Markers
In the annals of time, there exist a breed of individuals known as Markers, who bear the indelible imprint of supernatural abilities. These powers, as ancient as magic itself, resonate within these Markers, offering them untold potential that teeters on the brink of cataclysmic destruction. Some are born with this arcane birthmark, while others acquire it, and yet, certain conditions may prevent some from ever receiving the mark.
Markers fall into two categories: the Zó and the Neí. The Zó Markers bear the distinctive sign in their eyes, a haunting reminder of their power. On the other hand, the Neí Markers carry their mark as a body-altering tattoo. Both types align with the varying degrees of magic, yet their powers are not learned, but rather serve as a multiplier of inherent abilities. To bear such a mark is to be labeled a Marker, a declaration of potential danger.
In a realm where magic pulses through every vein of existence, ignorance of such power is a folly. The way these Markers perceive the world can lead to creation or annihilation in equal measure.
