Bofuri: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense

Love the manga so I sought out the light novel. There was no official English translation so when I found this I was stoked!!! I wish there where more chapters but I don't know how far along the original Japanese has progressed. I will say that as far as translations go, while this one had a few formatting issues, it is still really well done and easy to read. This story is a lot of fun and for anyone who doesn't know this story has an official manga and anime as well and they are so much fun! On the story itself, it was really fun to read! The story us very light hearted and all the high stakes moments are strictly regulated to the VR game they play. Within the game there are a lot of cool and strange things that can be done and by the end if it (what we have so far) all, or almost all, named characters have their own unique abilities, items, and characteristics that set them apart from the other characters and help them stand one their own in the few chapters told from everyone else's perspective. This story isn't anything particularly unique, its yet another VR mmo story with overpowered main characters, but one thing that it does well is it makes other characters strong! Other people have huge strengths that our main characters get hurt by, or even almost die in game because of! The MC is uniquely strong and interestingly ditsy but other people get to be the ficus and have impressive skills as well! And on the note of their skills, the abilities are finite! They are not using unending power with no rules or weaknesses all day long with infinite amounts of resources. They collect items, practice skills, and have to learn to use these skills (especially later in the game). I love stories like this though so I'm a bit biased when I say I really liked this and recommend it whole heartedly, its got its issues but its a lot of fun and I think that means a lot for this kind of story.
