Entering the Dungeon

Looking at his updated Status and reading through his days adventures through his Excelia Freya looks excited not expecting such large improvements in just one day even when accounted that he was a new lv 1 adventurer, as new adventures make more progress's than older ones because everything is challenging to them allowing them to gain exelila at an accelerated pace 

"this new skill of yours looks strong, make sure to use it properly and stay safe while your in the dungeon wouldn't want my new investment to get wasted already" says Freya with the usual smile that adorns her face 

Telling Sanguinius to go to the top floor of babel when he wants his status updated they part ways, Sanguinius going to his room to get a good night of rest before his first real dive into the dungeon

The next day waking up well rested but still disturbed by his now recurring nightmare he goes to the Familia garden to pick up his gear from the armoury something not every Familia has 

After finding the armoury and picking out some basic and form fitting Armor that's composed of a light metal breastplate with greaves and some gauntlets makes him feel secure and ready for the dungeon even if its a little overkill since he's planning to just stay on the upper floors today

Picking up a short sword and placing it on his hip and a spear in hand he heads off leaving Folkvangr and moving in the direction of the guild 

Reaching there after a short journey he heads inside and registers himself in their database as a new lv 1 Freya Familia adventurer and gets assigned an advisor who happens to be the same woman he met the last time he went to the guild

"What a coincidence I didn't expect to get assigned to you" says Rose Fannett with surprise at meeting him again "I guess it worked out with Freya and your lucky to be in a top Familia but make sure to still watch out in the dungeon" says Rose with a serious expression 

Sitting down in a Private booth she starts explaining to him everything he needs to know while in the dungeon, what monsters to expect and what floors their on including their weaknesses and habits. Only after making sure that he understood everything does she let him go

Watching him leave she prays that he doesn't die like her last adventurer 

Walking from the first underground floor of babel to the first floor of the dungeon Sanguinius sees light blue coloured walls leading to a long and empty hallway also known as beginner road

Following the hallway for a couple of minutes he finally encounters his first monsters sensing a small group of Kobolds holding small sticks in their hands 

Using a combination of space magic to summon his previously stored blood and his blood manipulation to launch it at the kobolds in the form of small arrows he easily dispatches the small group of kobolds 

Remarking that it feels way easier to control blood after gaining blood sensing, he walks up to the kobolds storing up their dropped loot in his space pocket which consists of a grand total of 1 kobolds Nail 

Absorbing half of the kobolds blood and storing the other half he continues his dungeon dive switching between using his spear, sword and magic to get more familiar with them

Very quickly reaching the end of the first floor which is expected as the first 4 floors are recommended for adventures with stats between I-H, he continues slaughtering any and all monsters he encounters which only includes goblins and kobolds for now

Easily passing the second, third and fourth floors in quick succession he absorbs a group of kobolds blood with a smile on his face as if addicted to growing stronger after each kill which if another adventurer saw they would be very freaked out

While walking to the fifth floors entrance he suddenly feels a presence from above pulling out his short sword he cuts the ambushing predator in half and looks down at its dismembered corpse to see a dungeon lizard, an ambush type monster

After his encounter with the dungeon lizard he reaches the fifth floor where we can finally see some new changes in the dungeon which include the colour of the walls changing to a light green colour and the floors structure changing to become more complex and diverse 

Holding a more cautious stance he walks along the fifth floors dark corridors bracing himself for the so called newbie killer monsters that reside on these floors 

Feeling movement he dodges a long outstretched tongue moving at him at fast speeds and looks at the origin of the tongue seeing a large frog monster with one eye

Quickly closing the gap using his superior stats he pierces his spear into its eye blinding it and leading to its subsequent death but before getting a chance to catch his breath new monster show up Consisting of a group of 4 War Shadows the strongest monsters on the fifth and sixth floors they look like dark humanoid monsters with long arms and three claws that are as sharp as knives

Dodging their combined attacks he doesn't back off but instead focuses on one War Shadow while keeping the others busy for a moment using his blood magic

Killing one with a spear to the chest he swiftly kills the rest as well with either his sword or spear 

"I should practice how to use magic while moving or fighting" Sanguinius says to himself after his battle with the War Shadows adding it to the things he will do after leaving the dungeon

Continuing on Sanguinius encounters more of the same monsters until he reaches the seventh floor where he finds a lone Killer Ant walking aimlessly, throwing a blood arrow at the ants stomach he pins it to the ground 

He waits for it to call its friends as he learned from Rose that Killer Ants have the ability to attract their allies using pheromones while in a pinch

After a short while a hears a loud thumping and finds a group of 10 killer ants looking at him angrily 

Throwing his liquid blood arrows at the approaching Ants before they get in melee range he picks off 6 of them, missing the rest because of a lack of accuracy and when they get in melee range he uses his spear to kill them switching to the sword when necessary 

Finding a nice Rhythm he kills the monsters in his way which includes Needle Rabbits and more of the same until he reaches the entrance to the eighth floor and takes a break there eating some pre prepared foods and recovering from his encounter against a pair of Purple Moths which manged to poison him slightly

After the break Sanguinius pushes on continuing to the eight and ninth floors which consists of more of the same monsters but stronger requiring an adventurer to have a status of at least E in their basic stats

Feeling some more pressure from the stronger monsters but nothing significant he kills them as well becoming stronger after every kill and reaches the tenth floor where it starts to get actually serious 

The tenth floor is similar to the previous floors but the size and amount of rooms increase and the length of the hallways between them shorter, the ceiling goes from just over 3 or 4 meters to nearly 10 meters. The ground becomes a short grass plain and the entire floor is being illuminated by the phosphorescence from above similar to the sun

Walking slowly through the mist of the tenth floor he finds a band of small mischievous imps trying to lead him deeper to what is presumably a trap, knowing about their mischievous nature from Rose he ignores them 

Seeing that their tricks didn't work the imps abandoned their previous plan and attacked wildly trying to bite and scratch his face and arms 

Using his Armor to protect himself and blood manipulation to attack he swiftly kills one imp and uses its spilled blood to attack the other imps quickly dispatching them 

After his encounter with the imps he walks deeper eventually encountering a huge pig headed monster three meters in height wearing old hide at the waist like a skirt

Feeling a sense of danger from the monster he keeps his distance and bombards it with blood arrows to little effectiveness

Sanguinius seeing the lack of damage runs closer to the monster trying to attack it with his spear piercing its thick hide with difficulty

Backing off he stares at the monster realizing he's outclassed in every way but instead of giving up he thinks of something he learned from his biology classes how if theoretically you could control your heartbeat you could overclock the heart's cardiovascular output to rapidly boost your metabolic rate. The result increasing your velocity, acceleration, torque and, consequently damage output (1)

"Since I can control others blood I can obviously also control my own" Says Sanguinius with a smirk starting to control the blood withing his body to move faster across his body mimicking an overclocked hearts cardiovascular output 

His heartbeat becomes loud enough to be heard from a distance, his skin and eyes become red with visible blood vessels where you can almost see the blood pumping across his body at an absurd speed
