Chapter 1Being Left at the Alter

It was supposed to be the most glorious day of her life. Instead, it was the most gloomy day she had ever experienced. It was supposed to be her wedding day and her 'supposed to be' groom wasn't there. The woman in the pretty white dress simply sighed. She had figured that being left at the alter was her only chance in life to be important for a day. She heard their murmurs about her groom's complaints about being married to her, but she paid no attention to it.

After all, words are only those: words.

Instead of being angry and dismayed, she turned to the crowd of people and she gave them her most sincere apology about wasting their time. At her age of 17, she was very heavily mature. She didn't cause trouble for anyone and she didn't start rumors about people.

Honestly, being left behind at the alter was probably the best thing for her as she didn't want to be tied by marriage at her young age. Her groom didn't really embarrass her, but he did embarrass himself as his family had told her. The only thing he had told her was those cruel words that she didn't take to heart: "I will ruin your life so bad that you won't to be able to survive without me." Those were his only words to her and frankly, Xing Ming didn't care.

She had survived long enough without a man besides her father and grandfather. Her opinion on the marriage was kept private as she didn't want to ruin her family image. She knew that her duty was to her father and grandfather and she didn't want to ruin the family's reputation simply because she didn't agree with the decision to get marriage.

However, because she was left at the alter, no marriage union had damaged her family's reputation and thus, her own reputation was damaged greatly. However, because her ex-groom's family had thought that it was their fault for pushing the heir to get married, they decided to help cushion the blow of the damage by saying that it was their fault to the public.

Xing Ming gave the public steely stares as they gazed at her, wanting her to react, but Ming knew better. She knew that the people only wanted more gossip to spread about her name, but she wasn't going to fall for the trick. She had seen too many famous people fall for the same trick and it only ruined them in the end. She didn't respond to their rude comments as she didn't feel the need to. Her words would get twisted around and the last she wants is to be called a liar.

After everyone had left, Ming went to the changing room and she slowly pulled off her wedding dress. "Hmph. This was a waste of my time." She spoke, her voice naturally cold as she slowly peeled off her dress, revealing her slim figure.

After she had put up the dress, she decided to just keep until another day comes up. As if someone would want to marry me. She thought, catching a cab home. When she got home, her grandfather greeted her, although he was angry. He wasn't angry at her because she had done her job. "He had embarrassed the family name!" He muttered angrily. Ming didn't answer because her grandfather was a man with a temper. Ming got her temper from him and her mother, but she was better at hiding it. Ming acted more like her mother, cold and unassuming, yet warm to her loved ones.

"Where's Mother?" She asked instead of commenting on her grandfather's angry rants and he froze. He knew that Ming was going to flat out ignore his angry rants, but to ask about her mother wasn't a new thing, but it was rare. The woman was always too busy to even check up on her daughter.

"She is in her office. You know how she is." He answered Ming. Ming switched her gaze to her Mother's office, which was two doors down from her room.

"Does she know?" Ming asked, making her grandfather's eyes go wide. However, it wasn't because of what Ming had asked him. It was because of someone else.

"Do I know about my daughter being left at the alter? Of course I do." The cold woman had answered Ming, but Ming didn't turn to even gaze at her. Instead, she flicked her eyes to her for a few seconds and she gazed back at her grandfather. My own mother is insufferable. Ming thought, feeling too tense to even relax around her own mother.

On the day he felt all hope was lost, his ex’s superior, General Lewis, proposed to him. "I'm not gentle and kind; my priority probably won’t be you; our compatibility may not be high; do you still want to marry me?" Ryzel questioned, fixing his gaze on the general. "It's okay, I don't need my wife to be gentle and kind. Our compatibility is also high. You can focus on your studies, job, or dreams. As long as you remember that you are my guide." “Okay, let’s get married.” ------------------------ This is the story of Ryzel's advancement in career and love life, even with all the troubles surrounding him.

OWNED BY HIM

Angelo Verde is a spy who investigates the Mafia's underground business. In the middle of an undercover operation, some unavoidable events leave him no choice but to serve Marvel Yerevan, the Mafia crime boss of one formidable Family. The taste of horrible and peculiar experiences in the underworld does not stop him from stepping deeper into the Mafia's territory, all to gain Marvel's trust. Ready to submit, even become a plaything, he will act subservient while secretly taking advantage of his position for the investigation to complete the tasks he is given. But, can he win the mission when he has never been victorious over a personal battle with the boss? EXCERPT I: "Sir, I think you need to change your clothes, or else you will catch a cold." I suggested Marvel, using his half-wet suit of rain as an excuse to get to know him better. The man in front of me was so tall and well-built, his physique exposed both strength and beauty. It wasn't out of curiosity that I patted his shoulder to sweep the wet dots away, but I wanted to create a connection with him. "If you don't mind, let me help you," I smiled. "It's my responsibility to take care of your health and serve you, so let's go to your room and change-" The coldness of fingers touching my cheek startled me, freezing up the rest of my words. Before I could develop a reaction, the artistic form of a man had turned blurry above my dilated eyes when Marvel reduced our distance. Seizing up the air I meant to breathe in, his lips contrived a way to communicate with mine without the need for words. I always asked myself, what should I do to get closer to Marvel, to step into his territory, to make him trust me? I think I know now. EXCERPT II: "It isn't that hard," Marvel convinced me, sure of it. His knuckles slithered above my cheek. "All you have to do is put it inside your mouth and just let it slide above your tongue." His words were followed by a gesture of his thumb teasing my lips until I felt it in between my teeth. Demanding access, it started to push in deeper, stroking my tongue without any sign of reluctance. When his eyes slightly narrowed to hold a smile, the steel blue marbles glimmered, and I couldn't tear my gaze away from this handsome gent in front of me. "You can do it, right?" At first, I wanted to pretend I didn't understand what Marvel was talking about, but my attempt to be indifferent might not work against someone with a character like his, knowing how much power he had, and I realized what his true intention was. I forced my mouth to open, only later did I know that those simple words would change my fate completely. "Yes, Sir."

(BL)Alpha Made

The world is diverse and flourishing. Humanity has changed, and with it, brought in a new era of prosperity. Males and females still exist, but the spectrum from which humanity is cast has broadened. It has made his life easier by being middle ground, and as much as some wish he was one way or the other, he’s happy being who he is. Thriving even. He works in a world renowned research facility. He makes friends easily, and his projects are always funded. He even found someone who he thinks he could end up marrying if things continue in the right direction. That, and the vacant house next to his apartment building gets bought by a new neighbour. A cute, but cautious omega who relies on Andrew as a beta for help. Andrew couldn’t be happier. He loves being a helper, and loves when people rely on him. All in all, Andrew really thinks he has everything made. That is, until a research project with shoddy data is thrown back into his face that he has no recollection of working on, and all of his reputation disintegrates in between one heartbeat and the next. Heartbroken, it isn’t until Andrew wakes up, chained to a wall that everything becomes clear. He becomes a test subject to one of the scientists that he trusted. That he expected would never harm him. The life he had known, where he was a respected researcher was ripped out from underneath him. His identity and everything he’s ever known is stolen from him from a crazed researcher who he had trusted, maybe even loved. He has to relearn who he is, what he is, from scratch. Thankfully, he has one person in his corner. He just never expected to have to rely on someone whose shoulders were so small. This is an a/b/o story, and will have those tropes associated with it. I hope you enjoy :)
