[You shouldn't have played that game, Master] "Just shut up, Crucifix!" Elena Hartley, an AI Engineer, played a suspicious game until she breathed her last breath in her bathroom. Waking up in the body of Meliora, a character she hated in the game, she knew she was done for. Meliora, an abandoned princess, finally gets the opportunity to see the outside world but is sent to the enemy kingdom to participate in the king's concubine selection. Elena, now Meliora, with her AI robot by her side, must do everything she can to survive until she finds a way back to her world. After meeting the king, who disguised himself as the king's personal knight to help her, will she accept her fate and embrace a love she has never experienced before, or will she find a way to return to her world?
Unsettling Memories
"Crucifix?" Meliora called out as she found herself in a dark and space, absolutely dark that she couldn't even make out herself.
Her body trembled with the thought that she was in an enclosed space where no one was there, no crucifix, no games, no new world. No new mission.
She did in fact feel like she was back to being Elena, the abandoned daughter. The one who had all the brain the world needed yet she was casted aside because of misplaced judgement.
She clutched the garment she wore only to feel that it was a white hospital gown, one she swore to herself she wouldn't wear again.
"Crucifix, I am scared..." Her voice came out as a squeak, urgent and pleading, trembling as she took steady steps forward, it was a smooth ground yet she didn't know where she was because everywhere was dark.
Her body felt itchy, she felt worse, 'Everything was going fine... So why...' A sob broke out of her lips, as she suddenly tumbled and fell flat on the floor.
