Melody changed

My name is Park Gae-un, a 22-year-old woman that has fallen into office work hell. I work very early, starting from 6 and my shift ends at 10 pm. I was on my way home, trying to contact my boyfriend whom I have dated for 5 years already. I worked extra hard today to come home early for our 5th year anniversary.

I knocked on the door. No response. I knocked on it several times but still no response. I then opened it using my spare key. My guts told me to take a look at our bedroom, I followed my gut and took a peak inside, only to find my boyfriend, shirtless on the bed with a random girl who was cuddling with him.

I was furious, I wanted to stab them one by one however I composed myself. I went to the kitchen to get the kettle and poured it into a basin. I then poured it all over our bed causing them to wake up screaming in pain.

My boyfriend tried to calm me down and tried to explain what happened, however, I could not hear him due to my anger and partly because of me screaming at them I cursed at them and yelled to leave or else I'll call the cops. I took all his clothes and burnt them outside of our apartment while still cursing at them. I took all of his electronics which I bought for him and drowned them in the bathtub before pouring gasoline on them and lighting it on fire, before throwing them out the window.

I sat down crying my eyes out and wondering what went wrong, what did I lack, and what did i do to deserve such treatment. I finally calmed down when I heard a notification on my phone, it notified me that 'Save me My Duke' my favorite novel has updated its last chapter. I have been following this novel ever since the author released its first-ever chapters. I calmed down and quickly read the chapter.

After a few minutes, I sighed, the novel ended in a happy ending, I wondered when I'd be able to experience having my own happy ending. I laid down on my sofa in agony, I slowly closed my eyes to rest.

I was woken up by a series of shouts and cries from people near me.

What- Just then a man's voice can be heard.

"Hmph, you're still acting, Melody? Let me tell you now, Father will still refuse to see you even if you're at death's door! So stop pretending you, insolent child!"

Pretending? What. Who talks to someone like that? Wait... Melody?.. That name is very familiar...

Melody Symphony, although was born with a golden spoon in her mouth since she was the only daughter of Marquis Symphony, she was raised without ever feeling the warm love of her cold father. She spent her days either locked away alone or sometimes bullied by her so-called "brothers" Due to this, she grew up spoiled and stubborn and would get whatever she wanted as long as she stays away from her father, the Marquis.
