Chapter 172: Buying a Dress

After a simple lunch, the four of them, led by Xenia Wendleton, set out with Basil Jaak and Dawn Sutton to explore the streets.

Since formal attire was mandatory for Fiona Turner's birthday party, Xenia first took Basil and Dawn to a large department store specifically to pick out formal wear for them.

Men's clothing was always easier to deal with. Xenia grabbed a black suit off the rack for Basil to try on, and after evaluating it from all angles and finding no issues, she decided on this black suit.

Choosing a dress for Dawn proved to be more troublesome.

Because Dawn was rather slim and not particularly busty, a few dresses were tried but none were satisfying.

It wasn't until the shop owner pulled a sky-blue, floor-length, form-fitting gown off the rack that Xenia's eyes lit up. She quickly gestured for Dawn to go into the fitting room to try it on.

Dawn, quite compliant with Xenia's suggestions, shyly took the dress and entered the changing room.
