath a calm expression. Refusing to shake hands with him in view of the fact that he has a glove on. Not to mention the dust on the glove. "It is a bold move, Miss. You should be careful" Saying some jokes appear with a smile only.

However, this man has no beam across his face while stating a declaration. He speaks the words like a threat towards the criminals to frighten them. "Being bold is better than deceiving, Detective" I flash a smile in return. Causing his brows to raise. Is he surprised?

"I see" He murmurs.

And the room suddenly sinks into dead silence. Vyle's deep stare pierces through me like a soul taker. From the corners of my eyes, I notice the polices sweating in terror as Damian scowls. Hm. Is this detective intimidating one? Maybe? He seemed uninterested at first.

But not anymore. His eyes are gleaming with the will to dig into the case further. Guess I have to be alert around him. He might crash my plans. "Shall we go?" To break the awkwardness, I query Vyle. He nods to my question. And so I head out, followed by Damian and Ken. Bizarre.

I have yet to encounter Nesta, including Leo. The mother and son pair is missing. Nesta must be hiding in fright. Pfft. Just by thinking about it tickles me already. "Ma'am, please settle down" Vyle's voice pulls me back. We sit across each other for interrogation. "I suppose you are twins"

He flips the papers.

"What else could it be, Detective?" Crossing my legs, I lean back, hands in pockets. It is the moment, Vyle's eyes lift. "Who knows? Someone could have died and managed to live through once again by second chance" The response quiets me down. Fuck what? Is he serious?

The spot he hit is quite accurate so that I lose sentences to retort. "Are you into that reincarnation stuff?" I taunt. Playing along with his statement under a beam. He frowns. His expressions are a lot to collect but smile is nowhere to be found. "I suggest you to focus on interrogation"

At last, he alerts.

"Currently, it is difficult to discover the root of the mess. No hints to catch up with the rumor spreader as well. But the death of Violet Ravena is suspicious indeed. Your family has no criminal records but huge income from one company only which is unfeasible"

Vyle begins to explain the doubt. Makes sense. Who would believe a mere brand can bring a hundred million dollars once a week? "Are you attempting to delve into Ravena family?" This man is beating around the bushes a lot. He should ask what he wants to know from the start.

"Yes. The crime lords are being reckless in the city as you are aware. We have to shield the city from any harm" Pfft. Him? Protecting the untamable people? What a hilarious joke. Hundreds of thieves run back and forth. Many cases of rapes are occurring. And much more accidents.

What do they mean by defending? Can't they see the real protectors of the city are crime lords? We basically contact with people from other places to make this city stable by holding criminal records. The people I have killed are all guilty ones. I did right thing. We did.

And it is a fact.

"Why do you think crime lords are being impetuous?" I throw a question. "Are you interested in them?" Vyle's right brow raises. It feels as if he is trying to trap me. "Of course, I have only heard about the crime lords as tales. I wish to know more" A smile tugs at my lips to play off.

"Several deaths are happening like a ring, Miss Verena Laurel. Those dead people also have criminal records, except the guiltless members following the idiotic leaders" Vyle mocks. And I let out a chuckle. But does he know I am trying to restrain my fury? I wish to punch him.

We clearly have different point of view.

"You sound determined to capture one crime lord at least" I proclaim. Pushing a smile to tug at lips. "Yes, I admit" Vyle replies. "Weren't you also determined to rescue the Ravena family from being investigated?" The question from him tickles me. He returns with sarcasm.

It is as if he finds it pleasant to use the same card against others which they used on him. "No. It is called saving the family from baseless rumor" I assert. He, now, furrows his brows. Human nature is so simple. One trick and they are uncertain about everything.

"Three days, you have seventy two hours to prove your family's innocence" Vyle allows. Quite plenty time given. I require one day only to be honest. But well, I have to play desperate. "Do you have any suggestions, Detective?" Tilting my head, I hit him with clueless acting skills.

"Suggestions on concealing the truth?" He mocks. Boring. "Wait and see how I shield my family" I flash a smile. "We will get the results soon" Vyle concurs. "I assume this is the end of interrogation" Finally, I am free. Both of us leave, but to different ways. "What did he query?"

Damian's voice drags my attention.

He is still waiting at the parking lot with Ken to obtain the information. Great. I guess he is not that coward to run away in this kind of situation. "He offered three days to find evidences you are not involved in my sister's death" The point is direct, yet Damian seems perplexed.

"Shouldn't they be the ones investigating about rumor spreader to arrest?" He throws a question out of puzzlement. "Well, as you can see, the detective Vyle, handling the case, does not favor the idea to dig in about rumor spreader since he doubts the Ravena family more"

Isn't it simple to understand?

Why is this man questioning almost everything? It pains my heart with embarrassment to realize I nearly fell in love with a halfwit. "Fuck!" In rage, Damian shouts. "I am heading back. There is going to be works to do now that I have only three days in hands"

I open the car door. What's the point of asking permit from him to prove the innocence of family? I am Verena Laurel who is blood related. I have to show off I care enough to rescue the clan. "Wait" Damian voices. What again?! I turn around, maintaining the calm face.

"Just because I am letting you search for clues to cover the clan does not mean I am welcoming you and giving up on the gamble" The warning from him causes my lips to form into a grin. It is not out of amusement, but rather the frustration. Who the fuck is he even?

"Let me remind you one thing. You used to be my sister's husband. That's all. No one respected you as the clan leader. I am the real daughter of the Ravena. You should be glad I spared you with gamble instead of kicking your little family out" He needs to be humbled for real.

Damian's jaw clenches.

And I get inside car, leaving him there.

Before returning, I witness Ken bowing.

I nod with a smile as acknowledgement.
