Chapter 84 I Have a Car

Basil Jaak dropped Yetta Astir off at the entrance of her neighborhood.

Yetta Astir opened the car door, stepping one foot onto the ground, and turned her head to ask Basil Jaak, "Do you want to come to my place for a bit?"

Basil Jaak initially wanted to refuse, but suddenly his phone started ringing. He took it out and saw it was Dawn Sutton calling, so he had no choice but to apologize to Yetta Astir, "I need to take a call."

"Hello, Basil Jaak?" Dawn Sutton shouted over the phone.

"It's me!" Basil Jaak responded.

"Can you come pick me up? I'll send you the address by text. It's too noisy here to explain clearly," Dawn Sutton quickly instructed before hanging up the phone. Judging by the noise in the background, she must have been at a bar.

Basil Jaak put his phone back in his pocket and, with an embarrassed smile, said to Yetta Astir, "I have to pick up a friend, so I won't come over."

"A girl?" Yetta Astir asked.

Basil Jaak was momentarily taken aback but nodded lightly.
