Pill of Reconstruction

After that event, Dave didn't dare to put new members of his army in that place anymore.

Now they were fighting Sandworms and a small Fire Lizard.

Because of fighting Sandworms, they were trained to expect an enemy from every direction, because Sandworms can burrow to the ground and strike them from every direction.

Fire lizards can control some fire elements so it can train them when fighting mage and such, though It's not as good as a real mage, It's still better than nothing.

The army was separated into 2, the normal one and the elite one, there isn't a division yet since the candidate is still young and their experience was limited.

Because of Dave telling the mage to go faster, and then telling Hadwin to help, the kingdom wall was being created at a fast pace.

But, because of that Hadwin can't teach as often as before, In the end, Neal can only teach them alone, making his workload increase.

Because of that, Dave was worried that Neal was going to overwork himself, so he decided to give the Pill of Reconstruction to cure Neal's core now.

Neal was busying him with work, he was grading the last training, and then thinking about the next lesson he should give to the Mage.

While Neal was busy someone knocked on his door.

"Come in." Neal Invited.

Dave opened the door and then took a seat.

He waited for Neal to finish the work on his hand since he didn't want to interrupt Neal's work.

There was a moment of silence for a few minutes.

Neal looked up and saw Dave sitting there, waiting for him.

He was shocked and then he got up and bowed "Your Majesty, forgive me for not knowing that you came here, Would you like some tea?"

"It's fine Neal, you don't need to bow to me, anyway I come here to check on you, and also give you this." Dave got close to Hadwin and then gave him the Pill of Reconstruction.

"What is this sir?" Neal was confused because the pill looked like a small mudball.

There is no way he is giving me a mud ball right? or does he want to joke with me?

"This is a pill to reconstruct your broken core."

"You must be kidding me right? There is no way such a thing exists." Neal sighed, because he didn't want to think about his broken core anymore, it was just too painful to remember.

"I'm not If you trust me eat it" Dave gave the pill to Neal and then waited for Neal to eat it.

Neal knew that Dave was serious but he hesitated for a moment.

"Are you doubting me?" Dave's face darkened.

With no choice, Neal swallowed it.

When Neal swallowed it, the pill felt cold and calming, but then suddenly he shouted in pain.

Seeing Neal shouting in pain, he then asked the system as to why Neal is screaming in pain.

"Well duh, the core is a part of the body, of course, he felt pain when it's going to be destroyed, and then reconstructed again, But if he can persist his Mana core would become better than before." The system replied.

'Damn I should have asked the side effect first... damn it'

"You must persist till the pain is gone!" Dave told Neal who was shouting in Pain.

When the mage heard the scream they all gathered in front of the Neal office.

They were going to get in to see what's happening, but then they stopped in their tracks.

"AAAA THE PAIN!" It was Neal who shouted.

but then it was followed by Dave's voice "The pain will soon go away don't worry!"

What the F*ck is going on there? Everyone's mind was going elsewhere.

I never thought the King likes that kind of play, and with an older one at that...

Neal was about 30 and Dave's age was 22 the gap was pretty big.

"I want to throw up.." One of the Mage then threw up.

Well, everyone threw up because they were imagining about the things that were going on inside the office.

"Your right, the pain is gone, I feel amazing!" Neal was happy.

Everyone outside was going to get a heart attack.

"We should disperse and never tell anyone about this," one of the Mage suggested.

Everyone nodded and used magic to clean the mess outside and then leave the office entrance.

Though they said to never tell anyone, the news spread like wildfire, without Dave and Neal knowing.

Inside the Office.

Neal was shocked, he felt his lifespan increased, and most importantly his core was restored!

Although he has to start again, it was easy since he only needs to accumulate mana, though it would be a waste to not improve further.

"Thank you!" Neal kneeled.

No words can explain Neal's gratitude to Dave.

He didn't ask where he got it. Because it helped him a lot.

"Your welcome, You better work hard from now on!" Dave smiled and then left the room.

Neal smiled and then started to gather mana, It was true his core is really back!

He swears he is going to serve Dave for the rest of his life because of this. Neal core was very important to him.

When Dave arrived outside he smelled a stench.

"What the hell? is this smell!" Dave pinched his nose.

but suddenly a male mage waved his wand and then the smell was gone.

Dave looked at him, and then asked "Why is there such a stench in front of Neal office?"

The mage avoided eye contact and then said "That's...Uh, my experiment malfunction, and then the smell came here, I was trying to clean it, now if you excuse me I need to clean all the place from the stench goodbye!"

The mage then ran off like a wind

Dave was confused because people would always ask him questions whenever they meet him, but why is he running away?

He decided to forget it.

he got other work to do!
