Chapter 1Snowflakes

Somewhere in Alaska, Juneau.

A luxurious, captivating huge mansion stood amidst the wilderness. The mansion was overwhelmed with abundant snowflakes from top to bottom, likewise the Rolls-Royce phantom that was at its abode.

Aside from the luxurious mansion, no other houses or building could be seen around the province, except for trees, mountains and hills that were all amalgamated in snow too.

Since it was nighttime already, everything was absolutely whelmed with black shades of hue. Quietness and emptiness emanated the place wholly. Even, one would be prompt in assuming that the place had been abandoned long ago. But it was otherwise.

Inside the luxurious mansion, in one of the rooms.

The room was completely obscure and gloomy. There appears to be no source of lights in the room. The room was a bit spacious, but it was quite exquisite and beautiful.

A bed was placed in the middle of the room, a large bed to be precised.

On the large bed, a lady was layed atop it delicately.

Her eyes were closed firmly. her head was coalesced with a white bandage, and some sides of the bandage was stained with red blood. Her black hair were tucked behind her ears.

Suddenly, she sneezed!

Flickering her eyelashes once, Flower Thompson haggardly opened her eyes. As soon as that was done, they met with nothing but absolutely darkness.

'Huh…where am I…?' Flower contemplated inwardly. 'Am I dead yet? Is this what heaven looks like? Or perhaps... I'm in hell?!'

At the thought of that, she gasped, and a sudden feeling of dread conflated her.

Although, Flower wasn't a type of person who has lived a sinful life, or even ever had any bad intentions against others. There were still chances that she must have offended some certain people unknowingly, which could have led her to a tormenting place like hell.

She had always wished for a long and happy life since when she was a teenager, now all her dreams were shattered in just minutes.

'My head hurts badly. My body aches so much,' she attempted to move her body. But for some reasons her body refuse to heed to her commands. She halted in one place as though she has been frozen a long time ago. Flower couldn't even move her hands talkless of getting up from where she was situated.

Her body ached uncontrollably, this was the most excruciating anguish she had ever felt in all her years of living. It ached painfully and disturbingly.

She gritted her teeth in agony, as the painful feeling she was experiencing was taking an extreme toll on her.

She blinked continuously, still trying to assimilate everything that was going on.

Closing her eyes. She reminisced back to the last thing that eventuate before meeting herself in this gloomy room with zero source of lights.

Flower could remember that she was in an helicopter with two of her colleagues, namely, Amanda Thompson and Julius Christopher. Amanda was her sister, while Julius was her fiancé.

Originally, Flower's hometown was in Florida, Tallahassee. She was birthed and raised up there with her only sister Amanda. Julius on the contrary wasn't birthed in Alaska, instead he was birthed in England. But most of his childhood lifetime were spent in Alaska with his grandparents.

The three of them were best friends and famous wildlife reporters. They all studied in the same school, from when they were still teenagers till when they were now adults. This particular project which brought them to Alaska was a very big and favourable project which could change there lives, definitely for the better and not for the worst. At least this was what they had all thought.

Flower and her colleagues accepted the project due to wanting to raise enough funds for the future ahead of them. Hopefully, with the money they recuperate from the wildlife reserve reporting project, both Flower and Julius would sponsor their wedding and live happily ever after back in Florida.

Flower could vividly remember that she was sitting at the back space of the helicopter with Amanda, while Julius was the one operating it.

All along they had been chatting and making jests of eachothers from the starting of the journey. They had brought, cameras, drones, tablets, microphones, speaker and every other thing they felt that they would need for the wildlife reserve report.

Since it was such a long and exhaustive trip, it wouldn't be deemed right or fair to leave behind things that are important. The project was going to be taking them six months, so they weren't going to be traveling back any soon.

On their way. The last minutes before tragedy strucked them all.

Flower's head was layed at the edge of the seat. An headphone was well situated on her ears, she was listening to music with a closed eyes. She had done this because she was a little bit afraid of heights. Listening to music was the only way to overcome the fear.

Then out of the bloom!

She began to hear loud roops from her surroundings. On the first attempt of the scream, she had thought that perhaps they were just laughing. Or perhaps, it was the vibrating sounds which was coming from the helicopter that was getting louder.

She wasn't agile in assuming that something was wrong.

But then, the loud screams became louder. It became louder to the extent that it was overwhelming the sounds of the music she was listening to.

Flower uplifted the headphone away from her ears. Then she opened her eyes rapidly. This was when reality started to dawn on her that the helicopter had malfunctioned.

She could see Julius sweating amidst the crucial bone-chilling brumal weather. He was unfathomably panicking and palpitating. Doing his best to get everything back under his controls again.

While Amanda kept screaming out of profound sensation of dread. Flower had known Amanda for a very long time, therefore she knew that Amanda would only scream in dread when she knew that they were all doomed.

All that Flower could manage to remember from that moment onwards, was that the helicopter tumbled truculently, and after that she couldn't really remember anything else. Perhaps, this was when she died.

After reminiscing back to the incident, she broke down in tears.

Her heart palpitated in bereavement. Flower couldn't help but regret her decision in coming to Alaska, it was all her fault for not rapidly heeding to the warnings her body was giving to her.

The day the wildlife deal was finalized, Flower had always felt a pang of fear developing in her heart with every seconds that drifted by.

Sometimes, whenever she thought about the deal and how incredibly it would change her live and create a good life for her, she would then suddenly be merged in goosebumps all through.

This was a sign which she should have heeded to, a long time ago. The sign was indicating to her that danger was on the way and nearer to them.

Nevertheless, it was basicallly too late now, thousands years of dreams had been shattered unyieldingly.

Flower didn't know when she began to shed tears. All that she could feel was that fresh warm liquids were tumbling down from her eyes ferociously.

"It's all my fault," She lamented. "I'm sorry Julius, I'm sorry Amanda. Mom and Dad I'm sorry. I love you all so much, I would never have thought that we would be separated from eachother so soon."

Flower's body kept quivering.

She panted profusely.

"I'm... I'm sorry. I had always wished for long life. How could this have happened?" Flower uttered, gritting her teeth. "Darn it!" She muttered under her breaths.

She gulped down.

So far she couldn't move, Flower could only stay there on the bed and anticipate the worst. Her aching body were violently adding to the sorrow she was welcoming.

Flower cried nonstop for hours, until she finally drifted off to sleep unknowingly.

Young master Damien's pet

"Who touched you?" he asked, his eyes brooding down at her and when she didn't answer, his voice thundered in the room, "WHO?" The butler who stood near the wall spoke shakily, "Sir, it was Mr. Reverale," Damien's face turned sour, his jaw ticking in anger he turned his face to the side where the butler stood behind. "Bring the man here." "N-now?" stuttered the butler. It was the time of night. Damien who hadn't broken his eye contact with the girl in front of him, pushed his hand against the wall which now rested beside his beautiful girl's head. Turning his body, he first looked at his butler who had his head bowed. With great courage, the butler came to meet his Master's eyes, "Do you have any other better time? Or should it be after I wring your neck?" Damien asked calmly tilting his head. Not a second later, the butler ran out of the room to return back with Mr. Reverale after twenty minutes. "Damien, are we having a late tea party?" Mr. Reverale came to greet but the master of the house had other plans. Spotting the knife that was stuck to the apple on the table, he reached for it to pull it out. Just as Mr. Reverale went to exchange a handshake with him, Damien took hold of his hand to place it on the table. In one swift movement as if he were chopping onions, he chopped the four fingers of the man off his hand making him yelp and cry in pain. "No one touches what is mine. I am sure this will remind you the next time you even think about touching her," sighed Damien as if he were tired of telling people to keep their dirty hands off his belongings. The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system

[Sweet, satisfying, pampering, lots of face slapping.] Zhang Caishen's era had come to an end and he could never rise again, or so they said. But why did he seem to be getting richer and more powerful even if he was now crippled and abandoned by his betrothed? Why was he suddenly so unnaturally lucky? The answer was simple; his new wife!! Lin Alix was not lucky when it came to her family. She was the older, less loved and less talented one in comparison to her younger sister who stole everything from her. But fate intervened and she got lucky when it came to a husband, not only was he wealthy but he loved to spoil her. Suggested by her infinite luck gaming system, Alix married her sister's unwanted crippled husband to be and stepped on the path of a winner in life. She swept up music awards, gained international recognition and got her revenge on her cruel family while becoming Beijing's most envious wife. "Are you crazy, you willingly married a crippled man?" her friends asked. "Yes, but have you seen how much he pampers me?" she asked in turn. "She will cheat on him, he is a cripple and he can't perform his husbandly duties." others gossiped. Alix looked at the so called crippled man who climbed into her bed night after night and laughed. Sorry, he was more than capable. "Honey, I am here to perform my husbandly duties." he would always say coquettishly when he flipped her over.
