Chosen By The Ancient One

I was being on death row, in a maximal security prison waiting for the day of my execution after murdering 17 people, I felt nothing but emptiness when ever I killed someone,I Mara Walker was always empty without actual desires, it was an innate urge that I couldn't resist it was keeping me alive, I had to satisfy it at all cost, but now I'm alone in a cell all alone waiting for the end of my life.

Soon alarming sounds could be heard echoing through the entire building, all the guards has ran away leaving everything and everyone behind, but running was pointless because soon an even louder sound could be heard something was falling towards the earth in an incredibly high speed, soon it landed with a bang, than a devastating explosion blasted everything into pieces.

I survived the explosion God knows how but I survived, yet I didn't have a long time left to live my lower half was completely ripped of and the blood was dripping out extremely fast within 3 minutes I will be completely dead.

It was at that moment when I saw an enormous creature walking towards me, the earth was trembling nonstop as it was walking, it seemed to be somewhat lost, as it got closer I caught it's eye and we were looking at each other silently, than it came next to me and said, - "Interesting I truly never expected to find another one this fast!" It's seemed to me that it was elated with joy it cut open it's leg with it's razor sharp claws and a drop of blood fallen on me, the wound than disappeared without a trace and it talked yet again, - "So this plane doesn't have any Essence, what a strange place... Well little one thanks to you I won't have to waste time here, we might see each other again sooner than you would expect!"

The creature form blurred and disappeared just like that, I was still laying on the ground bathing inside it's blood, soon it was like the blood came to life I stopped bleeding out, about 5 minutes later my legs has started to regenerate and 10 minutes later I was as good as new, but something was strange I was much stronger that before, I easily punched a hole in the wall, as I did only my bone remained on my arm the rest of the skin and flesh has been torn of by the impact, I didn't feel anything, no pain I was simply staring at my hand as it has slowly regenerated.

I started walking in straight line, I wanted to reach civilization, I wanted to eat, the only thing that I had in my that I had to eat, Now eating was everything for me, if I couldn't find food in the next 30 minutes I will be going mad, as Mara was thinking a voice sounded from behind, there was a man standing behind her in full military armor, but all she could see was meat.

The soldier has let out a horrified scream when Mara ripped of his arm and started munching on it as it was perfectly normal, the soldier took out his Firearm and started firing at the mad woman, but to his shock even after destroying her head, and severing one of her arms she continued to eat, after finishing her meal Mara broke the soldier neck and picked up the body together with her previously severed arm and went inside the nearby building to peacefully consume them.

Moments later the house was surrounded with soldiers and tanks, what Mara didn't notice that there was a camera on the soldier head, but even if she did notice it wouldn't have changed anything she was still hungry, she had to eat more much more, it was a happy occasion since the food that she desperately needed came to her doorstep.

Than a voice sounded inside Mara head, - "I see, you already gotten used to being an Eternal, I can also feel your hunger!" Shocked Mara looked around inside the room but she couldn't see anyone, - "Silly, I'm a part of you, or should I say your a part of me."

What do you want from me? You are better, stronger and faster than me! Why are you even inside me?

"Feelings, Experiences That a Person lives through that's what I need from you, in return I granted you Eternal power, no matter what happens you cannot die, my blood runs through your veins and my Essence is attached to your soul, for these powers all I'm asking from you to live your life" Am I dead? "No, your neither dead nor alive, you are exiting in between the two, Anyway farewell little one I have things to do.." after the voice faded the military started to approach the building.

They threw an awful lot of explosives inside the building after 10 minuteos of constant bombardment only a piece of Mara fingernail remained intact, after the military confirmed the death they started to secure the surroundings and put the fingernail into a container filled with liquid nitrogen in hopes of stopping the regeneration process, after sealing the container they headed towards their base in an alarming phase, the regeneration has been slowed down greatly but it didn't stop, started from the fingernail Mara finger than arm has regrown, yet there was no sign of life just yet.

1 hour later the special task force, left the container inside a isolated reinforced room, at 1 hour 30 minutes mara arm has broken out of the sealed container and continued it's growth, 4 hours later Mara body fully regenerated and at the 5 hour mark her consciousness also returned.
