The old man's speech made Basil Jaak reevaluate him completely.
If Basil had been half doubtful of the old man's words before, now, the medical skills he displayed at least earned him a considerable amount of respect from Basil Jaak. Just by massaging and kneading the body for a minute, he was able to numb all sensory organs—impressive!
"Now do you believe me?" the old man boasted smugly.
"Sealing off a person's sensory organs, if not undone within half an hour, could at best cause partial issues, or at worst, render all senses useless, turning them into a complete vegetable," the old man continued.
"Damn, then hurry up and undo it, I don't want to turn into a vegetable!" Basil Jaak shouted in his heart, but he couldn't make any sound as his mouth wouldn't move.
The old man seemed to sense Basil Jaak's worry and said with a smile, "Now you realize how formidable Cultivators are, right? We can easily ruin a person."
