Being a Vampire God

Ian has been suffering from a mysterious disease for ten years now, reaching the end he closed his eyes and let out one last breath.

'Beeeep…'

As his spirit left his body at that time, a mysterious energy travelling through space and time got attracted to his spirit and so they merged in doing so a small shockwave was released and caused Ian's spirit to cross to an alternate reality to his own and into a different time.

"Take him to safety, the capital is under attack from the evil dragon, god help us all" an old man handing his teenage son to a guard.

The guard left the castle and dived into the woods outside, running to protect their prince as they watched their kingdom get burned by the black dragon in the sky.

But they didn't get far as the dragon passed above them spewing fire, only the prince was left alive running for his life afraid, shortly after he arrived in a small cave.

Just as he went inside he collapsed immediately, opening a passage to Ian's spirit.

「Assimilating Spirit to a new Vessel」

「Spirit Assimilated」

「System Starting….Started」

Ian now inside the Prince's body opened his eyes and sat his back on the cave's wall, looking around trying to adjust to his new surroundings.

𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘮 𝘪..𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘮𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘩𝘶𝘳𝘵𝘴

Putting his hand on his head, rubbing his temples.

「Ding」

「Choose or Extract a new species from Host's Memories」

A white screen with English letters on it, he didn't understand what was going on right now so he tried to piece together his memories, it only took him a few minutes to realize that he died and got another chance at life but at same time hijacked someone else's?

He didn't receive the memories of the previous owner of his current body, all he got is his own and that weird voice inside his head, he read few novels in his previous life but all he could come up with is a golden finger or something like that, so he stopped thinking about what it is and stare at the white screen in front of, having no idea which option will he choose.

Hopefully there is something that he liked in his previous life, vampires although they have some not so pleasant weaknesses he still loved them, if he were to be one he'd surely enjoy it.

𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘪'𝘭𝘭 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘨𝘰 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵 𝘰𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘢𝘴 𝘪'𝘭𝘭 𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪 𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 Ian thought as a new window popped up.

「Host should concentrate on the memory」

Ian closed his eyes and concentrated on his memories, and so he went through a time when he watched his favorite tv show, where vampires had red veins under their eyes, fangs that bite harder, super strength, speed and last but not least immortality but that all that came with weaknesses so to balance the natural order.

When he concentrated enough, he opened his eyes as a new window replaced the last one.

「Ancestor Vampire Created」

「Adjusting 'Ancestor Vampire'...Adjusted」

「The host will go to a state of sleep while the body goes under transition from 'Human' to 'Ancestor Vampire'」

Ian read through as he got a sleepy feeling attacking his brain and eventually slept in.
